The service department is garbage, lack common sense, and respect. Especially a service technician named... Aaron Singh.... or whatever he is there. My father (73 Y/O) who had a Buick Encore scheduled an appointment for an oil change on his transmission. Initially they said no problem, gave him a quote, and scheduled a date. Mataga tried driving up the price twice on changing his transmission oil (trying to take advantage of an elderly man). My dad said he would only agree to come in if the initial price they had agreed upon was respected. Anyways, my dad dropped off his Buick on a Saturday morning for the service. 20-25 min went by, and my dad was called at home to come pick up his vehicle because they were NOT able to change his transmission oil. Imagine buying a car from the dealership, then the dealerships service department themselves lack the knowledge to even service the vehicles they sell there?? They told my dad to come pick up his vehicle, made an elderly man walk a mile in the cold to come pick up his vehicle that was not even serviced. I'm sure that due to the fact my father did not agree with the price increase, the service department had probably decided that it was not worth the time to change his transmission oil for the price agreed upon initially. When my family had tried calling in order to see what the reasoning was behind this action, they refused to acknowledge the poor customer service. My father picked up his car and went to a local mechanic shop which did it for a less amount than the dealership. I wouldn't trust this dealership (Mataga) and would definitely drive the extra time it takes to go to another dealership that services Buicks/Cadillacs/GMC Vehicles. read more

Here I am back again because this place of business has HORRIBLE customer service. I decided not to service my Escalade at Mataga anymore because of a past situation. I have been trying to get someone from Mataga to send a simple email to the company that hosts my maintenance package so that I can get my car serviced at a different dealership. I have called multiple times, talked to multiple people, and chatted with someone via their chat system. It has been over a week and Mataga still has not sent the email to have my maintenance package released. I provided the email address and the details of what the email needs to say. How hard could it be to send one simple email? When I first purchased the vehicle I was told I could use the maintenance package at ANY Cadillac dealership. If I would have known it would be this difficult to have my car serviced somewhere else I would not have purchased it. read more

After spending the last two and a half weeks, and speaking with 5 other dealerships ranging from Sacramento to San Fransisco, I finally came across Ken and Armando. Ken was the first person to finally show effort in getting me the trade in value that was being shown by KBB and Edmonds, where the other dealerships were lowballing me by $3-4k. I've purchased 8 other vehicles in my life and this was the first time it didn't feel like it was the old, dog'n'pony show where they pretend to be your friend until you drive off the lot. On August 8th, 2023, I purchased a 2017 Chevy Impala. The Sale's team: Ken, Billy, Jawid, and Armando were all fantastic, professional, attentive, and informative. Me and my husband test drove the car and it drove good. Shortly after driving it home, we felt a problem with our newly purchased vehicle. On August 10th, my husband took the car back to the dealership's Service Department to inform them of the problem we were having.  The car was checked in to be serviced, and my husband was dropped off at home by the service department staff. We were told we would be called to be updated/informed on the status of our car later on that day(August 10th). No one called us on August 10th or August 11th with any kind of updates. On Monday, August 14th, my husband called to check on the car and he was told that parts had been ordered and are on there way; that the car will be ready by Wednesday, August 16th, 2023, and that someone would call us. I called to check the status as well as my husband; at different times and both; me and my husband were told different things regarding the parts ordered for the vehicle, when the parts were expected, and about calling around to different dealerships to try to locate parts quicker. We were both told we would get a call before the end of their business day. Again, no one called us giving us any updates on the status of our car.  On Thursday, August 17th, I called the service, again and was told that they were still waiting on the parts we were told had been delivered on the previous day.  On Thursday, August 17th @ 11:37am, I received a call from the Service Director Oscar. Who was very apologetic about the service we had received and stated he was going to find out the status of our vehicle and he himself would call me with an update.  By the end of my work day(4:30pm) on August 17th, I still had not received a call back from anyone at the service department, so we went to the dealership's Service Department and spoke with Oscar and asked for a loaner vehicle (which was never offered to us). We were given a loaner vehicle along with phone call promises, again..that never happened. On Tuesday, August 22nd I received a call(finally) that our vehicle would be ready after 1pm.  I'm very disappointed and unpleased with my entire Service Department experience with my 2017 Chevy Impala. Their follow up with customers needs great improvement. Their overall customer service needs great improvement. We(the customers) should not have to ask for a loaner vehicle 7 days after our car had been in the shop; the loaner should have been offered. Our car was in the service department longer than we have had it in our possession. read more

Only leaving 5 stars because Alex and his 2 sales managers made this experience easy and stress free. We went and bought a used 17 suburban and not once did I feel like they were forcing me inside or pushing me into rushing. They both were very professional and gave us our space when looking and test driving. Upon the day we went into purchase the hospitality was the best out of all the car dealerships I've been to. Any issues we had they were so quick to resolve them. They even gave my mom and I gift backs with some Cadillac goodies in it. After purchase we were having some issues with the bank and yet again they both solved it within a day. They never ghosted us and to this day still check in from time to time. Never coming back. I would rather drive out of town to another GM dealer. The service department is beyond unprofessional. I have worked in customer service/ management for over 10 years, so I know how a customer should expect to get treated. Don't schedule service online through their website cause they say that those prices quoted are not correct that they set their own pricing. But both Mataga and GMC websites show the same pricing. They wont honor it. Online pricing shows $99.95 but when you come they say $139.95. Also don't book an appointment online through their scheduling tool cause they will tell you that that isn't accurate either. So bottom line I would not recommend this service department unless you don't mind unfriendly staff , waiting 2 hours for a simple oil change, and spending more money then you planned on. read more

