Jay was our sales contact at American Windows and he was absolutely great. He has an engaging personality, and kept all his commitments to us. We appreciated that when installation day came, he swung by to ensure all was going well. Oh, how did the installation go? It was fantastic. Not only did the windows and door come earlier than promised, the American Windows crew came on time and worked quickly and professionally. We were amazed that the whole job only took 4 1/2 hours to complete. The windows and door materials are high quality and we are very satisfied with the results.

He gave us repair ideas, explained potential causes, pointed us toward the right tools, and gave us contacts who could help. The communication could be better. I'm told they have a new system for appointments. When they did come they seemed efficient- 3 person crew. They were friendly. I can't really climb on the roof so I guess I can take their warranty and word the job was done right. In sum I think the communication could be better. They came out and replaced the vent and associated shingles. Great fix! Now, 25 years after moving into this as a new house, I needed a new roof. I got two estimates, one from Marshall. Marshall's representative, Doug, was so thorough and professional in his reprensentation to me and offered a solution re moviing the attic exhaust fan closer to the eave and keeping the ridge vent. The other estimator suggested removing the ridge vent. I wasn't comfortable not having a ridge vent. I again went with Marshall. It was a two day job. They dedicated a more than sufficient crew to the job. The guys were so attentive to protecting against falling shingles as they were stripped from the roof. In short, they did an excellent job! I had absolutely nothing to be concerned about with Marshall's professionalism as a company. And, there cost was lower than my other bid. I only got two bids as my past experience with Marshall and with Doug's representation made it a no-brainer! If you need a roof, go with Marshall.

RESPONSIVENESS - very fast, very responsive, very professional. A tad too frequent, but apparently roof repair is a competitive business. INSPECTION - scheduled and conducted efficiently; exceptionally thorough inspection report (David). COST - in line with all other quotes, which are apparently driven by the insurance estimate. Green Oak differentiation included owner interaction, master roofer certification, 5 star rating, excellent warranty, professional documentation and workflow management. WORK - scheduled efficiently, material arrived on time the day before, crew arrived on time the day of, work was conscientious and completed in 3/4 day (townhome), clean-up (including loose nail hunt) was impressively thorough. AFTER - received certificate of completion in a timely manner, along with photo record of repaired roof. Not being a roofer, it's difficult to assess the integrity of the new roof & shingles, however the end result appears clean and professional. Suspect the new, high-quality roof will increase the townhome value and/or decrease time to sell based on the high-quality products used and overall curb appeal of the work. Brian H. took me through the process from start to finish, including an insightful explanation of the insurance claim process. The free estimate happened within a few days and ended up being lower than the insurance-assessed quote. He recommended a roof "tune up" as part of the package without pushing or trying to upsell me for more, which i really appreciated. He also accommodated my inquiry of adding on the installation of a bathroom exhaust vent cap, which was missing when we moved in. From inside the attic I can see a little bit a water on the pipe so I knew that was the problem. I had called five other roofing companies including JR's. Within 30 minutes I had a callback from Ramon who said that they could replace them the same day. I had another company quote me 2 1/2 times as much. Which was a complete rip off, terrible... I was really happy with JR's pricing and the response. In 45 minutes they were on scene and up on the roof. They brought down the old flashing boots and sure enough they were dry rotted. It was really disappointing that other companies would want to rip somebody off that much.
