I am extremely disappointed with our experience with Two Men and a Truck. After our move, we discovered that numerous items were missing, including electronics, household items, kitchen utensils, children's belongings, and irreplaceable sentimental keepsakes such as my son's handmade baby quilt. When we reported the missing items, we were told an internal investigation would be opened, including a review of video footage. We submitted a detailed list of the missing property in November 2025. After waiting approximately eight months for an update, we ultimately had to follow up ourselves, only to be told there was no evidence that anything remained on the truck at the end of the move and that the company would not accept responsibility. When I asked to review the truck photographs that were referenced as part of their decision, I was told they could not be shared due to employee privacy, despite those same photographs being cited in support of denying our claim. We were also informed that if we wished to file a police report, the company would cooperate with law enforcement. I understand that mistakes can happen during any move. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability, the lengthy delay in responding to our claim, and the inability to explain what happened to so many missing items. At the conclusion of the move, the crew left quickly while we were occupied documenting damage to our newly built home and several pieces of furniture that occurred during the move. Our attention was understandably focused on those issues, and we later discovered that numerous belongings were missing. We entrusted Two Men and a Truck with our family's belongings, including items that cannot be replaced. Unfortunately, our experience left us without answers and without possessions that held significant sentimental value for our family. Thank you for your response. I do, however, need to correct several inaccuracies. First, I'd like to understand what you consider "constant contact." We had to contact corporate twice because we were not receiving responses or meaningful updates from your office. If communication had truly been constant, there would have been no reason to escalate the claim. Throughout the process, we promptly provided every requested document, receipt, photograph, and piece of information. We answered every question as quickly as possible because we genuinely wanted to reach a fair resolution. You also state that the receipts were requested so you could contact the manufacturer to determine whether the furniture was repairable. That was never communicated to us. If you review the email chain, you specifically told us, "That's not the purpose of sharing the receipt." At no point did anyone say the manufacturer was being contacted. Our repeated questions were simple: Could your vendor actually repair our furniture? How was the settlement amount calculated? We never received clear answers to either question. Instead, we were repeatedly told this was an "either/or" situation: either accept a repair or accept a payment without your vendor ever inspecting the furniture to determine whether it was even repairable. We asked multiple times for clarification before making a decision because we wanted to understand how you arrived at the proposed amount and whether repair was actually possible. Those questions went unanswered. Your final email simply recommended that we accept the payout, despite it being only a small fraction of what we paid for furniture that was only a few months old and was damaged while in your care. You also mention that Aaron "did not make a decision." What your response leaves out is that we experienced a family emergency during that time. Aaron even emailed to let you know there would be a slight delay in responding and that he would get back to you as soon as he could. Rather than waiting for that response or addressing our outstanding questions, you mailed a check without any further communication or explanation and declared the claim resolved. My boyfriend and I recently hired 'Two Men and a Truck' to do a rather complicated move. We had to move the stuff from my house as well as my boyfriend's old apartment into a new apartment. Nonetheless, Kendrick and Fisher were up to the task and willing to help with the move which took all day. They were polite the entire time, even though we had quite a lot of stuff. They were also very gentle with our things and made sure to wrap everything meticulously. Not a single item was damaged. They even took some stuff away as my boyfriend and I had some furniture we did not need. I highly recommend Kendrick and Fisher from two men in a truck. Where shall I begin? Moved into a newly-built house on Dec 10. Six movers (five men and a young woman). Here's the list of damages: hutch glass broken, two finials off of an antique bed broken off (they couldn't find the finials), antique Fender guitar case cracked/broken, large gouges on concrete floor in garage, over a dozen gouges and scrapes/scuffs on walls throughout the house, pedals removed from Yamaha grand piano (not supposed to be removed), glass broken on large picture, scrapes and back of antique mirror split, front door scraped, scratches on wood furniture throughout house that we wound up repairing ourselves. It got so out of hand that the supervisor showed up and sent the crew outside. This is a brand new house and was in perfect condition until Two Men and a Truck moved us in. We chose them because they had the lowest bid - our bad! They repaired most of the cosmetic issues but compensation for antique bed damage, antique guitar case damage, and permanent gouges on the garage floor fell seriously short ... $600? And all of the repairs were not completed until a week ago, so damages still visible throughout the holidays. Regret not going with Two Guys and a Truck out of Anderson ... higher bid but higher standards. read more

