Run away from this establishment as fast as you can! They will quote you a good price then once they have your belongings they will raise that price sky high!!! I chose to use Master Movers because they gave me the lowest quote, and they were pleasant to deal with on the phone. I chose to have them move my furniture only, antique pieces and pieces of furniture that have great sentimental value to me. No boxes no packing supplies needed. Quoted that quilts and straps would be included. The movers did not strap in an antique China cabinet (120+yrs)and chose to prop it up with my couch. They dropped a drawer and damaged the corner and put a huge gouge in an antique dresser. All of this 2 weeks ago and I've yet to hear from an adjuster. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

They promised three guys, only two show up, then I ended up helping to move in place of their third guy that failed to show up, they broke some antique china given to me by my parents, then they refused to pay the claim stating they didn't pack the china. I had the china packed in layers of bubble wrap and had the box clearly noted in red that the contents was china & to be extremely careful. They were not because the box was partially crushed. Sadly disappointed in their service, their promise to provide three guys, how they damaged our household goods. These guys were completely unprofessional. They were being obnoxiously loud goofing around during the moving process; they didn't even bring the paperwork required for the move. In the contract I have online it is riddled with grammatical errors, looking back this should have been a red flag for their standards for professionalism. Once my things arrived to my new apartment I noticed my 3000 dollar couch had rips and tears all over it, I was pretty annoyed. So I submitted a claim and two months later they give me some b.s. about how it's only 300 pounds so they can't pay me for the damages and instead they send a leather repair kit. I hired Master Movers to move a two bedroom home from Indiana to Florida in early May 2015. Once the drivers had picked up the items in Indiana, I received an email that I would not be receiving my items until I paid an additional $220 (even though they had already picked up the items). I paid the amount within 48 hours chalking it up to maybe a size underestimation (although I sent every item's specifications to the company prior to the quote). In late July, after several emails and phone calls, some of our items finally arrived. Several items were damaged and many were missing, including an heirloom baby bed that I had noted as the most important part of the shipment. Over the next 8 weeks, my husband and I attempted to get the company to email, call, communicate with us when we could expect our missing items. Multiple estimates of shipment were given and not accomplished. They would always promise that 'this person' or 'that person' was going to fix it, call us, dispatch it soon. Today is Sept 21, 2015 and we finally received the last of our items (with more damage and no notice that they were even shipped yet). Mere words cannot express my frustration with this company. DO NOT HIRE MASTER MOVERS. I am not writing this to get back at the company for our months of anguish; I am writing to save the next person from having to go through the insanity that we have dealt with over the last few months. I gave them the deal to ship my furniture from Indianapolis to Canton Michigan which is just 275 miles. .Initially they told me that they will deliver within 5-10 days!! After 6th day I started calling them to know the status. .The dispatch people had no clue when it could be shipped. .I told them I have two year old kid. He is sleeping on the floor. They were not at all sympathised. On 9th day when I called the dispatch girl got mad on me why I am following up so much as she still not sure when it will be dispatched. .She tells me that it could even take 30 days to get shipped. If I want it now I Have to go for express shipping. .As I didn't have any option,I took express shipping and paid the loosers additional 1500$.. And if you are thinking it's over, let me tell you it's not yet end of story. .Last Sunday they came to deliver my stuff. .The delivery guys does his crapy paper works and ask for 650$ which we were suppose to pay on delivery. .I told him that you haven't delivered my stuff yet. .How can I ask for money. .He called the owner of the company and he was instructed by him that he can take away his truck If I don't pay him before. .When I wanted to talk to the owner, he said he don't talk to the customer. .Meanwhile they started moving the truck. Two days out from my move, tried via email and phone to contact someone and could get no response. Cheated my elderly parents out of several hundred dollars. The original estimate was $350. They showed up seven hours late. Said that the cost of moving materials was "accidentally" not included in estimate and it would now be $650 or they could find someone else to move them...in the evening on their moving day. (I should also clarify they were only hired to move a few large pieces of furniture...all of which had been disassembled prior to their arrival and only a couple of which had to be wrapped...WHAT SUPPLIES? ) They damaged furniture and milked the clock by being on phone for first half hour then wanted to round up fifteen minutes when finishing at five after the quarter hour. When finally the move was done and they gabe him the card he would not give a copy of receipt...said there were no carbons and his copy had to go to the office. Actual charge to bank was over $800. Said they would "compensate" for being so late and now will not answer any calls about that or about the money they STOLE. There are reviews all over the Internet about them doing the more classic scam with out of state people of shaking people down for more once they have all their stuff loaded or they keep it for months. