Now that I have been here many times, here are the 5-star aspects for me: (1) best value: the value is so good that I don't know how this place stays in business. But! It's no-frills. This place is for people who just care about the massage & don't need a fancy place (2) foot massage: lower 1/2 of leg massage is clearly the house specialty (3) very strong "productive" back/shoulder/neck massage: if you want to crush the knots out, decompress an achy spine, & get that blood flowing, the masseuses are strong enough to get some real work done (4) appointments anytime - especially late up to 10pm! (Rare! I can only go after kid's asleep & husband's on kid duty) (5) proper face lotion for face massage - not massage oil on the face! (6) customizable: I don't like hot stones & they let you get the massage without that. You can add cupping. (7) you can go with a group! (8) so much parking - now with an EV charging area too (9) next-door to food, nail salon/waxing, shopping - everything you need. /// FYI!! my friend told me that this place was under new management. i was very optimistic, since i didn't have a great experience with the predecessor, but unfortunately, it was not the experience i'd hoped for. i requested a 30 minute foot massage ($35), which was 5 minutes head massage + 25 minutes leg & foot massage. i used the restroom to change into shorts, so that the masseuse could have access to my legs. i then returned and was led to a shared/group room, with about 8 reclining chairs. i was given a tub of warm water to soak my feet in, during which time my gal proceeded to give me a head and face massage. i've had a scalp massage before, but not a face massage, and it was a little rough. she then proceeded to spend the rest of the time working my calves, feet, and toes...all of which were quite tight, especially since i'm a long distance runner. i had told her that my right foot, bottom and side, were a bit sore, but i'm not sure if she understood what i meant (mind you most of the staff do not speak good english here). i think i dozed off a bit, good sign! but then she told me that time was up. i put my socks and shoes back on, went to the front and paid, in cash. there was a sign for tipping guidelines, $10 for average, $15 for good, and $20 for superb, so i went with $15, but later regretted it (and also forgot, this was probably for 1hr services, not 30 minutes, so i left almost 50% tip!) as soon as i got to my car, i looked in the mirror to see that my right eye was swollen! i felt it was a bit itchy, but didn't realize it was swollen! i suspect the masseuse's hands weren't clean or she pushed too hard in the area around my right eye b/c i've never walked out of a massage with a swollen/irritated eye! not sure i'll return...possibly just for the foot massage next time, and request that they not touch my head and face. read more

I am hesitant to write this review because I don't want to give up my new favorite spot! It feels like a hidden gem that only I know about! I have been to many many different massage places, both corporate, private, and Chinese reflexology style and hands down, by a MILE CoCo is the absolute best I have ever had. Bear in mind that I want a VERY hard massage that feels like the therapist is almost trying to kill you lol. CoCo has incredible strength, but where she stands out is knowing WHERE to focus that strength. She runs her thumb across your body and searches for knots and tension. I will also use Google translate to inform her of problem areas if needed. ( Chinese Simplified seems to work ). I recently moved from Redwood City to Gilroy and will likely try other local spots, but I am very doubtful I will find someone who is as detailed, thorough, and professional as CoCo. Also, as others have said, the business has changed hands fairly recently, and the owner and her sister are working hard to make the place inviting and professional. The only improvement I would suggest is adding a sound dampening curtain or other material to block out the noise of the kitchen / break room area in the back. It can be a little distracting. Beyond that, I have no complaints. Also, TIP WELL. I always ask for a 2 hour body massage, and I have NO IDEA how professional therapists can sustain constant pressure for so long, and that's coming from someone who used to be a professional mechanic! I tip $40 for 2 hours. Seriously bummed I am moving, but I am sure I will make the over hour drive if I can not find a local place with the same dedication to the craft that CoCo obviously has. read more