I would actually have rated them lower. I was in shock at the mess they left. No follow up from the business. They don't care. Avoid at all costs. Buyer beware of these rip off artists. My disabled mother who has now passed needed to move and I am a disabled veteran who couldn't help much. Made the mistake of hiring these con artists. They left a mess would not come back and we got no apology for them not packing everything or taking their trash which we had to dispose of. Not very nice or customer friendly. I used their services this month and everything went according to plan and I am well satisfied. I had three buildings on my property, a house and two garages. I was helping a friend get started in a new apartment by donating some things I had stored from my last move that would not fit into this smaller home I had moved into last year. The movers pulled furniture and boxes from all three buildings. But I also wanted one furniture item from each garage moved into the house. I had explained this beforehand on the phone for my estimate so there would be no surprises for the movers on moving day. They were able to stage this correctly so as not to have to move their truck more than three times. There was no damage to any furniture or buildings. Three boxes were only half full due to them being overweight but they handled them with no issues. This is my fourth time using Two Men and a Truck with four different franchises in three different states for local moves within a city or state. I use them because there is a consistency in the level of professionalism and experience plus the cost is not outrageous as with large national movers. Also, I like being able to work with their crews; not loading the trucks but moving items for staging and as well as helping to coordinate the overall move. I've used this company before but with the Evansville location and had a good experience. Getting a quote and scheduling the move was easy with this Indy location. Moving day arrived and it was past the time the movers were expected to arrive and I never received a call. The office calls me, stating the drivers have been trying to get ahold of me for 15 minutes. I never received a call from the driver. I went looking for the movers and found them myself. They worked quickly, and got everything moved before the original estimate. You are charged by the time used in 15 minute increments. The movers wrapped my furniture, but did not wrap door frames, and punctured a hole in my ceiling on my new house by ramming a bed frame into the ceiling, no apologies offered. At the end, the movers had to call their manager to determine how many hours to charge me as they waited 15 minutes without working because they couldn't get a hold of me by phone. Remember, I never received a call and told the office that when they called to ask if I still needed their services. Their manager decided that I needed to pay for those 15 minutes, resulting in me overpaying for not being contacted by Two Men and A Truck which was very frustrating and unfair. read more

They were terrible. Rude, broke one of my most expensive pieces of furniture, proceeded to tell me they couldn't believe I bought something that pricey, and didn't offer any solutions. Proceeded to charge me the half hour over the estimated time for the time they took to call their boss about it just for them to have no solution. The office never got back with me until I called multiple times. They only said they could have someone repair it when it wasn't repairable. It needed replaced. They are not helpful, and if they break anything they are unapologetic and will not help in any way. read more