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It is a scam and they will take advantage of you. In October I used this company as I was unable to make rent and had to move into my parents house. I didn't want to bother my family to help me move so I shopped around for professional movers. I spoke to a rep on the phone named Marilyn from this company and told her exactly what I needed move and the layouts of both my apartment and parent's home. She quoted me $300 and some change which I paid in advance. When the movers arrived on site, it was just me, and they tried to say that there were more items and that the stairs would cause extra fees. All of which was included in my original quote. Without my approval or an itemized receipt of additional charges, they charged my card that morning an additional $265! Immediately, I called my card company and said it was fraudulent as they never provided me a list of all charges. The movers had some trouble moving stuff into my mom's basement, but other than that, they loaded in the one hour loading time and unloaded in the one hour loading time for a total of 2 hrs and 30 minutes of drive time. After the dispute case opened on my credit card, Master movers provided fraudulent documentation to dispute lawyers with handwritten paperwork where they had crossed out the hours and took and said it took 5 hours instead of two. They also said they moved a table and 5 chairs, which I clearly do not own as I am a single 24 year old. However, they claim everything is in good faith because I initialed the paperwork...paperwork they crossed out and put new times and hours on! I am reporting them to the better business bureau and will likely call every single day to get my money back. I am even tempted to spend more money on opening up a case in small claims court for the fun of it because that is how shady they are. Again, if you want movers, use Uhaul or College Hunks. WORST MOVERS EVER!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! This "company" turned what should have been an exciting time into a nightmare that won't end. They show up for pick-up with little notice, refuse to accept our method of payment (even though our contract says otherwise), then stop working and corner my wife in a room until she talks to their dispatcher and gives her credit card. Show up with NO notice, many items damaged and clearly not taken care of. Also apparent they went through multiple boxes, and even stole some of our personal property. Wouldn't bring boxes inside, saying they don't have to. The worst part of this: WE DIDN'T EVEN HIRE MASTER MOVERS!!! Not in a million years would I have hired this company. My attorney sends a letter demanding payment for over $1,000 in damages and stolen items. They refuse, saying we got a refund from our original company, which counts as covering damages. No, that money was them giving back our deposit for screwing us over for giving us to your terrible company. And Ben Moshe, don't bother with your format response; it's sad. How about you and your company take responsibility for all the damages and stolen items? And I would LOVE to see your statistics to back up a 98% customer satisfaction rating. Given the large amount of negative comments about your company, and the fact that your company was kicked out of the Better Business Bureau for poor business practices, I find it EXTREMELY difficult to believe such a claim. Crooks and scam artists! My original quote was for $544 to move all my large furniture out, store it for a week and then deliver it to my new location. I received several invoices, payment receipts and documents by e-mail (all of which I have kept as a matter of record) with differing amounts of them; the price kept changing and they could not provide a proper invoice. Finally after complaining about the changing price, we settled on a new change of $578, which I paid in full before the price changed again. The movers arrived, pulled all of my furniture out into the street, then informed me that they had ran out of time and I needed to pay an additional $190 for two more hours of labor so they could load the furniture in the street onto the truck. $578 + $190 = $778 When the movers brought the items to my new location, they said I owed an additional $265 according to their office. They could not begin unloading the truck until I paid the randsom. $578 + $190 + $265 = $1043 Don't let them do this to you too! read more

Short story: They broken a wooden leg off of a table during the move. I submitted a claim, took them 3 months to get back to me, only to say tuff luck. We aren't going to reimburse you. Master Movers is not recommended. Long story: We moved back in May, and during the process of loading everything into the truck, one of the movers ran the leg of a wooden cherry half table into the frame of a door breaking it in two. They apologized and said that my move was covered by insurance and that the company would contact me after the move was completed. Which was fine, I understand accidents happen. They moved me into my new apartment and had me sign a form noting that there were damages. A week went by and no one contacted us. I reached to the company and they had already closed my file as a successful move in. I was a little upset, but again things happen and I had then explain the process