Roseanne is an attentive and skilled massage therapist. She instantly made me feel comfortable, and she seems very knowledgeable about human anatomy. I have extremely tight muscles, and the deep pressure was a bit painful at times. I was worried that I might be more sore the next day. But, I felt far better the next day! Roseanne also took the time to talk to me about other ways that I could mitigate my muscle tightness, using special pillows, for instance. I will definitely return. Wow - so given the owner's response definitely do not come here (see my full review on a prior post, reviewed on my mother's behalf as she is older and has difficulty with using online platforms such as yelp and I had booked the massage for her mistakenly thinking the overall high rating was evidence of good honest service). This business is clearly some kind of grift. I believe the owner - Roseanne - has untrained uncertified people carrying out most of the massages. The woman who massaged my mother had limited english proficiency and did not appear to be a professionally trained masseuse. Unfortunately we are seeing this more and more in the med spa and med spa adjacent worlds - RNs weilding their licenses inappropriately and ultimately delivering a subpar and at times even dangerous service to the customer. I have reported this business to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office, the California Department of Consumer Affairs, the Better Business Bureau as well the owner Roseanne to the California Board of Registered Nursing. FYI pretty much all 5 star reviews are from over 2 years ago. Something fishy is going on here. As she stated in her response I am a Stanford physician and know when quality of care measures are not being met. read more

Roseanne is Awesome! Just finished my first massage with her! She focused on the areas that were sore and even did some cupping on the areas that needed attention. I just ran a half marathon this past weekend and had friends who said I definitely need to sign up for a professional massage, boy am I glad I found Roseanne so close to me! I got a gift certificate from my mom who loves this place, and after lagging for over a year I finally scheduled with Roseanne. Coincidentally this morning before the appointment my neck stiffened up so we had something extra to work on. Roseanne was fantastic with asking what I needed and making sure I was comfortable, and also worked over most of my muscles in our hour. I told her that I was ok with pressure because I wanted to loosen some muscles up, and boy did she lean into it! However, she took care around my neck, and also used some hot stones and offered to try some cupping to reduce the inflammation as well, which I took her up on. Overall a great experience, and while I can't get out for a massage often, if you are looking to work on some muscle pain or issues I would highly recommend Roseanne and I will definitely return. read more

The place is clean and she is very professional yet friendly and easy to talk to - enough to get a hug after my massage! Terrible! Awful! (OK hope I scared off some people because I want ALL the appointments for myself!) Roseanna is the best massage therapist I have ever seen, and I've been receiving weekly body work for over 10 years across three states. She has an amazing knowledge of anatomy and is a former nurse, so her ability to restore function and balance to the body is second to none. As an athlete, I also need a lot of pressure and she can deliver! I've gone in with a bad headache and walked out pain free. I have had a lot of massages and been to a lot of masseuses in the past, with weekly bodywork done for neck and shoulder issues I have from long days in front of a computer during certain times in my life. I do feel some relief after getting a massage here but be aware it's more of a brute force type of massage. Roseanne spends a lot of time using her elbows and forearms pressing into your sore spots or across the the muscle fibers, where I've found that the most effective massages for me are ones where the masseuse uses their hands to target the sore spot and move your limbs or body to loosen the muscle and increase mobility. I feel like here she's trying to beat my muscles into submission (notice I'm not saying painful - I've had more painful massages than this one). Again, I do feel some relief but just not as effective for me as other massages I've had in the past. read more

Pain, can be good. Hurt, can be good. It's part of life. It's ok, sometimes. Whether it's a heart or a couple of legs. You learn your limits. I hurt my legs trying to prove a point on a 50 mile ride through Marin on Sunday and have been broken since then, licking my wounds and trying to rebuild me-self. Rubbed special pain stuff. Did a magnesium bath and drank all kinds of liquids, contemplating the error of my ways. Felt nauseated from the toxins and other stuff in my system all day the day after. Went for a swim, hot tub, steam and finally collapsed on the doorstep of MassageOnBroadway. Sort of. Roseanne rocked it and was friendly and inviting. I've not been to many massage therapists, so that was a plus, me being a dude. With what I would call seeming expert knowledge of the human anatomy, she got in and under every little bone/muscle/facia connection that you can fit an elbow/finger/hand. Phew. I feel good. This was my first time having a personal massage, so I was a bit apprehensive. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Roseanne. This review is late but I still wanted to share my experiences. I have seen Roseanne twice, in the Fall of 2016 and January 2017. I came to her for a long time muscle pain in the Fall and she figured out what muscles were involved, worked on those muscles and sent me home with stretches that I could do at home to completely fix the issue. In January, I came with a stress related neck/ back/ shoulder issue and she went above and beyond to release the tension and again educated me on what was happening and what I could do at home to fix my issue.
