I am very particular and detail-oriented and the work done by his sub-contractors- plumbers, electricians and tile guys was very high quality. Months after finishing we had a minor leak (nothing to do with his work). The carpet was old and almost flat and reeked of baked in smells and inattention. The ceiling was popped corn and was just as ugly. Both had to go. We interviewed a half dozen GCs but when we met Guy, a Program manager from Master in Design, we knew this was the team to go with. The work was swift, professional and detail oriented. The carpet was removed and beautiful vinyl floors were installed in less than a week and flattening the popcorn ceiling was even quicker. I'll start by telling you I put this project out to bid with four different vendors. The job was to replace the beat asphalt driveway aprons with matching/compatible interlocking pavers on both of our driveway entrances and one driveway and back at our garage. The bids ranged from a high of $44,000 to a low of $16,700. When Master in Design submitted their bid, it came in a tick below $16,000. I'm not a "go with the lowest bidder" guy, but Jacob and his crew got the job done perfectly, on time, with professional grade materials, great clean up and a terrific attitude. I contacted this company after suspecting damage to the foundation of my home and to address drainage issues. I had a fairly tight timeline and needed the ant and all work complete within 3 weeks. Barak, with Master in Design was the fourth guy to come out for an assessment and quote. Barak arrived well prepared with copies of the company's license and permits and all required paperwork. Barak assured me the foundation of my home was secure. Then we focused on the drainage. We conversed about several different topics and I really appreciated his honesty. I'm a single woman and he did NOT try to convince me to do unnecessary work (one of the other companies did). He said they could start Monday morning, the following week and would be done before weeks end. He also offered a 5 year guarantee on the work. Monday morning a crew of 6 arrived at 8am and finished all the demo, drainage, and prep work for new pavers. The pavers were delivered the following day. Day 3, all the pavers were laid. The job would have been completed but they ran short on sand. The following morning the crew arrived and finished the job. The crew was hard working, polite, and respectful. Barak was on site the morning work began and he stopped by to check in each day. Barak and his crew set the bar very high. I highly recommend him as project manager, and Master in Design for home repair/renovation. My only wish is that I would have taken more before photos. read more

We interviewed 8 GCs for our upstairs bathroom remodel. It's almost a complete Reno with only part of the flooring was retained. Our project manager, Guy, is good to work with. From the interview to the job completion, he was straightforward and transparent. It was easy to reach him and he is always quick to respond. He's a good communicator and easy to talk to. I called the company and they sent a project manager over for a quote on framing, insulation and ceiling drywall. The quote was in the middle and it seems reasonable enough for me to decide to move forward with the work. On the day we were supposed to sign the contract, the project manager stopped by and told me that his boss said they could not do it with the quoted price and that they will need 5,000 more which is additional 50% of the quoted price. They offered to finance the project but who would be not so smart enough to pay much higher price and interest. So I decided not to go with them. Truly masters in design! My bathroom needed to be desperately updated, and i had called master in design after i had already seen a few other companies. Danny came to my house and we spent about 3 hours discussing the project , going over all the different options from colors to the total layout of the bathroom. We signed a contract and after a month my beautiful bathroom was complete! We ended up doing the floors throughout the house and the kitchen countertops and cabinets as well. A little late in review but a promise is a promise. I am reviewing about my contact and communication with David project manager. Although we did decide to go with another company-due to our budget- David was great in giving me a estimate by his third visit. It took a little longer to get a estimate due to the fact we had another contractor stop after being on the project about 3 months and there was additional things had to be figure out. David was very kind, patient, easy going. He listen to all my concerns and my requests. I am very detailed oriented especially since I study interior design and knew exactly how I had wanted certain thing. David was very flexible in trying to make changes to the first estimate to get us down and closer to a price for our budget. He even offered different incentives programs available by the government, loans I believe to help with the project. At last we didn't want to pull out any additional loans and decided to go with another company. We appreciate all the time and effort David took. If you get David as a project manager he will be very responsive and respectful during your quote. I just always advised making sure to get at least eight quotes. Our experience with Master in Design was excellent! We wanted to remodel our bathroom and had several other companies talk to us and all we got was bad vibes or ridiculous estimates. Luckily we found Master in Design! The first person we met, Erin, was knowledgeable and easy to talk with. We discussed the project, and he gave us a reasonable quote. We also had a tight timeline and he was confident the project could be completed within our