I called and made an appointment at the beginning of June. My appointment was scheduled for the middle of July, a day before my appointment I received a voice mail that my appointment was cancelled because the operator made the appointment as an established patient and not a new patient. At this time everyone is booked for new patients until the end of October. I took off of work for this appointment and have been suffering perimenopausal symptoms and voiced my concerns when I made the appointment. How is this the patient's fault? I called to speak with someone and at the moment am still on hold and it's been over 30 mins. I would not recommend this place especially if you are needing to speak with staff, have your time valued and seek care in a reasonable time. I will take this a sign to go elsewhere!!!! read more

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Matlock OB/GYN. The front desk staff is highly unprofessional, and it is nearly impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. When you finally do get an appointment, you are forced to wait an excessive amount of time past your scheduled slot just to be seen. The care feels incredibly rushed, and the providers spend less than 10 minutes with you, completely dismissing questions and offering zero bedside manner. I do not recommend this clinic. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The staff is super unfriendly and the doctors are completely unprofessional and uncaring. Last year they didn't even tell me my original doctor had moved, until I called for my annual. Then they assigned me a random obygn I didn't know. This past 5 weeks I have been extremely sick, as in could have gone septic. I kept pressing on the office and trying to get them to understand it was an emergency. The doctor called me personally and told me to go somewhere else. That she wouldn't see me until my scheduled appointment in October. This was the first or second week of September. read more

I should've known better from the lack of professionalism exhibited during the call to confirm the appointment..The front desk receptionist was extremely rude and nasty. She had absolutely no empathy nor concern for me being late due to construction that is being done on the facility and is not reported on Google, me being on the phone 15 minutes with them. Nor that I had registered prior to in the office.She made me aware that because I was a first time patient I had no grace period I asked for other resources, she ignored me and offered me a reschedule appointment she made it blatantly clear if I did not want to reschedule the appointment I could leave out of they would see me under no exceptions that day. luckily the ladies in Suite 220 were generous enough to explain to me my insurance and make me aware of the county. Horrible customer service. Customer service is truly terrible. I was sent to the Arlington location for the first time instead of the Mansfield location. I was given an address that I googled to find them and then followed the directions out there. I anticipated being 15 min early for my appointment. But I couldn't spot their building where Google Maps said it would be. I drove around the area over and over again peering at the fronts of all the little medical offices right in that area trying to find them. THERE IS NO SIGNAGE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THEIR BUILDING visible from the streets anywhere that indicates they are located inside it. I tried calling to ask, what building they were in. OF COURSE, NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. No one every answers their phone. EVERY TIME I'VE HAD TO CALL THEM I'VE HAD TO WAIT ON HOLD OVER AN HOUR AND HALF. I finally decided I was desperate enough to go into Medical City Arlington's women's hospital and ask if they knew where the place was located. I parked in the parking garage and low and behold the unmarked office building next to the parking garage had a small sign by its door indicating they were inside. Facing away from the street, towards the physicians' only parking lot and blocked by construction. I go in and there are no signs or maps in the building indicating where to go. I find an electronic directory but all it gives is a suite number, which I already had. I figure the number is in the 200s it must be on the second floor. I go to the 2nd floor and there are no signs or anything indicating the presence of any doctors' offices, just a bunch on unmarked locked doors. I go back down to the first floor and look at the directory again trying to find an actual map. Find nothing but the suite number. Go back to 2nd floor and start wandering. Finally find it. Go in and am now about 15 min late instead of 15 min early. They cancel your appointment if you're 10 min late. No flexibility whatsoever. Not even in light of the fact that they have inadequate signage, or the fact that I tried to call for assistance finding the place when I couldn't spot them. Or in light of the fact that when they sent me to the Arlington location, knowing that I had never been there, they didn't bother to tell me they were in an unmarked office building on the second floor next to Medical City Arlington's parking garage and that the building is largely blocked by construction. No flexibility. No attempt to squeeze me in. No sympathy or compassion. Nothing but excuses about call volume and why they can't answer their phones in a timely manner. No phone call from them to me to see where I was before canceling the appointment. I was probably right outside their building driving past for the 10th time because they don't have signs. So, I took off work for an appointment that my OBGYN insisted couldn't wait two weeks for my vacation. I rearranged my schedule for it. And my boss rearranged her schedule to allow me to go to it, since we are super short staffed she was the one doing my job. And all I have to show for it is an appointment in two weeks, on my vacation. Because medical professionals think only their schedules matter. read more

I have been a patient with Matlock OBGYN for 5 years. The past 2yrs have not been the best service. My most recent experience which so have been the most joyous haas been horrible. Being pregnant with my first child, it took over 6 weeks to get my first appt. They tell us to msg them by utilize the portal for non emergencies with a 1-2 day business turn around. Each time I have utilized the portal it take 1week+ and I have to leave numerous VM to get a response back. This has happened numerous times. My first appt was at the Mansfield location, at the end of the appt they tell me my husband and I need to schedule another appt because this location does not have all the equipment to fitful my first prenatal appt. I was upset because if I was told this when booking I would have selected the location to ensure everything be done at my first appointment. We book for 1 weeks out at the Arlington location. (I had no missed calls, no VMs and I received several emails for confirmation via text and email nothing ever stated that I needed to reschedule or that my appointment was canceled) The following week my husband and I both leave in the middle of work for the appt. We get there only to find the office closed with a sign on the door that simply says "closed for the afternoon please call and speak to answering service" I finally get a call back 2 days later and the lady accuses me of being 30 min late. I had time stamps to prove I was on time and spoke to the answering service rep serval times before leaving. (They didn't even know the office was closed) Needless to say she then try's to apologize and says how she understands and how this and that wasn't right for them to do and rebook me... almost 15 weeks with 2 appts and never received a single sonogram!!! I happily told her I will no longer continue with them as a patient she and I now have found an amazing facility to care for us ! read more