of submitting a claim. By that time we had already removed the table add it was unfixable. They said an image was needed. That would have been nice to know up front. They said that I should submit the claim anyways and they would get back to me by making the form to their office. THREE MONTHS went by before they got back to its via letter stating that since we didn't purchase additional insurance they would not pay for the damages. I do not recommend Master Movers. Had I taken the time to google this sorry excuse for a moving company, I would have run fast and far in the other direction. The crew that was assigned to my move was unprofessional and inexperienced. Every piece of furniture I have has been damaged and the contents of several boxes smashed. The crew would not honor requests for care and consideration and used my stuff as their punching bag. The issues have been brought to the attention of the Owner during the move and after, he blames me for the damage. The only blame I have in this is hiring Master Movers. I am disgusted that people like this can continue to con and extort customers and have not been shut down. What they do is illegal but they expect most people will drop it because it's not worth pursuing. MasterMovers failed miserably to meet its basic promises and obligations to move from Fort Wayne to Indianapolis area. I recommend that you do not trust thm with your move or belongings. Below are just some of the examples of their poor - Master Movers did not finish loading vehicles in time to have us out of our house before 5:00 pm the day of the move as was promised and required by our contract. Movers did not finish until 8:30 pm - Master Movers was unable to move all of our belongings - we had to make arrangements for others to move the remainder of our belongings the day of the move. - Master Movers did not deliver 23 boxes, a patio table and a bicycle that were picked up from our home in Fort Wayne and stored by Master Movers. - Master Movers charged $516.94 more than the maximum stated in writing that would be charged for the move and refused to unload our belongings for 2.5 hrs until I provided the additional amount in cash. They stated that if I did not pay the additional amount they would leave and charge an additional amount to unload and reload our belongings. - Master Movers did not have us scheduled to deliver our belongings as was promised. It was not until I called the morning that Master Movers was able to put together a crew to deliver our belongings. The crew did not show up until 1:30pm, were not allowed to begin unloading our belongings until after 4:00 pm did not leave until nearly 9:00pm. - Master Movers left our house a mess and did not re-assemble the beds, tables or dressers that were disassembled by Master Movers. -Master Movers severely damaged several items (Armore, baby grand piano, antique candle, lamp, bar stool, metal lockers) resulting in thousands of dollars of repair needed to return items to their pre-move condition. It was apparent from the truck as it was being unloaded and the number of broken boxes and totes that little care was taken with our belongings when they were in their possession. read more

Watch out! Master Movers in Indianapolis has been unbelievably unprofessional and unethical. They packed up our house, stored our stuff (supposedly in climate control storage) and moved our stuff into our new house. Their packers are SCARY guys - creepy, dirty hustlers. They just threw everything into boxes (heavy stuff on top of breakables) and hit me up for a cash tip when they finished! ALL of our clothing and bedding + every piece of upholstered furniture arrived smelling like mildew, every piece of wood furniture was broken and scratched, dishes, pottery and ceramic pieces were broken, picture frames were broken or scratched and every lamp was bent and broken. 2 trucks arrived with our stuff and we called 1-800 GOT JUNK to dispose of a truck load. We had to replace 4 mattresses, 3 couches, dozens of chairs, all of our bedding and towels, all of our kids stuffed animals and tons of clothing. Interestingly enough, I found the movers to be more courteous and understanding than the customer service agents. I made a full payment in good faith that I would receive the services that I was promised and expected. Given between 2-4pm as the scheduled arrival time, I received a phone call every hour on the hour to let me know that the wait time has increased by at least 2-4 hours. The gentleman who informed me was very professional but needless to say, I was not a happy customer by the time he told me it would not be until between 8-9pm that the movers would arrive. I was patient up until this point. He explained to me that the customer scheduled before had not disclosed all items to be moved and they would not leave their customer stranded. Although I agreed with this stance, I wondered how they could satisfy one paying customer to disappoint another exact paying customer. Not sure how this became my problem at this point but he asked if I wanted to move my scheduled date to Sunday. I planned the schedule strictly for this move as it was right before the holidays and I had to go out of state for a previous engagement. Although the company ended up obliging, it was not until 830pm that they fulfilled the services in which I paid. I emailed the sales representative Marilyn whom was very persistence in follow up for booking the move initially was now non-responsive. I was passed around 3 times to finally end up at "customer service." I asked the lady if this was frequent that schedules were moved to the next day and she said it just depended