Sometimes you stumble upon a place purely by accident and it ends up being the best surprise. That…read morewas me after finishing an early appointment near by. I found this spot online and headed over and Im glad I did. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the owners, husband and wife team who immediately made me feel welcome. They were eager to walk me through the menu, offered great suggestions, and were incredibly patient while my brain was still waking up at 9am lol. Their kindness and humor made me feel right at home. This place also feels homey. If you take a moment to look around, you'll notice the personal touches such as the artwork, photos, and thoughtful details that tell a story of their family. Okay Now to get to the good stuff the drinks and bites are stellar, here's what I got: I finally found a seriously addicting chai here in the 805. I'm very picky about chai, so when Robin insisted "you're trying this" so I listened and I'm so glad I did haha. Freshly brewed, no artificial flavors, perfectly spiced. I think I would dub this one of the BEST chai's I've ever had. 10/10. Their classic breakfast bites hit the spot too. I had a breakfast sandwich with crispy bacon and a fresh egg. Simple but good. I'd get this again but also would be open to trying some of their other bites. 8/10. The handmade bakery section here was unreal. The apple pastry I ordered was pure nostalgia and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more of their daily baked goods. The selection was huge and lots of different options to try. I think their passionfruit pastry will be calling my name next time. Lastly I leave you with a Fun fact: if you're a football fan or into chess, this is your cafe. Chess tables are available for playing at and it's the perfect morning spot to catch matches over coffee and pastries. Liverpool fans especially welcome here ;) Sorry it took me so long to find this spot but they've got a new fan now!

They got a variety of ice creams, some common ones but also some new ones. This is the first place I ever had a chance to try the espresso ice cream, which is ice cream with a shot of espresso, and it was delicious, especially as a coffee lover and ice cream lover. Kids devoured all their ice cream, which is rare for them to do. They also serve food here, which we did not get to try but is good to know is an option. They have tables everywhere and a fountain machine and some unique teas I got to try, like their lavender tea! This was beautiful and so amazing. I can't wait to come back and grab another ice cream espresso from here and maybe try one of their sandwiches. Yum!

Hey, I'm a Dad and Dad jokes are what we Dads do best! Alright enough shenanigans. I'm going to attempt something different here. I am going to write this review using common COW IDIOMS. Wait! You don't know what a Cow is?? Well, It's a four-legged mammal from the Bovidae Family, also known as Cattle. They can produce milk and are the Main source of Beef. Fun Fact: Some eateries even using "cows" as their Mascot. Oh, you weren't talking about the Cow, you wanted to know what an Idiom was... my Bad lol. Well, An Idiom is "a group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words." Thank You Google for that definition! And after reading what an Idiom was, apparently I didn't know what it actually meant either... haha Anywho... Let's "Take this Bull by the Horns" and get this review of Little Calf Creamery and Cafe on the road. Without a doubt, The "Cash Cow" to this little local establishment is probably not the CAFE part, but my guess, it's the CREAMERY half of the business. I mean, who doesn't Love Ice Cream??? Scoops, Sundaes, & Sandwiches all loaded with your favorite creamy dessert?? Yes, Please!! And trust me, every time I come here with my kids, They are "Like a Bull at a Gate" trying to get to the front of the line to place their order for their favorite flavor of Ice Cream. My first thought, slow your roll kids. Dinner first, then we can discuss Dessert. Fast forward to when we get our food.... Some of what I'm about to say is TRUE, but the rest may or may not be "Bull$h1t" that I just made up.... Kid #1 (the oldest): "Daddy, they put ketchup on my hamburger; I didn't want ketchup" Me: "Here's a napkin, just wipe it off" Kid #2 (the middle child): "Daddy, I'm full" Me: "Take 2 more bites please." 8 seconds later.... Kid #2: "Can we get Ice Cream now?" Me: I thought you were full. Kid #2: I took my two bites, how bout that Ice Cream? Kid #2: One Daddy: Zero Kid #3 (she's the baby): "Daddy, I pooped" Me: (to my wife) "hey Babe, I love you...." My Wife: (without skipping a beat) "Diapers are in the car" Me: Yes, dear (lol) Well that's settles that. And I know what you are all thinking... "Holy Cow!" That was close one! Hey, I'm not ready to "Buy the Farm" over no diaper change... I haven't even had my Ice Cream yet. ;) Ok, ok I know it feels like you have been waiting "until the cows come home" for my opinion of this place on whether or not it's worthy of a visit. Hey! No need to "Have a Cow", cause here it is.... Little Calf Creamery and Cafe is a fun little local shop in Thousand Oaks that serves up delicious Ice Cream with some familiar flavors and also some flavors that will spark your interest... -Moorpark Road (their take on Rocky Road) -Roasted Coffee!! -Witches Brew...Spooky!! In addition to their Ice Cream, they've got lunch and dinner covered so you can take a break from the kitchen... And doing the dishes for that matter! Last visit, the favorite food item rated by the kids and by me.... Their Kids menu Chicken Tenders and Fry Basket! All I can say.... "Holy Cow"... We are definitely coming back for more of those bad boys. Until Next time... There is "No Cow On Ice" Cause Little Calf in T.O. has got everything under control.