Was assisting a friends move. The way they transported and sat the things in the storage unit is terrible. They wrapped up a cream soft microfiber couch only to unwrap it & place it on the side upward on a dirty floor. (It has to be moved from the storage unit) Covers on the mattress & wraps on the headboards only to be removed when placed in storage. Absolutely ridiculous. Also was just informed the customer does not keep the padding but the mover declined to use the sofa covered that was purchased twice when advised we had one. Then said he thought we knew that the couch would be unwrapped once it storage. It's a lot of lack of information being given and MISCOMMUNICATION. Nothing against the drivers. BEWARE OF SNEAKY BUSINESS PRACTICES! I signed up with Two Men and Truck for packing and moving services this past weekend based on the Estimate I received and information I was given during my consultation call. Neither of which were complete truths. Initially I was booked with Sherman for our in town move but we had a preference to move on a Saturday which they charge more for. During my call with TM+aT I asked this question directly - does it cost more for a Saturday move and was met with a response of "not really, maybe $5". OK, great. I did a full video walk through of our space and received our estimate which was about $1500 cheaper than Sherman and showed the packing rate at $255/hr and moving rate at $260/hr. Great, sign me up. I paid my deposit which was broken into two - one for move day, one for pack day, and we were set. I received links in text message that I assumed were receipts as I was told I would receive receipts upon payment. Didn't think anything else of it because I wasn't asked to sign anything, so I didn't. Fast forward to packing day and 3 guys show up and do a MEDIOCRE at best pack job. They dumped perfectly organized storage cube bins out into brown boxes "because they didn't fit well" without even asking if that was ok until they had already done it. They didn't bring any materials to pack our art, of which we had about 50 framed pieces, and they threw a bunch of loose items from our garage into speed packs, much to my horror, with the promise that "the movers tomorrow would be responsible for organizing everything and putting it where it belonged" Spoiler alert: it didn't work out that way. Came time to pay my bill and the total with some deductions came to almost the price I was expecting to pay for the entire move. Huh? After much back and forth with the guys and the office lady who called, we come to find out they sent me TWO separate estimates for our job - one for move day, and one for pack day. WOW. What a surprise, as I never received the second estimate and no one ever mentioned a total above what I expected, or verified I received both. Now what? We have to move the next day and they're asking for another $4k. The manager calls me and I was hopeful we could come to some sort of amicable agreement but he was defensive and less than helpful. He told me they wouldn't give me any sort of discount because they could see that their system sent me the second estimate EVEN THOUGH I DIDNT OPEN IT. I told him that wasn't right because no one even told me to expect two estimates and he stated they "pulled my call and can hear that they did" to which I responded that if that was in fact the case and they could share the call or a transcript with me I would take full responsibility for my mistake and potential oversight. But he couldn't do that. No transcript. Couldn't even play it so I could hear it on speaker phone. SHADY MUCH? At this point it was 6:30pm on a Friday and no alternatives so we proceeded with the move on Saturday. The movers busted their butts in the heat for 13.5 hours moving us. We were quoted 9.5. They needed more guys bc we moved from a ranch to a 4 story home. We had to pay the difference and STILL needed to go back to the old house the next day and take SIX SUV loads of stuff that was left behind to empty it out. And guess who has to unload the speedpacks of random items, build the bed that wasn't built, and disassemble all of the shelving units they stuck in our garage bc they didn't have time to take them apart and move them where they should go? And move the boxes they put in the basement that belong in the attic? Oh, that's us. And the cherry on top? They charge $390/hr on Saturdays for a move, which had I known, I would have just stuck with my original plan of using Sherman and moving on a Friday and saved myself the headache and hours of extra work. What an expensive and horrible experience. Not a single fee waived, no apologies for the confusion, no offer to fix their mistakes, no follow up response to my feedback they requested after "we will look into it". I told friends about it and they were instantly like "ohhh no girl, you made a mistake." And shared more horror stories. DO NOT USE THEM!! read more

I hired TMAAT to move me in August 2022. I had a series of issues but I am going to focus on one. The movers packed my hand-crafted dining with thin wood legs underneath my chunky outdoor dining table with 6-by legs. I saw this and asked them to reposition the tables, knowing that the legs wouldn't hold up. the movers didn't comply and I told them I didn't feel comfortable with the solutions they did come up with to avoid repacking anything. I should have continued to insist, but they were pushy and insistent so I relented. Sure enough, the table leg broke as they were unpacking at my destination. The guys told me not to worry and promptly started a claim. This is when the real trouble started. I was told I would be contact within 48 hours. After nearly 2 weeks of silence, I decided to reach out on my own. I provided a quote from the maker of the table to have it remade. Brittany, their claims manager, reached out to me almost a week later to say that they were hiring a furniture repair company to fix it. I asked who got to decide if it was indeed fixed and she responded that the furniture repair company did. I was uneasy with this, wanting to have the final word on the status of the repair (and knowing that it would be impossible to fix the wood the way it had splintered... ). The only thing I could do was to go on record saying I did not agree to or like the process. Two weeks later I had still not received a call from the repair company. When they finally got in contact with me, I was not surprised to find out that Brittany had been failing to call them back and give them the information. Ultimately, I did all the coordination with the repair company and even told them that I was uneasy with the repair solution. Sure enough, when I received the table back, the repair was uneven. I could have done a better job. I was extremely disappointed. When I communicated this to TMAAT, I was met with absolutely no empathy, no solutions, just hostility and, eventually, the following response: "I've spoken to our team and we will not be taking any more action in regards to this matter" I originally paid $3,000 for this table, which TMAAT knew. I asked for it to be packed differently. I communicated quickly and clearly every step of the way during the repair process. Unfortunately, there is no recourse against a large company like this one. The contracts are written so as not to give you any power and they know it. In contrast, when I moved from my storage unit into our home a few months after this initial move and hired a different company I found them to be less expensive, more careful, responsive, quick, kind, and friendly - all things TMAAT were not. You don't have to settle for TMAAT. There are better options out there. I know from experience. read more