on the situation. She was neither friendly nor understanding and stated she would relay my dismay to the company. I did advise her that I'd be posting my comments. Although not out right rude, her tone was evidently annoyed as was I. At the end, she slammed the phone. This was one of the top moving companies on the web last winter when I was looking to move from the Kokomo area to Indianapolis, I regret not doing more homework on them. Awful experience and its been over 90 days since they moved my belongings from storage to my new home and still no claim recovery for the money lost for the items they packed and busted while moving. I packed my best china extremely well and then they got dropped and all of them busted but I chalked that up to my fault because I was the one to pack them even though they were packed very well. And almost all of my end tables had their glass busted or broke and I have never gotten a dime to replace them. I have called, emailed, and texted the owner Ben weekly and still nothing. I have even asked to call the claims office myself and can't get a number or companies name. I have sent photos of all broken items in July and still nothing. On top of all that, some items were also reported MISSING in May of 2017 when they moved me to storage and I filed a police report, nothing has been found from that either. I just hired Master movers this past Saturday. Let me say I was very hesitant from all the negative reviews on here. I had already paid my deposit so went ahead and continued with the move. I had Louis and his crew of 2 other employees. I'm sorry I am horrible with names. One was an older black man and the other a younger black male. Everyone was very respectful and courteous. They might not have been the best dressed, like some of the previous reviews but they all had company shirts on. This isn't a fashion show and they are not performing surgery on me so not really important to me. I had a 3 Br house with very large/ heavy furniture. During the quote over the phone, I walked room to room naming everything in each room. EVERYTHING.. Which seems to be an issue with previous clients reviews. I explained all the extra care things like flat screen TV's, tanning bed, extra refrigerator, and washer/dryers. Linda who is the lady I spoke with majority of the time, walked me through every step and was very understanding. She explained the extra cost if I wanted them to move specialty items, she let me know about the cost of special boxing for the TV's.. She gave me the option to move them myself. I choose to move several items myself to save on cost. The quote initially after walking through everything I thought was low estimating only taking 5 hrs. I have had several moving companies over the past 6 yrs, They all usually took 7-8 hrs to completely move my house so I informed her of that. She adjusted my quote to satisfy me. So Saturday they show up at the appropriate time. Came in and began to work. No issues at all. Louis and I walked through the house and noted everything. I explained a few of the bigger items like my desk and armoire was a tight fit. I took the doors off the rooms. The movers did better than the corporate company that moved us to Cincinnati to Columbus IN. They did not hit any walls removing my things or damage any items. They packed my items and secured them in the truck very well with no issues. Bottom line instead of me continuing to ramble on is your paying by the Hr. If you used a mover before, you understand the amount of time its going to take to move your belongings. These gentleman worked very efficiently and effectively. They actually moved all my belongings in 4.5 hrs like they initially quoted, with the drive time they finished in 6 hrs. They saved me $270.00 off my quote. If I have one issue it was that the younger gentleman wasn't as gentle with my belongings as I would have liked. I mentioned previously, nothing was damaged so not really an issue at all. I just think it was him rushing to move things trying to keep up with the other 2 experienced workers. With more experience I am sure he's going to continue to become a even better employee. Don't hesitate in hiring this company. The previous people who wrote their reviews prior might have been a little more satisfied with the move if the would have accounted for everything they had in belongings and initially notified the movers if packing was involved. I went with this company because the sales person was very nice. However, they GROSSLY misquoted me & packed up items that didn't need to be packed. I admit the order was slightly changed. We told them 20 boxes & it ended up being about 40 boxes. However, we didn't pack the Queen size bedroom suit as originally estimated. The gave me an estimate & the bill was 3X the amount originally quoted. Not only that they broke my grandfather clock, Office desk, scratched our living room stands & bedroom furniture. They almost drove away with our 64" Flatscreen TV on their truck. They said, "Oh... I didn't even see that on there" If we didn't check the truck, we would've been lost. I went through them because they seemed to have a great deal. They said they were giving my mother a Senior Discount because she is nearly 70 yrs old & I feel they took advantage of her. Then I called to tell the representative of the damage. She had the never to say that they will not do ANYTHING because we didn't call them 24hrs after it happened. I advised we talked to the men while there about the damage. They even tried to repair as much as they could, but could only do so much. After spending 25 mins of convincing the rep that something must be done, she finally agreed to send me a claim form. She responded with, "We'll see what my manager says about your claim." I wish I could give zero stars. I had major damage to my dryer (a daily use appliance) and several other items (actually most of my my wood furniture has some sort of damage) were scratched. Update on my damage claim I submitted with Master Movers. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. I don't want anyone to go through what I've been through. I completely followed all requirements for their claim process and all of my claims (including the damage to my dryer which was going to cost close to $1,000 to fix) were DENIED. After numerous follow up emails with the "customer service" asking for the resolution to my claim I finally received the denial and copies of 2 forms I apparently signed on the day of my move (which they didn't leave copies of because they didn't want anyone to see these 2 very important forms unless they needed them to use them to deny a claim). Here's the SCAM: they show up on the day of your move when the you have everything all packed up and ready to move completely unable to change the day of your move or find alternate movers (because of closing timeline) and then the foreman pulls out a form and has you list all of the most difficult and largest items to move then sign it releasing the company from liability for any damage caused to the item or your house when moving these items. These items included my king size mattress, large armoire, washer/dryer, 2 couches, and a large entertainment unit. If the customer refuses to sign this form, these large and difficult to move items would not be moved and the customer is stuck moving them on their own, which completely defeats the purpose of hiring movers! They completely back the customer into a corner leaving them no choice but to sign the release form or not move that day (which in most cases is not a option as you're usually signing papers on the house the next day). I provided a complete list of my items that I would be moving during the initial quote a month before my move, which included all of these "inherent risk" items as they refer to them, and if I had known at the time of booking them as movers that they would not assume any damage I would have NEVER booked this company for my move. But, of course, they know this, which is why they didn't provide that addendum until the day of the move (this clearly could have been provided along with all the other paperwork I was sent at the time my quote was obtained, but wasn't). They provided this addendum on the day I already had all of my things packed up, just a day before I was signing the papers to sell the house I was asking you to move my things out of, which left me with no choice but to sign these documents. I would also like to add that all of the items listed as "inherent risk" were not a risk at all, they were moved through large doorways, 6 ft wide hallways, and from one ranch house to another ranch, so not even a staircase to deal with, so this refutes any reason these would be "inherently risky" they just wanted to release themselves from any damage their negligent movers might cause. They also have a "no wrapping" sheet they have you sign and although I didn't list any items on that sheet, they used this as a reason to deny the claim on other items not listed on the first form. Since there was nothing listed on this sheet EVERYTHING should have been wrapped, but obviously wasn't (oh, and they use blankets and tape, which they'll charge you for, to wrap everything, so it looks like you didn't buy wrapping materials either). And if that sheet was signed stating that you wouldn't have to wrap any of my items, then I would have expected NOTHING to be wrapped, which would have made my move much shorter and the crew wouldn't have gone over the allotted time and I could have saved a few hundred dollars. read more

I used Master Movers for a move about a week and a half ago. They originally quoted me $365 for 3 hours of time. The first $99 was a mandatory deposit and the remaining amount to be billed on the day of the move. When the movers arrived, they charged the full $365 on top of the $99 they already received and then after 2 hours told me I was out of time and had to purchase a minimum of at least another 2 hours. The entire job was completed in 3 hours, just as I was originally quoted. However I was charged $99+$365+$200, almost double the price it was supposed to be. I was told I would be refunded the amount that I was overcharged. A week and a half later, I am still waiting on the refund for the money that should have never been billed to my card in the first place. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I had a horrible experience!!! I hired them to move my one bedroom apartment well in advance, and they scheduled me for 4pm-6pm arrival. They never showed up and at 6:30pm I started calling the office which of course was closed. I finally got a call at 8:30pm from the actual movers that they were running late and still working on the move before me. My option was to wait or reschedule for the following Tuesday (this was Saturday). Obviously I could not reschedule so I waited until they finally showed up at 11pm. It had started snowing at this point. They did not offer to wrap any of my soft furniture, just started rushing my belongings out the door. I even made them coffee and begged them to take care of my stuff even though they were clearly exhausted. They told me they were scheduled for four moves that day and had been working since 6am. It was 1:30am before they had the truck unloaded at my new place. They did not