Hmmmm....I am so relieved I did not read the reviews before trying this place for the first time.. I had a great experience. The massage was very targeted. Kelly was my masseuse. I didn't tell her where my problem areas were as I wanted to see if she could find them. She caught 100% of them. I'm so impressed. I recommend you see for yourself to decide if you like this place. I had a very weird/bad experience in this place. My friend and I went to get a massage at Sun Flower San Carlos a couple of weeks ago. The recepcionist, which also was her massage therapist charged us right away when we arrived at our scheduled appointment (what even being unusual, I was allright with it. Each business has its own choices/particularities, right?) However, she decided to add how much she wanted in tip/gratuity to our credit card. When I saw the receipt she remove from the CC machine, she added 80% tip for both of us. When I try to ask her why she did that for a 1h massage, she pretended she couldn't understand us and demanded we go to the room to get ready for the massage. I pointed at the price chart displayed at the wall and mentioned we would like to give 20% gratuity instead. But we had no luck with that lady. My friend and I were looking at each other speechless and chocked. Since we had payed a fortune for the massage, we decided to get ready and wait to see what would be that outcome. It was the most awkward massage we ever had. Had a great experience with Jenny from the moment I called to make my appointment to the time I paid and walked out the door. She was polite over the phone and in person, took me right away, and had an excellent massage technique with good pressure. The best part is, it is affordable! The place itself is very cute and clean, and has a nice relaxing cozy vibe. The bathroom is also very clean and Jenny is warm and inviting. I was there last evening after a very disappointing business with a dude from San Carlos who really had very little understanding of the concept of fair business. Anyway after all was said and done I found this massage place right by where I was and decided to get a massage . Jenny was very welcoming and took me in with a welcoming smile. The massage session was great - on the surface it looks like she is just giving you a light massage but the technique she has really does pull out the knots and soreness. I had an appointment a block from Sunflower and decided it would be nice to give them a try for a relaxing foot massage. I came here today on walk in circumstances and the women running the shop were VERY rude and what I feel to be dishonest with me. I came in requesting a 1 hour reflexology foot session but apparently they were ALL booked... not just for that afternoon but for that day and then guess what? all the way until the weekend. Well, it's Tuesday. I THINK NOT. You can't fool me. I was treated like I was either a 1. undercover cop looking to bust them 2. swamp thing they wanted nothing to do with or 3. useless customer who is gay and uninterested in forking out extra money for extra monkey business. It all really upset me and after debating scheduling a bit I just left. I am sure that made them happy. The place is small and clean. They have 2 reclining foot massage chairs set up in the open lobby where they do they foot massages. I don't like the idea of the chairs being in the open lobby because then you get disturbed by the front door and any lobby chatter. This place is one of those places that is what it is but isn't anything overly special and the customer service is just flat out insensitive. They are also a bit more expensive than Happy Feet or Oceanic or any of the other popular foot spas... and while I am curious as to how their foot massage technique is I am not going to dish out 30 bucks + tip to a business that was so rude to me! read more

I had a great experience here. 30 minute massage and a 30 minute reflexology for $55. I gave her a $10 tip because she was great and super strong. She was between 40 and 50 and didn't speak very much English, so most of her communication was smiling and nodding. It was oddly liberating not making any small talk during a massage. The lady at the desk spoke more English and both of them were very kind. The massage was a little different from the standard Swedish. Some of the strokes were done over a thin sheet and some of were on skin with oil. I was partly covered by a sheet at all times, but I was more exposed than I am used to, mainly when she was massaging my hips. But it was fine. I will definitely come back for reflexology soon. I will wear shorts next time so I don't have to roll up my jeans. 30 minutes for $20. So awesome. Ahhhhhh, relaxing. My feel are so happy. I should be in that movie. this is my second time here. I usually go to a reflexology place in union city, where i live, but sometimes i come here after work. they strictly work on the lower extremities for the foot massage. In union city they mostly work on the feet and include your entire body for 10 less. I guess since it is in San Carlos they upped the price to $30 for an hour, and $20 for 1/2 hr. if you only want your feet worked on, then this is definitely the place to go read more

The massage was $90.00 for one hour, way higher than other places. I paid in advance. When I was done the masseuse didn't believe I paid in advance. Once I convinced her, I gave her a $20.00 tip (over 20%%) and she looked incredulous. I asked if she was asking me for more and she said "I gave you a good massage..." SAVE YOUR MONEY! The good: Convenient location behind Trader Joes and able to be fit my husband and I in right away. The BAD: Smells like a chinese restaurant when you walk in. Each room is open much like a tanning salon room so you can hear everything that is going on around you. My "therapist" and I say this loosely wasn't there when I arrived @ 5pm. I was lying on the table, face down for 20 minutes before she arrived. THE HORRIBLE: Therapist didn't speak ANY English so when she started to massage me I couldn't communicate with her to STOP what she was doing. It was so weird...it wasn't anything I have ever experienced. She was pressing and pushing and by no means was this relaxing it was more annoying than anything. I asked her if she was a Certified massage therapist she didn't understand what I was asking but the front desk gal overheard this and walked into my room. I scheduled appointment and was able to get an appointment the same day. The person who was massaging me was also a receptionist . Every time the phone rang she stopped massaging me and went to answer the phone. It was very distracting because not only I could hear the phone ringing but my massage lady kept stopping to massage me to answer the phone. I was ok the first two times but I finally had enough. I made an appointment as a first time customer for a 60min deep tissue and when I arrived, she tells me that it will need to be 50mins only because she had a party to get to. Thankfully it was close to get to so no commute hell to go through, but it was during traffic hour.