Five stars for Wilson. I called and was able to get an appointment immediately. It took me five minutes to drive over. I got a 30 minute foot massage from Wilson. Excellent. Firm hands--yes! I have flat feet with planter fasciitis. Wilson massaged every problem area in each of my feet--the balls of my feet, my arches, and my heels. PERFECTION. I was finished and initially someone else I was with was going to get a massage until I gave my masseuse a $10 tip, when suddenly this other lady asked me how my experience was... I said it was good!... she looked at my tip and demanded more. (She was not even my masseuse) We were so taken aback. If you're going to demand money (which tips are supposed to be optional in any case) add it to the total cost so we can decide if want to get this service or not. Just ok for needing a massage close and convenient with not so overly horrible pricing. Every time I have been here I have had a different person doing my massage of course some better then others so the massage is different each time so it's hard to say but overall 3 out of 5 this time. Missed my pressure points feet to head massage just wasn't enough pressure and I am a person that can't take deep massage I'm in pain after so if it's not enough for me then should say it was pretty gentle more or less rubbing for a hour. read more

Spectacular massage! This is no frills and a bargain for what you get. I don't know the name of my massage therapist, and I am not sure he understood my communication. What I do know is that I have a high pain threshold and i am a huge fan of productive treatment. I've been to so many massage spots around the Bay Area and this was definitely NOT a good one. When I specified I wanted a reflexologist to work on my busted neck, head, hands and feet, the guy at the front said no problem and walked me to the back. The woman who worked on me didn't know how to give a professional massage and definitely didn't know reflexology. She would do one side one way and do the other side another, completely mismatched which is bad for someone like me who had chronic pain & back problems. She didn't focus on any one area (especially not the ones I asked them to) so I didn't get any real relief like a $65 massage should. Her version of a head massage was too scratch my head raw, continued to hurt well after I left. Once she started with the oil she kept slipping hitting me by accident. She didn't cover my hair when she was using the oil, or wipe me down properly so my hands, feet and neck were still still oily when I left. When she left to get the hot towels to wipe the oil she was gone for like 10 mins, barely wiped me down and used the same oily sheet on me after. To make it even worse when I was in the middle of this, you could clearly hear the break room where people were using the microwave repeatedly, beeping at every button and letting it beep fully at the end. I'm pretty sure I heard 3 guys heat up their food and continue to debate loudly while they were. And even stranger, there's a window in the door so anyone walking by can see you changing. As well as the sheets had holes in them (see pic) and the table head rest was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I still gave a small tip and the man at the counter has the balls to tell me to tip more. When I mentioned that she didn't know reflexology and the massage wasn't anything I was looking for he proceeded to LIE to me about how reflexology is only in your feet excuse me? This place was great!! Although it was my first time receiving a professional massage it went better than I expected. Yay!! The strength they used on me was consistent, it wasn't too painful for me to the point that I couldn't bare it. The customer service there was beyond great, they were not only friendly, but would double check or even triple check on you to ask if you were okay or if you need something to drink like water or warm tea. The atmosphere was very relaxing to me, they played nice soothing music and the light was dimmed to make me feel like I was at a far away land. Tonight the owner (who sits at the front desk) forcibly put his hands on me and shoved me up against the door. I grabbed the phone and called the police. He then grabbed the phone back and hung up. The police called back and he told them everything was fine but I yelled out to please send the police as I was assaulted. I continued to yell as the man truly put his hands on me. The police came and a report has been filed. What's sad is I've been coming here for years as a regular. Also upsetting is that other female customers told me to keep it down when a man put his hands on me. This is all because I questioned the owner about a masseuse that was really bad tonight. Recently they let me try Helen, who is one of the business partners for the place as well. She was also great. Over the past year that I've been coming, they also remodeled the inside to make it much nicer. The massage rooms/cubicles have also been remodeled and look much nicer now and much cleaner. A big improvement! The man at the front desk who usually answers the phones to take my appointments now recognizes my voice all the times and automatically knows whom I like and books for me immediately. I came here for my first massage experience ever, so I don't have a lot to compare it with. We made appointments for my friend and I, to arrive at 7pm on a weekday. We were just down the corner and since El Camino is the worst, always, during rush hours, we were a few late. We called ahead, and they were