Arrived spot on time bright and early and were professional and clean and very nice young men!!. They moved us so fast and safe! In just a matter of a few hours they had us moved out and in our new home set up and placed all our furniture in their spots, set up our bed to! I'll start off by saying the guys were great. They were professional, worked hard, and knowledgeable. The only thing I disliked is they misquoted me. When I got the quote, I was told everything would fit in one truck but that didn't happen. I would've been more than willing to get a 2nd truck rather than sell things I wanted last minute. They stacked the truck neat and tight to get as much in as possible. I used the storage because I was in between houses for 3wks. I think the price was reasonable and would use again. They moved my sister from our home to her own senior apartment. On a scale from 1 to 10, these guys get 11. I had a move yesterday scheduled for 3 1/2 hours that ended up 6+..... Long story short DON'T!!!! Pls DON'T... did I say DON'T??? I'm not sure if I did but DON'T. From price misquotes to misleading information to rude dispatch, to new workers with subpar to no training. Damaging furniture, etc! If you don't want any trouble DONT!!!!! We just used movers for the first time and I am so glad we used this company. Ben Wenning was very informative and extremely helpful when it came to get us scheduled. They were so pleasant to work with. They showed up on a timely manner. They made sure to handle all of our belongings with care. What we thought would take 8hrs took them only 6hrs! They were also very well priced! They made sure to be very careful when bringing everything into the home. The two guys had a great attitude and were extremely hard working! We used 2 men n truck 3 mths ago. They scratched up our new wood floors. The Manager (let's use ER) spent over 2 months looking for someone to repair all the scratches after they lost the company that handled those issues. So ER said if I could find someone they would just reimburse me. Let's cut to the chase. 4 months later, I'm not reimbursed because ER keeps moving the goal. Never was a mention of needing an invoice, now he needs an invoice and after telling me I would have my check within a week, so apologetic. The day if the move they raised the price 300.00 I paid up with no issue, but had they left a version if chatty Elroy at hone the move would have happened much quicker. I am over 2 men and a truck. Go to a real moving company and not a pretender. There core model is supposedly integrity and treat people like you would family. If you use them, be ware.... read more

Update: Two Men and A Truck commented on my review and asked me to call them. I immediately called them and left them a voicemail. I also replied to the yelp message. It has now been a week and they have neither returned my call or replied to my Yelp message. I think this clearly indicates that the reply was an attempt to seem like they care about customer service, when in reality they do not. Below are the details of my original review: I have used Two Men and a Truck twice to move in Indianapolis. The first time it was a good experience. The second time it was not. When I moved in July, the movers showed up The movers showed up over 90 minutes late (I was given an arrival window of 10:30 - 11:30 and they showed up a bit after 1:00pm). Even though I called the office multiple times while I was waiting, no one answered and I was not able to get any information as to why they were so late and when they would be arriving. They did give me $50 off my move for being late, but $50 off of $800 is a small percentage. The movers started by carrying all boxes by hand to the truck instead of using the cart they had brought, which was much slower (this added to them taking longer to move items than was estimated, which ultimately cost me additional money). The movers then spent another hour loading boxes on to the truck (after everything was already downstairs by the truck), which is significantly longer than it took them to move them out of the apartment. Since I was not watching them while loading on to the truck I assume that they were not working very hard and taking longer breaks. When I told them I thought they were not progressing very fast, one of the movers kept arguing with me instead of working on moving. He continued to argue with me even after I asked him to please work on moving items instead of arguing with me (again when I am paying by the hour to have someone move my items, I want to pay for them to move items not stand around and argue with me). Another mover took a 15 minute break when he thought I was not around to see this (this break was not noted on any of the forms, thus I was charged for this extra long break). I moved into a storage unit, and when the movers arrived to the storage unit they did unload things fairly quickly. However, when I looked at the boxes after they left, they had put all the boxes that were clearly labeled "Fragile Glass" on the bottom of piles (frequently with 4 or 5 heavy boxes on top of them). The entire point of labeling the boxes (which I was instructed to do) is to avoid these issues. It was extremely unprofessional and poor service. I reported all these issues to the office, and they did eventually respond but no compensation was given beyond the $50 for late arrival. When I moved out of my storage unit into another apartment I went with a different moving company and was much happier. I would not use Two Men and a Truck in Indianapolis again. read more