timeframe. He became the project manager and expertly guided our remodel. Demo started immediately and our initial impression was fantastic. Our carpets and floors were covered and every worker who came through was courteous. Every day someone was here on time working and there was a supervisor, Moe, who communicated the day's plans with us and made sure that everything was cleaned up and put away at the end of each day. The best part was our project supervisor, Adam. He was only a text or call away and quickly and efficiently solved all of the little problems that occur on any construction job. The company actually beat our timeframe by a week and delivered a superior bathroom. We are in Orange County and were concerned that this company was too far away from us. I can no longer recommend this company for remodeling ,I will admit they did a beautiful job on my bathroombut the first day they were here tearing it apart they punched a hole in the door i was planning on keeping and busted my verticle blinds throwing the debris out the window in my master bedroom ,I called Danny the contractor on the jod and complained about it, he said no problem he would replace them and never heard back from him again ended up spending 500 dollarsbto replace them myself. The last day of the job his men were in a hurry to finish and placed on of the towel racks in an awkward place , i called Denny and told him i wanted them to come back and move it, when they came they refused to do so saying they were starting a new job and did not have the time to move it or patch the wall and repaint it, no one has ever come by to inspect their work or ask me if i was happy with the job they did. They were going to do another job for me to replace some of my electrical , but at this point i will not allow them back on my property. You pay them all this money to do a job and promise you the world, such as when we were talking about how the job would proceed, I was told they would have a dumpster here from day one , it never showed up and i had apile of trash sittin in my front yard for two weeks untill the job was done, the last day they left empty buckets and some bags of trash in the yard that i had to dispose of, so if you hire them keep an eye on everythin they are doing because in the end they will disapoint you read more

So following up on the last review from my kitchen project. I finally heard from Master in Design owner Danny around 9/26/19 & he wanted to stop by & check out my kitchen remodel/renovation after he noticed my poor review on YELP. We scheduled for an appointment & he arrived to see that there was some flaws to my flooring. After expressing how disappointed I was with the entire process, Danny apologized & stated that the workers & sales person Shai Natan were no longer working for his company. Danny was very apologetic & concerned about the entire process & felt the need to offer me $600 to have me fix the flooring flaws. I indicated that he honor the 4 year warranty that was initially promised under contract & have him keep the money & fix the flooring problems. Danny arranged for a future visit & scheduled for his new flooring guys to come & fix the broken laminated floor planks. His flooring guys arrived on 10/10/19 & fixed one issue but left another issue with my floor not exactly 100% due to some gaps & buckling. Also, the new flooring guys ripped up my recently installed floor & used 2 new entire boxes of same color laminate flooring that I had for my bathroom remodel. Then they decided to haul away all of the recently installed flooring away as trash. Danny has asked that I remove my initial YELP review but my wife disagrees as we both feel that no else should go thru this nightmare again. Dan appeared to be a very nice, good and honest person. That is until my carpet arrived. The crew was so great, worked at a steady pace, took up the old, dirty, light-color carpet and reconditioned the subfloor. The carpet they brought out was wrong as it was almost the same color that was torn out. It took 1 text & 2 calls to have Dan come out. Unfortunately, Dan had already made up his mind that this was the carpet I ordered when it was absolutely the wrong carpet, not even close to the dark one-color brown carpet I wanted and had waited 1 week to be ordered. Why would I order the same color carpet that has haunted me with all the dirt it shows from years before. Dan didn't know why I ordered it but was sure this was the one when we discussed this at length and he was RIGHT THERE WHEN I CHOSE IT from the limited selection I was shown. Then he has the audacity to accuse me of "altering the facts", asked me if I couldn't just "live with it" then had the nerve to say it was his fault but would I pay another $500 for the carpet I ordered? They're doing more work and I am really nervous about it now that I've invested $5,300 to tear out the old carpet and install what I didn't want... and the carpet wasn't even mentioned in the payment schedule. OK, I will start at the beginning. I met with five contracting companies including master in design prior to making a decision. This was my first full bathroom remodel, so I was very concerned about the cost, time and dust. Ofer was very hands on from the beginning, and helped me understand the process. He introduced me to Jesus, his foremen, and Jesus was very respectful. From the demo to the final installation for the shower glass, Ofer was always available. Due to multiple projects Ofer's assistant Gil would check in, and stop by to view the status and quality of work. Gil is extremely helpful and handy. He noticed my mailbox lock was not working, and offered to repair at no cost, and not it's working just fine now. The project lasted a bit longer than I liked due to some custom items I selected.