very understanding. We entered, and I could tell already it was a very private venue. It was *dark*. The one strange things to me is that it looked like an office ceiling - and then private cubicles where everyone got massaged - only slightly dressed up with fabric and things lol. We got to choose the massage we wanted (although I have to say, full body massage is a little misleading - they have a foot only massage, but also misleading). My friend and I were led to separate rooms, and they have you keep all your clothes on. Note, is that you probably want something that is movable, so you can roll up your pants to the knee or something - I wore a dress and hindsight, it was awkward to move in since I was worried I was revealing too much! Haha. They cover you in a towel, presumably to keep you warm and relaxed, but it's def not one-size-fits-all. My guy was very aggressive, actually. He worked over the knots in my shoulder and back pretty well. We could only compare notes at the end, but my friend said she wished that her masseuse (?) was a little more aggressive with her. I felt sore ALREADY - they offered us water at the end(tiny cups) and it was much wanted lol. I was so thirsty! I think my masseuse could learn a few things about reading peoples' bodies - there were a few times that I very obviously winced, or the pressure was too direct for me, but he persisted. Since it was my first time, I felt he should have been a little more receptive to things like that - I was not super vocal, and I wanted to trust him - I mentioned I was sore, but not for an extensive period of time after. Just a day or two. But I think that was a good sore, not a bad sore. And then obviously it went away. It was a learning experience for both of us - but I will probably remember to speak up a bit more next time. Payment was cash only, also! They were a little awkward since my friend was trying to ask for change, to break her $20 so that she could leave the correct tip, and he was kind of insistent that she leave a certain amount - very pushy, if you ask me, but it made it pretty uncomfortable. read more

With these types of places it is always a hit or miss depending who you receive as the massage person. The facility is rather ghetto as there are tacky curtains separating the massage chairs, it's almost always noisy and the place generally smells like someone is cooking rice. The deals are: valupak coupon for $20 or you can buy a package of 5 for $120---but it has a 6 month exp date. For all of you 1st timers----for the *foot massage*: you keep all of your clothes on, you are in a room with others, you receive a full body massage (the majority of time is spent on your feet---but you can request they focus on other areas), time is an hour and tip is recommended of $5 or $7 if you got a good person. These places are now popping up all over so you may wish to try another place. Parking is easy. read more

This is a no frills spa. You are taken to the back which is huge but broken down into a bunch of little rooms with wall dividers, so not all that private but they offer a great massage. I been here a couple of times with out a reservation and it has been pretty easy to get in. read more

This place is great. My second time was yesterday and it was so relaxing. I don't really like massages because I tend to get cold or ticklish and I find the whole thing awkward. But this is very different. Massages are over clothing mostly and you don't walk out all slippery with oil. Foot massage was great and so was shoulder and back massage. Just the right amount of pressure. Atmosphere is very quiet and surprisingly private feeling given that you aren't in a private room. But the best thing of all is the price. I went to Pandora foot spa with a friend who loves the place. I've been before. The massages are just ok, but she loves it. Two days ago my massages was pretty awful and painful. That isn't the worst part though. When I got home I realized my bracelet that I know I had on when I arrived was missing. I called thinking maybe they took it off during the massage and I failed to see it on the table (ever the hopeful person that I am). It took three calls and a few transfers for me to explain the situation. Long story short, my bracelet was stolen off my wrist while I was being massaged. I cannot prove it, but I know it's true. I will never come here again! I consider myself somewhat of a massage connoisseur and I'm by no means prude when it comes to a masseuse's hands on me. That said, I'm pretty sure I was groped when I came here. The masseuse I got lacked technique. He was pretty much just squeezing me in different areas at a ridiculously rapid speed. They were more like pinches and this made it impossible to relax. When I was on my back, he massaged my shoulders and made his way to the top border of my chest and then to the side, massaging right below my armpits. I mean this is totally boob territory. Gross! I thought it was weird at first, but decided to ignore it. But then, I flipped over onto my stomach and he worked