We used Two Men and A Truck to do a local move, less than 30 miles, at the end of March 2020. The movers kept asking were they taking certain items on the truck, or were we moving them. They finally told us they were not contracted to take a full truck when we did a video walk thru with our salesperson and told them everything goes on the truck. They damaged 3 items - broke our double pedestal dining room table so that is was repairable, broke the base of a floor lamp, and broke the wheels off our gas grill. After numerous phone calls and email, we were reimbursed $330 for all three items - not nearly enough to cover replacing all 3 items! We have used Two Men and A Truck for 2 previous moves with zero issues and wonderful service. Will never use their service again! read more

I used Two Men and a Truck Wednesday to move me from my condo to a storage unit 2.5 hours away. When setting up the move, Macenzie was awesome and I even praised her good work to her manager The day of the move the movers called and said they were running late, which is no big deal. When they got to my condo, the lead guy fairly immediately told me that the office "didn't quote nearly enough". They weren't exactly careless but really not careful either. Two of the guys spent about 45 minutes taking apart a simple metal bed frame. I told them it was foldable, but they kept going. Nearing the end of the move one guy took my flat screen TV down the hall. A neighbor complained to me later that he was dragging the cords through the hall and ran into the wall and told my neighbor to 'mind his own business'. The lead guy told me they were finishing up and before they left we would look around. He informed me that when they unloaded at the storage unit they would call me. The last piece was a sofa and they removed the legs and left them in my entry. I looked out the window a few minutes later and they were headed down the street without telling me or looking around before they left. They never called. About 5 hours later I got a hold of my storage unit who said they finished and left. I had tried to email and call the office many times. Finally about 630 the sales manager called. The next day I spoke to the customer experience manager who in my opinion had a bit of an attitude, offered no solution and that was the last I have heard from them. When I got to the storage unit the above tv was leaning against the wall. They finally billed my credit card, no explanation to the increased charge. read more

Our moving team was running a little behind the original propose schedule but I was updated several times about progress and arrival time. Once the guys got on site they quickly got my sons 2 bedroom apartment emptied and loaded and headed to his new address. The moving team was excellent, very helpful and willing to do everything necessary to get the move completed professionally. It was hot, humid and this was the second major job of their day. I highly recommend Two Men and a Truck and will use them again. Service, cost and execution were all excellent and professionally delivered...!!! read more

This business takes a lot of hits. I had a very good experience here. If I move I will use them again. It was a man and woman and a truck. I wasn't sure how it would go, but it went great! They were timely and efficient. i told them the order I wanted everything loaded and they did it as I asked. They put my mattress in a cover which was new. NO ONE wants bed bugs! They are doing their best to prevent it. The truck was clean. The people were clean. When the move was complete they had me walk the truck to be sure I didn't miss anything. Very polite employees. The movers arrived late in a truck that they said was was too small for my belongings and I had too many steps so they told me that I had to contact dispatch to reschedule then left and kept my $100 deposit. I am filing a claim with the better business bureau and I am pursuing other options to obtain a refund of the $100 deposit that I paid for no work. The movers were puny guys that could not even lift my couch. One of they guys sat down on an antique cedar chest and the lid is messed up now. The customer service from their home office is a joke. The quoting process was vague and not an "estimation" but rather the guidelines in which the movers work off of. The movers themselves were great! Customer service is absolutely no help when trying to accommodate any changes needed. Even their follow up was boisterous and belittling quoting their "whopping 96% approval rating" as well as claiming I wanted to keep these movers away from their families into the evening?!?! There was plenty of room on the truck and time in the day. Not to mention over the phone all he did was quote DOT guidelines, never mentioned the care they hold so deeply for their movers. Don't do it! Hired these guys to load my house in a 28' trailer/container. Didn't stack my belongings to the ceiling because they claimed they couldn't use a ladder. As a result, there was so much wasted space that I couldn't fit everything in. When I noticed them not going to the ceiling, they actually started throwing my boxes toward the back and top! In the end, they went beyond their 3-hours, complained about it, then charged me for the added time. I've attempted to call their customer 'care' team 3 times since the loading 5 days ago and have yet to obtain a reply. Seems that the poor customer service runs throughout the organization. So disappointing after being referred to them by my very own brother. I will be disputing the extra charge on my credit card as they have left me no other choice. read more

