Always friendly service! Clean relaxing atmosphere. I LOVE their mojitos and different coffees! Their desserts are heavenly! I just wish they had signs in front of the desserts and breads so you know what they are.

We went around 10am on a Saturday and wait was 15mins! Beautiful place! We got the Yemen hot latte with cardamon in it was a acquired taste not for us, I got the biscotti iced latte it was also okay and I think was a dark bitter taste. We also got the almond white chocolate cake which wasn't that great, and had the oreo milk cake was pretty good! The best desserts were the mango and cherry 3d fruit mousse! They really tasted so good and was heavy. The outside is a chocolate and inside is like a whipcream mousse with cake at bottom and jelly in middle. I would come back again for just those!! They were $12 each! I would like to come back and try the other cakes or yemen foods! Everything was so pretty and cozy vibes! They had free cups of water too! One bathroom stall. Everything was nice and detailed atmosphere! Friendly service!

Nice ambiance. Different array of coffee and tea drink choices. Unique desserts. Nice place to take friends and family. Hope they are able to sustain this in the future.

    Comfortable seating area

Service was fast, coffee was good and quiet atmosphere. Good selection of treats. Price range is comparable to others in the area.

The coffee is good, but the vibe is always weird. For a while they were selling monocle chocolate,…read moretheir own brand. Then they stopped. When I asked about it they said "we never sold chocolate, i don't know what you're talking about" (The chocolate was back today) Today it was asking about their canned coffee because the fridge was empty (they have a shandy coffee/lemonade that is killer) They looked at me like I was an alien for wanting to buy a product they've had in cans in the past. They assured me they still have it to make but don't have it in cans sell. When I asked if they knew when it would be back the barista was frustrated and repeated that they had it to make. Ok fine, but I'm driving an hour home and liked the cans? Just a weird thing like it's a pain in the ass that i know what products they have and am interested in them. The Huckleberry Sage latte was great, the Barista was great for suggesting it iced. I'd have it again. I'm just giving up on expecting clear answers about what they carry.

The girl behind the counter was friendly and polite and took my order. I ordered a hot mocha latte with macadamia milk. I gave her my name and she said they'd call me when it was ready. I found one of the few open seats, a low sitting leather chair that was quite comfortable tyvm, and did a little people watching until they called my name. There was now a small line to the order line and I was pretty convinced I had made a good choice in coming here. In a matter of minutes later my name was called and my drink was ready. My latte was very good and the mocha made it even better. If you're in the area be sure to drop in and check them out.

This was my first time trying out Kickabrew Coffee so I didn't know what to expect when I went inside. We had been outside for a while so I was looking forward to trying out a nice hot coffee! I got the white chocolate coffee and my husband got a hot cocoa. While we waited for our drinks we took a look around the coffee shop and I have to say, it's quite charming! I was not expecting the back room at all, not to mention all of the seating and the log cabin look that it had to offer either. It felt like the seating options were endless including couches and designer chairs. There's even an upstairs loft as well which is a great place to hang out with friends! It's so cute! A few moments later, they called out our drinks from the side window, it's located in the hallway leading to that cute log cabin looking back room. I think more places should have a side window by the way. It was nice to be able to step aside and not be in the way while other people are ordering. There were lots of people coming in and out so I think it's a popular spot in town, I don't blame them! Time to try out our drinks! They were great and we warmed right up! I would definitely go out of my way to come back and try this shop out again. I'd like a little more time to look at the menu and see what else they have to offer. I hear they have some yummy snacks so I'll have to try one of those next time! To the owner: great job on your coffee shop! It's super charming and I love it!

Review Visit: March 27th, 2018…read more Does The Spot Coffee hit the spot? The Spot Coffee started out as a mobile coffee truck, making rounds here and there, delivering caffeine to the residents of local central Illinois since 2016. Due to a growing fan base, they set up shop and opened in February 2018. On a dreary week day, my friend and I rolled in during lunch time to a fairly packed place. We were greeted promptly by a nice staff that took our orders and served up our drinks quickly. I ordered a hot Salted Caramel Latte and my friend ordered a cold Banana Bread Latte. This is the first time I've ever seen Salted Caramel offered and I must say, it was delightful. I'll need more if it in my life. My friend let me try her drink and it was also pretty good. The interior of The Spot Coffee is fairly small, so if you have a large party, plan ahead. If it is just you and a friend or two, they can accommodate you no problem. For being small, it didn't feel claustrophobic and it felt like it had a nice level of coziness to it. I give props to whoever designed the inside for doing great. They even have a spot to sit at and look out the windows while you sip a coffee on a cold and dreary day. A few other things offered here is a back room for kids. While my friend had her son with her, we didn't utilize it due to it being full. There is also a drive-thru if you are in a rush and you need that caffeine fix to go go go! They also have a small baked goods section. I didn't get anything this time but I will definitely try a cookie on my next visit. Other than that, there isn't much else to say about this lovely place. It definitely hit The Spot for me ;).

Ordered the chilaquiles and biggest flavor profile was salt. Wouldn't have been so bad if my water glass had been filled. Staff wouldn't make eye contact with us. People who had come in after us had their plates removed and checks given before us. We literally had to wave our arms in the air an hour and a half after being served before our next contact. The server then asked us if we wanted one to go box for 3 different half plates of food..... what???? The only reason I can take away for this service is there was 4 of us. 2 couples and my friends are elderly and he has a walker and needs accommodation to where he can sit. This is the coziest coffee spot in town and is surrounded by lots of cool places to eat, shop, and they often have live music at the plaza. It is on the expensive side, However the coffee has always been fairly priced per portion and it is a great place to eat too! They work out of a small house kitchen so be patient please! The downstairs has a large couched seating area and the wall murals are so timeless and comfortable. They have two patios, and they have two levels. I like to sit and read here or study here, and eventually grab some food, I don't know when the tower is open to the public, but they have a playground diagonally across under the heights tower, the cutest book stores, and eclectic shops, restaurants and bars all down this block. It's one of my favorite places in town and I recommend it it 100% Hopefully not to sound too petty but i read a shocking review that said this place is dirty, and that coffee is bitter? Uh....let me go ahead and squash that review, since it seems personal rather than productive. The house converted into shop is underneath trees, and has a butter yellow color so what may look dirty is not i assure you. I myself am a bit of a germaphobe and have never seen an unclean table sit for longer than a minute. I even seen them wipe down the sofas. They never mentioned WHAT was dirty either so i covered everything important. They also have a sugar and creamer, and flavor pump self dispensing table to the side of the counter so that everyone can have theirs to taste if they order a regular coffee regardless of the many flavor combinations and ways to prepare it listed on the board, from sweet, to kinda spicy in a delicious way in the mayan. I appreciate the taste of coffee not being smothered by sugar and flavoring. Coffee is by nature of the product...bitter. So if they do not like coffee being bitter, i love their chai drinks too and highly recommend them especially in fall, they often have an apple chai latte which i adore.