my back. Only, he didn't really work it. His hands kept coming back to my butt and chest. He would massage my back and his hands would sneak around my side and tap my chest as if it were an accidental tap. The first time I went, I was like.. meh.. not so bad but not the greatest so I decided not to write a review but after tonight's massage, yea... I'm going to rave about them. Ok. First visit.... like I mentioned, the guy on the phone was super nice so points for that. My therapist had great technique but I needed a DEEP tissue massage. I think he was just afraid to really dig in. (he's a lot bigger/taller than I am) Anyway, it was nice and relaxing but definitely not what I was looking for. I tried telling him to use more pressure but he didn't seem to understand. Ok... 2nd visit. I called to see if there were any available slots for a 90 minute massage. My shoulders were so tight, I was getting a headache. 4 advils later, still nothing. Anyway, I call in and say that I need someone that can do deep tissue due to the tension I had. Response: Ok, no problem. Low and behold... Jim was AWESOME. I don't think he was used to working that hard on someone and I could tell that he worked for it but he definitely loosened up some of those pesky knots. He used elbows, palms and in some cases, knees. The best part was that he seemed to know when to lighten the pressure when working on my calves and shins. Usually when I visit reflexology spas, they keep the pressure the same ALL THE WAY THROUGH and I end up with at least one or two bruises on my calves. Just had the worst massage yet by a middle aged guy here. Super rough pressure, with calloused fingers that left scratches all over my upper back. Asked him to lighten the pressure and that worked maybe for a couple minutes at most. He left me feeling traumatized. Never going back here again. I should've gotten up immediately. I tried Pandora over the weekend for the first time and it was NOT what I expected it to be. The basic protocol, the set up, the environment, the noise factor, the workers chatting + hawk watching, etc. were just OFF. That's the best way to put it or in more of an articulate words... "run down" from what I am use to with foot spas. Think Motel 8 style and the modern day term "so not on point" aka sloppy. I'm sorry but some of the reviews here make it sound like a high end foot spa. I've been to MANY on the Peninsula in my days and this is by far the lower end of the chain. Two stars because 1. the lady at the front desk is sweet + made me smile and 2. this place could have potential if they made the environment more relaxing and more pleasant. My masseuse, David, approached me and did not look thrilled to work on me. His energy and attitude were off. I felt an IBS attack coming as he started not knowing what the heck to think as he grunted and was baby sat by other workers who all were talking in a language I could not translate. You KNOW when people are chit chatting about you though. Please don't try to fool anyone. It's obvious and the same crap they pull at most nail salons. Chatting + pointing = dead giveaways. The foot bath was barely filled with water and whatever was in there was cold. They want to start you up and have you sit on a stool to do your back and unless you have super man posture I can guarantee you are going to get your hunch on. No thanks. I told them i wanted to lay down only and sitting like that was hard on my back. They then had be stand in the water bath bucket and twist around. Anyone with balance issues could of easily fallen over. It's not safe. The massage itself was not that enjoyable. I wasn't even about to try to communicate with him because his attitude was a bit intimidating after all the gruff of first impressions. I think I was more relieved that the session was OVER than relieved of stress (whole point of going in there right!?). Here's why it works for me: 1) Open long hours--10:30 am to 10:00 pm, even on CHRISTMAS. 2) Value--$25.00 for the basic service, and it's heavenly. 3) No appointment necessary. WALK IN. 4) Professional services. Every massage therapist is licensed, and very detail oriented. Russell at the front is friendly AND professional. 5) No products to "up sell" you on; no retail sales attached. The first time I went, I got a 60 minute massage with Eric, and he worked those knots out of my shoulders like it was not only his job, but his hobby. BUT, 60 minutes was not enough, so I got dressed, went back out to the front, and ordered an hour foot massage, where I fell asleep like a fat little baby after a bottle. I feel sorry for some consumers who rate businesses poorly, because they are afraid to speak up and say, "Please stop, this isn't working for me". I see it often on YELP. Pandora foot spa is AMAZING, so cheap, $20 for an hour foot massage and 30 minute full body massage and there is ALWAYS someone available. It is a very clean, quiet, zen spa and the woman at the front desk is so sweet. I had an amazing half hour body massage and even the clothed one was amazing.