follow any instructions on where to put boxes or furniture. Everything was thrown into the basement and my bedroom to the point where I could not set my bed up due to all the boxes. My mattress and couch cushions had to be professionally cleaned after being drug through the snow. After all of that they wanted to charge me extra for going over on time. I refused and said I wanted to speak to the office because at that point I felt I was owed money back. I even said I did not blame them, I blamed the office who scheduled them unrealistically. The movers had been tired but nice up to that point, but the foreman then started cursing at me that he was going to have to pay for my move if I didn't sign. He finally stormed out after yelling back and forth for a few minutes. I got one call into the office and was told someone would follow up with me and they never did. I am lucky that I had some friends also there because otherwise I would have felt extremely uncomfortable with three strangers moving me at that time of night, not to mention the aggressive behavior that ended the day. Quite possibly the worst company in business I have ever dealt with, with no exaggeration. I can only blame myself for not listening to previous reviews on Yelp, which were spot on. To say their owner "Ben" is a crook is a gross understatement. He will not think twice about padding charges to an unfathomable level with no explanation or warning. When we had a dispute with our final payment, his solution was to inexplicably increase the dues by another $300. Not to mention, our dining table glass was completely shattered, and they misplaced another piece of our furniture their storage. They will try to hook you by promising some deal on the phone, only to make up costs in excess by adding several hours of handling fees and unloading fees at their warehouse which will seem way out of proportion to the amount of items you are storing. In the end, due to their nonbinding estimates and hidden charges, we payed well over $600 more than we would have for companies that gave us guaranteed estimates. My only hope now is that others read this review and avoid the mistake we made in choosing this company. ADDENDUM 10/11/14: To clarify further, in light of Benjamin's response, some of our major issues with this company occurred when they were moving our items FROM their storage...meaning they already had our full inventory of items and had already calculated the exact time it took them to unload items from storage, etc. When it came time to settle the bill after the movers dropped off our items (excluding our shattered dining table glass and missing papasan chair), we had a dispute with how much we owed. To be specific, the movers called their bosses at the company to confirm our outstanding charges, at which point the company RETROACTIVELY added an hour of storage handling charges to our bill which was NOT reflected in the final invoice that the movers had given us. They claimed that they had inadvertently left off an hour of handling charges...whether or not this was true is irrelevant; it is merely highly unprofessional of the company to do this. When we tried to dispute this over the phone with Benjamin himself, he inexplicably tried to raise our dues by another $300, without offering any explanation of charges. He then instructed the movers/drivers to drive off with the moving truck, which still contained our bed frame, mattress and TV...in essence he was using our remaining items as ransom until he received our payment. Our apartment security personnel had to lower the gates so that they could not drive off with our items, and we even had to call the police (who unfortunately had no role in this domestic matter). We ended up paying for the extra hour of handling charges to receive our items. It is not surprising that after seeing my post, the company leadership now would like to discuss my concerns over the phone as a means to save face in the eyes of other readers. However, I have no desire for any further dealings with this company (Benjamin in particular). I would urge readers to not let my review alone influence their opinion of this company...simply look to the innumerable one-star reviews given by similarly disgruntled customers. read more

The movers finally showed up at 3pm. Two movers and one driver. Charles was great- he worked hard. The other one talked on his phone, talked to passers by, stood around and complained the ENTIRE time. The abnormal way he acted made me thing he was "on something" too (light headed and swaying back and forth when picking up super light boxes ((despite it being a cool day- so not heat exhaustion) and constantly talking to himself and swearing)). The driver was fine mostly but will only drive- no help. And when we were finally ready to go, we waited 30 minutes for the driver to get back from the gas station to stock up on "snacks". Oh and no one had his number. *I was quoted for TWO hours from Kyle and it took them SEVEN hours to take things less than a mile away to my new place.* And I did a great deal of moving heavy furniture to help speed up the process. 