This is a hit or miss location. I thought it was a good place but they are missing the mark on the walk-in service. Don't rely on just walking in because that won't happen. I went in at 4:50 and they wouldn't even try to fit me in. They told me to go back at 9pm! They don't have enough people working there. The times I have gone there and got in, they did ok for my cut but not amazing. Seems they like don't even attempt to get to know you. There were a couple girls there that have cut my hair before and they don't even remember who I am. Just seems like not a great place to walk in. Make an appointment I guess. It really sucks trying to find an actual good stylist that is reliable AND actually wants to get to know their clients. Too bad. Time to find another place. read more

It's just Meh. In n Out in 5 minutes tops. After the haircut, there was hair all over my face and inside my shirt. No effort to avoid hair falling around or brush it off, at least from the face? I don't bite, eh. The left side and the right side isn't cut the same way. Makes me look wonky. I went there coz it's closer to work and so I can save on time, but NOT GOING BACK. read more

The short haired, 30ish girl that "greeted" me when I entered (more of a "yeah, what do you want") was incredubly rude. I came in more than an hour before their close for an eyebrow wax (only) and when I explained that to her she coldly said "there's no openings" I shook my head and asked for clarification "it's not even 8, you close at 9, right?" She proceeded to get an attitude with me and snipped at me in front of customers that there was only 2 girls. I saw 4. No apology, no suggestion to come back tomorrow just rolled her eyes and turned her back. Very rude. I've gone here for over a year once a month and won't be back because of her! read more

This is a VERY busy salon with great stylists! I have a graduated sort of a-line bob haircut + natural curl (not the easiest haircut) and Krista did a great job! My shampoo cut and style was less than $30 with tip. Great value. Don't assume that going to an expensive salon is always going to get you a more experienced or talented stylist. If you choose a lower price point in that type of salon it could mean they are a new stylist. Krista at Master cuts has been a stylist for over 6 years. At a high end salon she would likely be over $50. If you are looking for a way to open up some room in your budget I highly recommend this salon! read more

We decided to make a walk-in appointment at this salon. The wait time they gave us (25 min) was way off. We wandered the mall and kept coming back every 20 minutes or so and they kept telling us it would be another 20 minutes. The stylist actually did a great job cutting my daughter's hair and we will go back to her. With an appointment this time. read more

I walked in for a haircut and I was lucky enough to get the manager, Corinne, as my stylist. Everyone there seemed extremely friendly and the energy of the salon was excellent. After evaluating my hair my stylist recommended a deep conditioning treatment. I agreed , My hair is very dry and damaged. I am very happy I did this because my hair feels so much better. I was very happy with my haircut as well. Corinne listened to me and did not cut off too much hair. That is a big deal because I have had that happen before where I said half an inch and they cut off 2 inches. I will definitely be back to the salon and see Corinne again. I am also sending in my son and my husband to see her. read more

The price is right! I've been to this salon twice. The first time, Serena cut my hair. I showed her the picture of what I wanted. She did a pretty good job. The second time I went I saw someone different. Don't recall her name. I showed her the same picture I showed Serena the time before. She went right to work after asking a couple questions. I was pretty happy when I left the salon. Got home and noticed many places she failed to cut. It also looked like parts of my hair were butchered. I was so happy with the price, but I guess it's back to the expensive haircuts for me. read more

I booked a color appointment here by accident (a friend had recommended I go to Regis in the mall, which is actually downstairs and I mistakenly thought she meant MasterCuts, which is owned by Regis. The Regis salon itself doesn't show up in the mall directory online, for some reason. The stylist was already at work on my hair before I realized the mistake, so I decided to take a chance. She was friendly and certainly competent, but she failed to understand directions that I thought were very clear. I'm a dark brunette and I clearly said I wanted to touch up the blondish-caramel highlights I had, and did not want any red tones. I also wanted the highlights to be chunky - bold streaks, not blended highlights. I showed her a photo as an example. During the process, there was little communication about what exactly she was doing and it wasn't until she was drying my hair that I saw the results: I was disappointed to see my hair with reddish, blended highlights - the exact opposite of what I wanted. I told her I wasn't happy and her suggestion was that I live with it for a few days to see how the highlights settled in. But, soon after leaving, I knew I definitely needed it redone. I went back and the stylist offered to see me again in a few days, but that didn't work for my schedule. When I pressed her for another option (I was hoping someone else in the salon would redo the job), she offered to refund the cost of the color - $70. That was fine, but I was surprised that she wasn't more apologetic about not understanding my instructions. Instead, she tried to defend the work by saying she was thought her way was prettier. It was the attitude about the mistake that left me soured on this place. read more