It's a small, charming café with a cozy atmosphere, featuring old-school car collectibles displayed on a shelf that add a unique touch. The service was great as well, they were friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. suggested I definitely I ended up picking up a chocolate and hazelnut cake with an incredibly soft, spongy interior that was perfectly balanced and rich without being overwhelming. I also grabbed a single serving of the blueberry cheesecake, which was light, airy, and still decadently satisfying--definitely worth every spoonful. The rum babas were a standout: bite-sized, soaked in Jamaican rum, filled with Chantilly cream, and topped with a raspberry. So flavorful and unique--each bite was indulgent without being too heavy. And then there was the Velina cake... oh my goodness. A beautiful sponge layered with chocolate mousse and hazelnut mousse, all covered in a glossy dark chocolate glaze. It was so rich and decadent that I had to slow myself down just to fully enjoy every bite. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and worth the drive. I'd absolutely come back again.

We were greeted right away, and we let one of the people working there know we wanted to take a look around as it was our first time stopping in, which was okay. The shop itself was empty. We took a look at the ice cream selection, the full cakes, and then the pastries. Everything looked really good. We decided on a chocolate trilogia pastry and a red velvet pastry to go. The transaction went well. When we got home, we ate the goodies. The trilogia was fresh and had great flavor. The red velvet, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The cake part was dry, and the frosting was dense and had little flavor. Maybe I just ended up getting an older one, but at $8.25, I had expected a much better item. The service was great, but as a red velvet lover, the flavor was not as expected. I would potentially try again but would sample some other treats.

Most places serve it in a paper cup where the espresso and gelato just blend into a mushy mess. Not here. Carrara's presents it beautifully on a stone tray, with a proper espresso cup and a transparent glass so you can actually see the layers of gelato and espresso. Bacio di Latte is incredible and I'm so happy we have one here in the 805. I've been here a few times and am long overdue to leave them a review. Everything about the spot is exceptional, from the cleanliness of the shop, to the stellar customer service and of course this is some of the best gelato I've had in the area. Kudos to Gabby, who helped me out today - she was absolutely lovely and attentive. But overall the staff have always been great here and aim to please. They are also very mindful to ask about allergies before you sample their gelato, which I'm sure a lot of people appreciate. As I mention above, the shop is super clean and cute. If you've been to Europe, it's totally giving that classic gelato café in Italy vibe. It's cozy and I like to dine in to enjoy my sweet treat. Great decor, it's evident a lot of thought and care came into designing the space. The gelato is exceptional and A+. A little pricey, but I think everywhere is nowadays. Every gelato flavor I've tried has been delicious, but what really impressed me was their vegan gelato. It is absolutely incredible. Unlike many vegan ice creams and gelatos that can have a noticeable aftertaste, Bacio di Latte's vegan options are rich, creamy, and full of flavor without any of the usual drawbacks. If I hadn't known it was vegan, I never would have guessed. Whether you're dairy free or not, I highly recommend giving their vegan gelato a try. Bacio di Latte has quickly become one of my favorite dessert spots, and I'll definitely be back.

I got a large Kauai smoothie and it isn't bad, coconut water, pineapple, strawberry, and banana in a large (24oz) and it tastes like crunchy coconut water. But for $13 I feel like it could've been a lot better. A friend got the morning blend smoothie bowl ($16.50) and an iced London Fog (6) but also didn't like any of it in the end.