When they got there, they couldn't pull into the drive way because of the power lines. They had to carry everything to the end of the drive way to load. They had a good attitude about it. They worked together as a team. Very polite guys. Nothing was broken. They were extremely careful with everything. I would definitely use them again! read more

They moved me. Estimated four hours, and despite my conviction that it would not take four hours to move my paltry possessions, it was four hours almost to the minute. They were not slow, they did not waste time, but they were extremely careful and conscientious. Both men were also extremely nice (and clean and professional). I've used two men and truck twice now. The first time was amazing couldn't complain. They were fast, efficient and EXTREMELY careful with my more valuable pieces of furniture. The first time was a dream the second time however was like your worst nightmare. The movers were nice enough, but they treated my furniture like it was garbage. There were scuffs and scrapes on more than 10 pieces, and after they had left, without performing a damage assessment, I noticed the my 900 dollar 65 inch 4k TV had a baseball size indentation in the screen panel. To make matters worse when I had gone to file a claim they evaluated it at $1.50 per pound of the damaged item. Seeing as how its a flat panel it only weighs about 58 pounds giving me a grand total of 87 dollars back for the damage... On their website, clicking the tiny claims link at the very bottom of the footer on the page, under "What about small, but valuable items", it says "Even with additional valuation coverage, items with a value greater than $100/pound, such as jewelry, coins, stamps, and other highly valuable items, must be individually identified and their value declared before you move. Be sure to ask your mover about these items, because without identification, even with additional valuation coverage, such items included in your household goods shipment are limited to a maximum value of $100/pound." While I understand that a 58 pound television is not generally considered "small". I think it would be generally considered as a higher value item. Hopefully this situation gets rectified soon, but I doubt it. read more

Great service!! 3 men arrived early (that in itself is a novelty) - they were very courteous and took great care with our items. They worked without a break and completed the job earlier than estimated. Due to the quick work, the final cost was less than the estimate. Highly recommend them!! read more

They arrived at the end of their window, missed their estimate for a 3BR by nearly 6 hours and were just shoving things into boxes that I provided as they had run out. This is *after* I'd already packed and moved a substantial amount. The movers wanted to quit in advance of completion, and I had to remind them that the proposed time was simply an estimate. They did not wrap items that I requested to wrap, stacked items on expensive furniture, and literally stacked itemns haphazardly on top one another (e.g. sofa cushions wedged between chairs and an easel and a chair on top of this; an expensive lamp pressed against the storage building by other furniture). They failed to remove the couch from a tight fitting door and refused to attempt my suggestions (which was the way the couch made it in originally), saying "We're the professionals." A move that was to be completed by 5PM-ish was not completed until nearly 9PM. The damage was minimal, but the stress was such that I could never recommend this company. read more

We had an excellent experience with Two Men and a Truck. They moved us from Indy to Bloomington, and it went incredibly smoothly. The movers that came to the house were very punctual, clean, and nice and they worked very hard. They worked so hard it made me feel a little guilty to sit and watch. They quoted us the best price of the companies we checked, and it was very reasonable. I will never move my own stuff again. read more

My wife and I are very pleased with our experience using Two Men And A Truck! The guys (3 of them) were exceptional and worked very fast! We are going to be showing our house and there are no damages to speak of which of course is a great thing. The team arrived and worked very hard. Kyle the team lead was very good at instructing the men. It was obvious they were trained on how to treat customers and belongings. Kyle started by asking what items would be going where because we had a storage stop before our new apt. Everything was wrapped in shipping blankets and then wrapped in shrink wrap on top of that. Overall more than I expected and a great experience! I would definitely recommend this company and am also hiring Two Men And A Truck to move the things out of storage in few months.