The staff really needs to improve their customer service and communication. Three times I have tried to do a walk-in appointment and it has always been much longer than they said. This last time they told me it would be 15 minutes or maybe less and wrote my name down. I was standing out in the hall when a teenager walked in who they took before me. Then when I went back in they told me they could no longer do walk-ins and I could make an appointment for two hours later. When I protested the receptionist shrugged and said they were really under staffed.My main complaint is that if they can't do a walk in, just say so. And if you take my name down and give me a time frame, you should honor that. I won't be going there again. Went elsewhere in the mall and got an excellent cut and excellent customer service. read more

The staff at Mastercuts would need to improve their body language and the way they talk to their customers if they need any business. I went in to inquire about deep conditioning treatment. I got no acknowledgement for my 'hi', I got no response when I smiled...all I got was a stare. I got a curt reply when I asked about the deep conditioning treatment. I didn't feel like getting anything done from there and walked out. I had got a haircut done from them previously, but didn't like it much. But atleast the stylist was friendly. Thought I would give them another shot but I am done with Mastercuts. Will not visit them again. read more

I had a pretty bad experiance with this place. I went with my wife she needed her eyebrows to be done. The lady a the counter told us need to wait for 20 minutes. They made us wait for 1 hour. They keep saying that she is next and kept taking customers who registered in front of us.... It was very pathetic way of saying we dont have time for you.... I had been to this salon once before and did not particularly like my haircut. Which is why I have not been back for a long time. I, however, recently saw their ad on TV so I thought I will give them another try. Big mistake. I called late one afternoon to schedule an appointment. Although their ad stated that you can book your appointment online it is however, not true. That is why I ended up calling. When I informed the person who took my call that i need to make an appointment, she told me to just walk in, no appointment necessary. I arrived at the salon around 7:30 PM, one and a half hours before they were supposed to close. The hair dresser who also stood as the receptionist asked me what I needed and told her that I just need a haircut. She told me that they were NOT entertaining any more walk-ins as they were busy. There were only 2 hair dressers at that time who were each attending to a customer, one customer was a lady and the other customer was a guy. There was another male customer who I assumed was also waiting to get a haircut. The hair dresser told me that she does not know how long it will take them to get done with the other customers. How long does it take to cut guy's hair. An hour? My hair is longer that an average guy and it doesn't take half an hour to cut my hair. When I told her that if they were busy, they should have not told me to just walk in when I called and then I would not have driven 25 minutes to get to their salon. The hair dresser just smirked and said they can't do my hair. I went to another hair salon nearby, got a shampoo,a hair cut a and a blow dry and I was done in 40 minutes, which included the 10 minute wait time. Out of curiosity, I decided to go back to Mastercuts to see if they were really busy. It was around 8:35 PM by then and what do you know, one guy just walked-in and he of course was not turned away. When I asked the other hair dresser why they were entertaining walk-ins after I was told that they were not earlier, her response was, "I don't know, he just sat there." At least she was nice enough to apologize for her co-worker's lie. read more

Ugh. I knew the minute I saw Caroline I should have just ran away. From the rapid chewing of her gum to her bored look, you could tell she doesn't give a shit about you or your haircut. I'm a guy and i'm not looking for much. Just take your time and go slow, so you don't mess up. Well literally I was in and out within 7 minutes. Definitely the shortest and worst haircut I have ever gotten. She would ask me questions in the most bored and uninterested way, making me feel stupid for even entertaining her. She would ask a question and just not follow up. Way to make your customer feel stupid, answering you and just getting a "oh cool" or "okay". After literally 5 minutes she says she's done? How come every other haircut i've gotten in my life takes 15 minutes, yet somehow you managed to fuck up in 5 minutes. It looked like crap, I specifically told her up front to blend it nicely and she didn't. Even when I voiced my concerns that I didn't like it, she just said she couldn't do anything. She just stared at me with that stupid, empty headed look of hers like a dog would look at you for a treat. Fuck you Caroline, you saw I was relatively young and decided to rush it so you could get it over with and get some quick cash. I wish I could have refused paying you, because this has quite literally been the worst haircut of my life (and I lived in London and went to extremely sketchy barber shops who did much better jobs than you for half the damn price). Shame on you, I hope you never get tipped and get fired for using and abusing customers. read more
