We had to pay for an inspection and noticed another couple wasn't even charged for their inspection and then was told we'd get a call or message when our parts came in a week went by with no response until I had to call them myself to ask and the guy who picked up told me it was already here. He was also dry with the response. We had an appointment in the early morning just for our car to be the very last one to be worked on! While everyone else who came in later than us had left already with their car fixed and inspected we had been the last one and waited hours. And then was told again that we had other issues to fix our car when those issues weren't even told when we had our inspection with this place the day we ordered our parts. The workers are amazing! I have been going here forever. I am a female and the notion that women are taken advantage often at shops does not apply here. Gene, Curtis, and Nick in service are great. Tony, is the technician that usually works on my car has been spot on. John, in parts has always been great with helping me get the random stuff I want for my car like the trunk cover and rack. Finally, Steve and his sales teams are always so friendly and helpful when I need to be entertained in possibly trading in my car but I just don't want a car payment yet. Recently, I scheduled an appointment for my car to go in because of a popping sound in my tire area and my emergency break was making a funny squeaking noise. Tony diagnosed my car and fixed it sooner than I thought. Omgoodness, without his expertise and thoroughness I would have been driving without a nut. Prior to figuring out the issue, Gene called me to say they couldn't replicate the sound. I'm so glad he did not brush off what I was saying. I told him there is something wrong, I know it. Let me be honest, most places would tell me nothing is wrong but they trusted me and checked again. They found the problem. The weird popping sound was a nut missing in my stabilizer. I went to Acura of Stockton with a new(less than a month old 660 miles) Acura ZDX. The code failed to charge and showed an error message on the dashboard. I spoke to a service rep and asked if theycould diagnose the error. The response I received was shocking and nothing I expected. I was told to take my Acura to anther dealer or wait until after I owned the car for 30 days before they would look into the error code. The service manager was in the service office a few feet away and took no action, as if this is the level of customer service that is the standard at Acura of Stockton. I proceeded toleave and asked somone else to speak to the dealer's general manager. It was at this point, the service manager began to help. The service department took my info and after 3+ hours of waiting, the service rep came up to me with an explanation that there might be a charging, inverter or cpu issue. They had cleared tge error message and proclaimed the problem wS resolved. Move ahead 3 days and the same error code is displayed on the dash. So much for a successful repair and a complete waste of time. Now I know to avoid Acura of Stockton at all costs if I want a minimal effort to make repairs or receive a responsible level of customer service. read more

I had a recall on my ILX drive shaft. I was in Stockton for work and made an appointment to have this dealer do the work. The original technician was great. Friendly, professional, etc. A week later I drove the car on the freeway and I noticed the front end shaking once I reached 70 mph. I called and made a follow up appointment, the same technician answered. He was kind, apologized for any inconvenience and said they would absolutely look at it and fix it, if they did anything wrong. I took my car back, a different technician greeted me and took my keys to get some information from the car. I watched him walk around the car, and come back into the office. He said there was damage to the passenger rim and "was I sure I didn't hit anything" because that could cause the car to shake on the freeway. I was certain that I had not hit anything or run over anything since they had done the recall inspection. The damage to the passenger rim had been there for over a year. He proceeded to tell me that this was likely not their fault, and sounded like I needed a balance and they would charge me to balance it. Before even inspecting the vehicle he had decided it was not their fault. I said that I would prefer they just look at what they did and make sure there were no issues. 15 minutes later he brought my keys back, said it wasn't anything they did but that they would balance it for $59. The technician was condescending. I watched him interact with a male client before me and he did not speak to that man in the same manner. What should have been a simple recall ended up costing me several hours and 2 trips. I understand that people hit things and lie. I did not. Frankly, if he had not already decided it was not their fault before even inspecting the vehicle I would have been more understanding. But to decide it was not their fault before looking at it made this feel like a sham. The second part of the experience was enormously frustrating. I will never have any work done here again. read more

DO NOT COME HERE is all I have to say if you are looking to get a new car.. you will save yourself a headache and many future problems. Apparently they give cars out without an approval all the time according to their GSM Steve and will ask you to return the car 30 days later without sending you a 10 day notice. Review for the Sales Department. Was looking for a 2019 RDX. All wheel drive. Tech package and must be white. The search started in Jan 2019. Due to the new vehicle. They wouldn't budge on the price. Waited until April 2019 and finally came to a price we could agree on. I was working with a guy name Jose. We text and emailed. Agreed on a price. Right color and made an appointment. I was driving from Elk Grove. So it took 35 mins to get there. Got there. Inspected the car. Test drove the car. Said I'll take it and then the problems started. Jose said I forgot to let you know I have to remove the splash guards, wheel lock and the all weather mats before we sign papers. Like WTF???? Told Jose that we agreed on a price. You allowed me to test drive a car I thought I was buying and now you want to take stuff off the car? What's the reason with making an appointment when you didn't have the car I want ready? Thought this was the car I was purchasing as it is? Trying to pull a fast one. I said no and proceeded to leave. Can't give business to shady dealerships. This is for the service department. Brought my new car for maintenance. We paid 108 for the service. We were told by Acura dealership that oil change will be free up to certain miles or something like that. Anyway we still paid. We got our car back with a huge scratch in the back. They didn't take responsibility for the damage they caused. They kept asking us to bring the car back so they can check it while one of the service guys already took a picture if it. My insurance company paid for the repair and luckily I only had a low out of pocket expense. This place is not a good place to have your car service. Bad business. read more

