Stopped by on a week day morning, it was quiet inside. I ordered the Pretzel Croissants & a s'mores bar. The pretzel croissant was exactly what I wanted- salty, soft and flakey; a pretzel in croissant form. Wow.. don't skip the S'mores Bar. The chocolate layer is soft, with marshmallows still soft/fresh as if they just came out the bag. It's a perfect sweet treat pick me up without being overly sweet. Talk about taking care of their customers, Robyn Lee the Owner, you're a Rock Star and your employees are helpful and friendly too!!! This bakery in Thousand Oaks went out of the way to make sure my favorite cookies were available for me to pick up and enjoy!!! I absolutely love this bakery's Peanut Butter Cookies. In my opinion, they have set the bar on that and this is the standard I use for comparison. I'm visiting from NorCal and this is a must visit, so many delicious looking pastries, sandwiches and other choices to choose from and a great place for breakfast and lunch. A first time with their carrot cake and it was delicious. Highly recommend!!! FYI, the carrot cake was much better presented but I got hungry and started eating it and realized I didn't take a photo of it. So, what you see is what was left.

This place is truly one of a kind. Every time I walk into their bakery, I am welcomed and the atmosphere is so homie. My go to drink is there blueberry lavender matcha which is an absolute 10 out of 10. Most of the time I just like to go there because of how amazing the staff is and how welcoming the owners are. This place will forever be my go-to in TO.

I don't usually come to this area, so I came across this cafe. This cafe is small, but the service was excellent. The latte and Cinnamon croissant were good. The Cinnamon croissant is a croissant, so it might taste slightly different if you imagine a cinnamon roll. There are Inside and outside tables. Parking is in front of the cafe.

Pretty good coffee, really good food! Here's a picture of the savory sandwich we ordered and look at the size of that avocado! It's probably a little bit pricier, but it's good to see that they don't skimp out! Good ambiance inside too! Also, the owner talked me into ordering a Cubano instead of a Cortado and I think that was a very good move! It's basically a shot of espresso, but with sugar in the coffee grounds before the shot is pulled.

This review is long overdue. I went to this café several weeks ago and I'm going through my pictures now and I forgot to post my review. I must say a double chocolate muffin delicious. I think I found my new café to come and get those and the spinach kale croissant oh my God there's no words it's so good and the almond croissant the feeling is so good and sweet when you have a sweet tooth this is one thing that you must try also there lavender latte it was very good. It smells like lavender and something that one must try when coming here. The surface exuded an incredible quality that captivated the eye. The man exhibited an outstanding level of helpfulness, displaying not only kindness but also a warm and inviting demeanor that made me feel right at home.

Stayed the night for a concert and hit Historia Bakery Cafe for breakfast before heading back home. Everything about our visit was outstanding. We both had the Italian Croissant. Roasted tomatoes & pesto on a perfectly baked flaky croissant, topped with a poached egg. Fan-freakin'-tastic! Our mochas were hot creamy chocolatetly deliciousness. Super great owners. We'll definitely be back when passing though.

Slow service but its a genuine and kind interaction. A bit cold inside and an odd array of seating, but they do hold chess tournaments and a few of the tables are chess tables! Could use some musical ambiance as it was very quiet today. And the food? Fantastic, worth the wait, and delicious. Including pastries, sandwiches, and drinks! Their cheesecakes are to die for, you have to try them.

Great cute little spot for breakfast/ lunch! I came in with a friend and we really enjoyed the experience and service. I had the pretzel croissant sandwich and the bread was light and crispy and tasted great in a sandwich. I ordered the raspberry rose latte and I was unsure if I was going to enjoy it because of the raspberry flavor but I sure enough did. The latte was very much on the sweeter side but one of the workers was so sweet and asked if my drink was okay and if I needed to make any modifications and she helped make it to my taste. Overall had a wonderful experience and I can't wait to come back to try the delicious pastries.

In the world of Yelp.... If a place has an average of 4.6 stars all while steadily approaching almost 500 reviews... You know that establishment it's legit! Just know that they worked very hard to not only earn those stars, but to maintain that nearly 5 star rating which is damn near impossible to keep. Nowadays, everyone is so critical, everyone is so hard to please. One small thing goes wrong; their whole experience is tarnished. But for me... As a Yelp Elite of 7 years straight, I've come to really appreciate the mom & pop businesses out there and it gives me nothing, but pure pleasure to be able to write a positive, uplifting review that highlights everything they are doing right. My ability to rate a business, a café, or a small restaurant; especially a small mom and pop eatery and give them every single star they deserve is what I live for as a Yelp Elite. ------------------------------ With that being said... Historia Bakery & Cafe aka HB in Thousand Oaks is one of those hidden gems that deserves a little spotlighting. (Although looking at their star rating, they are doing just fine on their own) thus why they deserve yet another 5 star review! On November 20th 2023 the week of Thanksgiving, I had the day off, so it was the perfect reason to take the wife out to breakfast while the kiddos were in school. Sandwiched between Wescom Credit Union (which just happens to be my bank) and The Habit Burger Grill (which makes one mean Charbroiled burger)... Historia Bakery & Cafe serves up one a hell of a breakfast, a slew of satisfying-looking pastries and a few specialty lattes that will make you delete your Starbucks app forever! On the morning we went, a few people were already enjoying breakfast on the patio out front, as well as a few people in line ahead of us getting their morning coffee and pastry to go. For us, we were in no rush at all so we decided to have a nice, peaceful breakfast and absorb a little sunshine at one of their tables out front while we ate. As you can see from my picture attached to this review, we both went with their Croissant Breakfast sandwich (one with ham and one with sausage) as sadly, they were fresh out of bacon. (Sad face)... it's ok, next time!! Now, Let's talk about that croissant... OH. THAT. CROISSANT! Let's just say Historia Bakery & Cafe made the People of Paris... the People of France Proud!! Perfectly flaky, beautifully buttery, and boy did it just glisten in the sun. Paired with an egg, ooey gooey melted cheese, and a breakfast meat of your choosing; this breakfast will definitely start your morning off with a smile. We each got one of their specialty lattes, 1 raspberry rose latte & 1 blueberry lavender latte and they were the perfect compliment to our meal. While finishing up eating, the lady who helped us inside came by to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything else. To Historia Bakery & Cafe... A+ on the food, your hospitality and the wonderful service during our visit; here's to a successful 2024 ahead!

The one piece of sourdough toast with butter was a whopping $8+. It won't stop me going there I just won't order those food items again. I got a large Kauai smoothie and it isn't bad, coconut water, pineapple, strawberry, and banana in a large (24oz) and it tastes like crunchy coconut water. But for $13 I feel like it could've been a lot better. A friend got the morning blend smoothie bowl ($16.50) and an iced London Fog (6) but also didn't like any of it in the end. The pastries in the window looked so delicious too, but an almost $30 cafe visit is not in my budget as much as I hope it was. I love that they're so accommodating for different restrictions and life goals though, I have multiple friends who don't take seed oils, different milks, vegans, or gluten free and they have an option for literally everyone. Ordered the sausage breakfast burrito. The burrito was heavy on the breakfast potatoes, it took up more than half of the burrito. Unfortunately, the potatoes were all undercooked which made them CRUNCHY and unbearably BLAND. The amount of thin breakfast sausage slices inside was small relative to the entirety of the burrito. The scrambled eggs with cheese inside were very good! It came with a small cup of salsa which was excellent, unfortunately the cup was only half filled. It was not nearly enough as the burrito was so bland because of the large amount of undercooked potatoes. I could have easily used two or three cups of salsa to give it taste.