700 dollars down the drain. Too bad we can't leave zero stars. Master Movers had the opportunity to be heroes to us; they ended up being complete zeros and charging us based on policy. We scheduled the move the same day with the clear understanding between the Master Movers agent and us that we had to be out of our home no later than 4pm that day. the Master Movers agent and I discussed during several phone calls that the crew would need to be there at 1pm - 2pm latest, in order for us to be out of the home by 4pm. She assured me the owner was on the case and that the Master Movers' team would be able to meet the timeline of getting us out by 4pm. We were SO relieved. When Master Mover's hadn't arrived by 2pm, we called to follow up on where their team was at 2:16PM. A live person answered and said something about dispatch then put me on hold. The call then rolled to voice mail; I left a message asking for a return call. No one called me. I called again at 2:20 PM and it went straight to voice mail; I left a message asking for a return call. No one called me. I called again at 2:39 PM and it went straight to voice mail; I left a message asking for a return call. No one called me. My husband and I called Master Mover's at the suggestion of my realtor. After I had compared rates with a few other companies and answered their online questions. I spoke with a representative of Master Movers who quoted my move at $600 to $800 for 3 men and a truck. AS soon as they arrived they began trying to upsell us and told us that the price was going to be as much as $2000. That, of course, was out of the question. My husband right away had the movers bring in the Few things that they had got into the truck and agreed to pay them for the wasted time. We were stuck in the frantic situation of finding another alternative at the last minute. The most unprofessional moving company ever and I would seriously give them zero stars if I could. They do not show up on time then make up lies their truck is broken down. They do not follow the terms in their contract then they hold your things hostage and make you pay more to get them. The owner has had many issues with the law (look him up) and he has some serious issues in terms of running a company. Here is my experience I hope this help to make up your mind about using these movers. They will over charge you, and not very professional. When we set up our move! We ask if the workers would not smoke around our things. My husband is an asthma and allergic to smoke. When they carried out the fur They dented the old house dry wall at our old house. Tore the base on the oak cabinet! Switch supervisor in the middle of the move. When the move was completed, I ask about the damaged list that I signed with the old supervisor. The new supervisor didn't know anything about the damaged list. I was aggregated during the whole move. When it came down to pay the bill, they charged us for 2 trucks and charged us a total of 9.53 hours of moving. We started the move with them at 9:15 am and ended the move at 3:30 pm. So they over charged us a total of $488.77 dollars. They automatic took out the charge of $1420.04 when it should have been around $931.25 read more

Our furniture arrived three days late with thousand of dollars of damages. Also a step ladder was stolen. After contacting the driver he assured me that he would send a check to cover it,he never did. It took almost a year to get reimbursed by Master Movers and all we got was about one tenth of the amount of our claim. If you decide to use this company, buy all the insurance you can get. If you have anything that can't be replaced I suggest moving it yourself! read more

The only reason I give them one star is because that is the lowest a review can go! The only way I can imagine a moving company being worst than them is for the company to simply not deliver the furniture. Their management structure is HORRIBLE! They agreed to give us a truck that would fit all our items. They give you one figure then up charge you based on fine print once they have you on the hook. DO NOT USE Master Movers. I can safely say and with 100% conviction state that Master Movers made my moving weekend one of the most stressful times of my life and I have moved seven times in the last 9 years. Everything starts off well in the sales department, or what they refer to as their acquisitions department. During conversations they give you an afternoon time frame of 1pm - 7pm and then clearly state several times that the company would contact you 24 hours prior to that time frame and give you a clearer estimate which is a 2 hour time frame (for example 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm). This DID NOT happen. I moved on Saturday and did not hear from them on Friday so I called Friday at 11:50 am, 5:22 pm and 5:46 pm. I then received a voicemail at 6:50 pm stating they would be here between 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm which is what I already knew. I called right back and left a voicemail stating that someone needed to call me back to give me that better time frame that they ensured me I would be getting. That DID NOT happen. Saturday, the day of my move, I still hadn't heard from them. I called at 1:19 pm and was told someone would call me back. At 4:14 pm I called again since I hadn't received a phone call. They said again someone would call me back but that they were busy. I received a phone call after 6:00 pm stating that someone may come after 10:00 pm but they couldn't guarantee that and that the movers may come out Sunday or Monday instead. At 10:00 pm we called again and they said someone may come out after 1:00 am or Sunday or Monday but they could NOT guarantee a time. This company clearly had no intention of assisting with my move even though I had placed a deposit down. In addition, what company allows movers to move after 10:00 pm or even worse, after 1:00 am. I'm not even going to go into the safety concerns and moving concerns associated with that. I never was given a manager's contact information and still have not heard back from a manager with an apology that is owed to me; however, they did refund my deposit.