When you get a new car it's supposed to be all nice and shiny and clean and I got the opposite. When I asked them to detail it all they did was take it to the back and put it through the wash and gave it right back to me. I asked the guy to spray the tires on so It can be shiny, all he did was spray and just left. As you can see in the picture. So unprofessional and what a slap in the face. We were on vacation, driving to San Francisco when we heard a loud bang and the check engine light came on. We were on the cross town freeway near Stockton. We drove to Acura of Stockton. My MDX lost a spark plug and the engine was damaged. Acura of Stockton worked with American Honda and made all necessary repairs. They supplied us with a loaner so we could continue our vacation. My MDX is running again. The service writer (Jeff C.) kept me very well informed during the month long repairs. He was very accommodating when I would call or text him. The service manager Mark R. was able to get American Honda to cover much of the cost of my repairs. I live about 2 hours away from Stockton. I wished I lived closer so I could get my MDX serviced at Acura of Stockton. I highly recommend the service department for servicing your Honda or Acura vehicle. read more

I purchased a TLX with the extended warranty and maintenance service options. The customer service stopped after I bought the car. All I ask for is a response, a call or some help...something. May 18, 2018, I went to Acura of Stockton and Steve assisted me with the cancellation forms. Both forms were signed/dated on 05/18/18. Steve said it will be turned in first thing on Monday. July 6, 2018, I called Protective Asset Protection (extended warranty company) to check on the update of the cancellation and was told there was no cancellation documents that was sent in. "Nothing on record". I called Acura Care (maintenance service) and same thing. "No documents on file". The same Protective Asset Protection woman that assisted me instructed me to send the copy of the dated Extended Warranty Cancellation form to via email. I did. Also, on July, 6, 2018, at 1130 I called and asked for Steve to ask about the cancellation problem that occurred. I was told a message was left for him to call me back because he was on the phone. 1230PM...no call and he was in a meeting. I asked to leave a message for him to call at 3PM due to work. 3PM came by, 4PM came by and still no phone call. I went to Acura of Stockton afterwards, and of course, "he just stepped out. Fridays are busy". It does not take that much effort to call me, or have someone call me, to let me know something. On Monday, July 9 2018, I went to Acura of Stockton at 9AM on my day off to get this cancellation situation done. I approached Steve and told him that both the extended warranty company and maintenance service company have not received any cancellation documents he told me the girls would send. He told me that on their (the dealership's) end, the cancellation paperwork is processing. I told Steve I called both companies and they both told me that there were no cancellation forms that was sent in or on record. Steve kept INSISTING the paperwork was processing on their end and they have the original documents if I wanted to see it and said "Mam, you have to be patient". I told him, "Steve, I've been patient for almost two months and when I called the companies, they said they don't have the paperwork. How is it processing? How can I be patient if they don't have the documents to process? Let me see the original documents". He retrieved the original documents and I proceeded to call the companies, so they can tell Steve themselves that there were no cancellation documents on record. Of course, once I got the extended warranty company on the line, he got busy and the company would not wait. However, I did get a confirmation from the extended warranty company that the paperwork that I emailed to them on July 6, 2018 was received and it will get processed. BECAUSE OF ME TAKING THE EXTRA STEP TO EMAIL. Once Steve was done on the phone, I asked him to wait with me while I get Acura Care on the phone. He waited. Once I got them on the phone, I put my phone on speaker, and I asked them clearly if they have my cancellation paperwork from Acura of Stockton. They said no, nothing on record. I asked them how long does it take to receive, and they said "If they fax, then today. Same with email". After the phone called, I asked Steve, "Do you believe it now?! Why do you keep saying it's processing?" I told him, "I trusted you to get this done, and you lied to me". He said, "Mam, how am I lying to you?" and he still insisted it shows it's processing on their (the dealership's end). I told him we both heard the phone call and that's when he deflected and said they process lots of paperwork and 1 tends to get missed. I said, "And it had to be me?" I told Steve, "Honestly, the customer service stopped after I bought the car. I wish I would've went to Acura of Elk Grove. Why do I have to come here on my day off to get this done? Why do I have to go out of my way to fax the paperwork when your employee was supposed to do it?" He finally apologized. I told him that the least he can do is fax the Acura Care cancellation document right now. He said, "I'll go do it right now and stand there and wait for the confirmation"...really? It takes that long and lots of effort to wait right? From no call backs, responses at all - to - my experience at the dealership dealing with the cancellation. I understand it's a business, but customer service is important too. I thought they're all about customer service? The hassle for me to go to the dealership, the hassle for me having to fax, the "tug and pull" with Steve and the cancellation issue on July 9, 2018. BY THE WAY, also on the same day, one of the sales rep asked me to move my car. I told him that I parked my car in the spot where it says "CUSTOMER PARKING"...why do I have to move? He said that they park the cars they are selling there. REALLY? WHY NOT REMOVE THE SIGN? He even said "if you don't want to move it, then I can move it for you". Oh really?! Everything I read on the internet told me otherwise. Basically they told me they did not have room to store my car. I I was told it would take months to get the part to repair it.