We saw a 2009 Honda Civic LX. We went to see it, we drove it me and wife liked it we have always been loyal Honda Family. For the year and the miles we couldnt pass up the Price. We went in Ken Odoko helped us with the Civic, mind you its a Buick Cadillac Dealership Ken said let me check on the Civic. This dealership is terrible! They post vehicles online before they pass their inspection to see if they will sell them. They have you come in to check out the vehicle, and then when you get there, they go "Oh we are sorry, the vehicle you are looking for didn't pass inspection. So instead we have this vehicle for you to look at". I hate the bait and switch they do. The sales manager tried to have me purchase another truck before they even inspected it and said "If it doesn't pass, then we will just cancel the contract". This place is a joke! My husband and I have been long time customers of Buick, GMC (more than 30 years) and continue to return to Mataga for all of our vehicles. We had the pleasant experience of working with Moe this time whom was "not pushy" (the main reason we shop for our vehicles there) and was very friendly, pleasant and professional to work with. Although extremely pleasant and professional he's a no-nonsense personality that gets the job done per your request. For example: he will look into other finance companies should you wish to finance through someone other than GMC. He is happy to serve whatever your preference may be. We have therefore purchased yet another Buick from this location and will return in the future for our next vehicle. Purchased a car last week, somewhat unplanned, and had a positive experience. The three gentlemen we interacted with did a great job communicating with us in a personable way, and without being "salesy". The new salesperson, Alex was incredibly enthusiastic, straight-forward, and helpful. Other team members, David and Sales Manager Armando, were reasonable, and helped us get a great deal. The car itself is incredibly clean, and a smooth drive. Regardless, they printed out a detailed maintenance report to make it easy to manage future service requests. I will have to fix an automatic window button issue, however it's still way more cost-effective considering the long-term value I'll receive. Because we paid upfront the buying process was relatively fast and painless. Overall I'd say the value you get in choosing this dealership over another is engrained in the customer service and sincere eagerness of the team to make sure you are happy when you leave the dealership. That was fixed once before at your dealership. The part is an official G.M part (note it is made in China, cheap and flimsily looking don't you think) I had my local auto repair shop Argonaut Automotive in Jackson, CA. fix it. since GM and Mataga would not stand behind their work or products. I was first on the telephone to GM in the Philippines on November 26. Than I was jerked off by Jasmine (GM corporate customer assistance) for almost three weeks,when I could reach her her story kept changing ,I was told by Keven at GM corporate (Jasmines supervision) in Michigan to basically get lost . I did not have a legal leg to stand on to get GM to honor the defective part . Also Keven suggested for me not to waste my time escalating this matter up to the General Manager of the Customer Satifiaction department. Matage if it was smart would have meet me half way on the repair,as I told Sarah that I was also going to get more work done and at retail repair pricing not GM warranty. I had to take my car in for repairs in the month of April 2023 and it was there for a little over a week do to parks. Ozzy kept me posted by text or call on everything that was going on so I never felt in the dark of what was going on. Every time I called or text to ask Ozzy any questions he responded pretty quick. My electrica problems were solved and I'm back on the road. I have driven a Cadillac since 2012 and I would refer everyone to Mataga Cadillac. My 2014 cadillac CTS, Had stopped moving so I did it insurance claim, This place tried to say that my axle was broken and I needed seals as well which would of costed 3800 , and tried to claim my extended warranty would not cover the cost of 3800, when Inspected by another mechanic that has 20 plus years of experience Had said my axle was not broken. In fact, the bolts came out and I did not need seals as well as learning I needed a new rear left lower control arm which was not to my knowledge from this dealership. SCAM! UNPROFESSIONAL. Had a good experience with them. We had been attempting to get a new custom ordered Yukon XL Denali from Sanger GMC but had a terrible experience. Waited for a year and had issues reaching Ceaser there. None the less when we had ordered from Sanger they called us and said my wife's Yukon was on its way and would arrive in 14 days. She was excited and we sold out old 2007 Escalade ESV on day 10 for more than we were offered by Sanger. Why not right put a little extra in the pocket. Well day 14 came and we called and no responses from Sanger GMC. Went over to be told that in fact it wasn't our Yukon and ours wasn't coming anytime soon. Say the least we were pissed. Flash forward a year and we realized just to buy a used one which was hard to do too. Found a Escalade ESV 2018 at Mantaga and set up an appointment. The salesman who was to meet us was a no show but the rest of the team including the manager stepped up and helped us all the way. Worked out a very fair deal actually low side ok KBB and didn't try to price hike or take advantage due to limited supply. Now wife is happy and we have the car that she can keep for awhile again. Best car buying experience I have ever had. I had found a beautiful Jeep Grand Cherokee eco diesel in my price range on their website! I contacted the dealership to set up a test drive and look at it! Doing this got me in contact with David , the online sales manager. We set up a day/time and when he arrived he has it all ready for me too test drive. We went and drove around made Norah conversation, talked about the car a little and the possibility of trading my car in. Not once did he ever pressure me and didn't try to low ball me on my car for the trade in! I had a pr so the buying was easy and when I went in the sign papers they even lowered the price of the car so the could throw in a 2 year power terrain warranty and gap insurance (without even having to ask me). David made this whole process easy for me and when he even noticed a Knick in the wall of one of the tires he had it fixed for me before taking it off the lot! Thanks again Mataga and David! Don't waste your time here they could careless about customer service. Walked in with my father in law to order a new truck. Waited 20 mins for someone to help while the salesmens stood in the managers office right in front of us talking about the upcoming weekend. Then an I'll dressed salesmens with wrinkled and stained suit, attempted to help. Worst dealership ever!! My husband inquired about buying a truck and had 13,000 to put down. The truck sticker price was 60,599 plus tax and interest.they said that due to Covid and low stock they would have to adjust the price of the car to over 70,000. They said it's a "market adjustment".