If I could give this clinic a negative I would . I have finally switched clinics . Everytime I call I'm on hold for 30+ minutes. The lady's at the front are always rude to me . The times I've had appointments I would have to reschedule due to a mistake at my appointment time. Even with the automated system calling and me showing them the VM I received it still didn't matter. The VM never confirmed my appt just stated I need to call and make an app. I just think it's ridiculous having to call and wait half an hour. And you can't ever have an emergency appt it's always weeks or 1 month out. I understand they are a. If clinic but they should try to help/accommodate at times. read more

Dr. Tamra Fortenberry is an outstanding OBGYN, she is kind and caring. She went that extra step after talking to me to see what my concerns were, I was supposed to have the last fragment of my IUD removed from my uterus by another Doctor at another hospital, and that Doctor was very vague on reporting if it was all removed. Three years later, I scheduled my first visit with Dr.Fortenberry, after discussing my past history and my present concern with this caring Doctor, she schedule an ultrasound to see if the past OBGYN from another hospital had removed all of the Fragmented IUD that was left after it was suppose to be removed. Dr. Fortenberry scheduled me an appointment right away with her ultrasound department, I was able to see the small fragment that was left in place that I was not made fully aware of by the last OBGYN from another hospital. I will meet with Dr. Fortenberry soon so we can discuss my options. Dr. Fortenberry has given me awesome information on dealing with HOT FLASHES, and everything else that goes with becoming an aging adult. I will indeed tell my friends and loved ones about the care I received from Dr. Fortenberry. I have excellent insurance and I can go anywhere, I will continue to drive the hour it takes to get a kind, caring, and knowledgeable OBGYN like Dr. Fortenberry. After being a patient there for years the last 2 years their quality of care severely go downhill and never being able to get ahold of anyone in the office I posted a less than favorable review on Facebook adding my concerns of having medical issues and not being able to get anything answered... I did EVERYTHING that they told me to do and more to get my issues cleared up. Because of the less than good review they decided to retaliate and cancel me as a patient. I jsut got back from vacation telling me in a certified letter they no longer want me as a patient. I had an appointment today at 8:30 am. I arrived at Medical City before then and parked in the garage. The elevator was not in service and had to walk down 4 flights of stairs. Normally this would not be an issue but I'm 7months pregnant and move slower than normal. After walking down the stairs and getting to the Matlock Obgyn office, I had to use the ladies room so I did not walk into the office until 8:35. Once I was there, I waited in line behind a lady making new appointments and asking about appointment times and another filing out paperwork. By the time I got to see the receptionist, it was after 8:40 so I was told that I could not be seen. I explained to the receptionist that I was less than 10 minutes late and I was there waiting so she went and talked to Dr. Uzoma but I was told I needed to make another appointment for later the same day or another day. I've never been told that I needed to arrive to this office early or I would not be seen. I understand having a late policy in place to keep the schedule moving but this was ridiculous. I have never had any problems or issues until now. I also would not have been so upset if someone had previously explained the policy and I wasn't 7months pregnant. I had someone watch my toddler while I went to this appointment because getting around is more difficult for me these days. read more

I've been coming to Matlock OB-GYN for years and switched to Dr. Oommen this past year. Today I took off work and drove all the way to the clinic and they told me that I needed to reschedule. Dr. Oommen has been delivering a baby for the past hour. Why didn't they call me? They should've called me so I didn't have to drive all the way there and take off work. They couldn't fit me in with any other provider there. My only choice was to go back home and reschedule. Ridiculous! They don't take their patients time into consideration. This also happened earlier this year but they called me when I was practically to the office. I get that this is going to happen but be accommodating to your patients when it does. I haven't been seen yet but I got my referral from my dr about a month ago and since I've been calling them to try to make an appointment. Every time I called, IF they answered, they said they didn't see it but maybe it hadn't been entered into the system and that they would check and call me back. Never received a call. Never received a callback for my voicemail. Called my insurance to verify it was sent...it was. I called a few more times...same thiSo I just went up there. They said the same thing when I got there but finally someone decided to ask what ins I had. That's when they realized they needed to look in some system but no one had access. Accept this one amazing lady (she sits in this window to the right of the front desk). She found me...it's as that easy the entire time. All they had to do was ask what insurance I had Got to my appt 20 mins early for paperwork. Finished right at my appt time and immediately went back. I sat in that room waiting on the dr for about an hr before the dr finally came in. I didn't like her. She came in like I hadn't been waiting for an hr and like I was an inconvenience. She didn't seem to actually listen to my concerns before giving me the typical answers. If I could afford to go to a dr outside of my network I would. Dr Fortenberry wouldn't be my choice. read more

I have a rather urgent need to see a gynecologist after seeing my regular doctor so I looked on-line & found Dr. Robert Greve. The website allowed me to book an appt on-line. I did that last week. Today, I called the office (2 days before my appt) to confirm & the woman that called me left a VM that I could hardly understand (still can't understand her name) & told me that she had to cancel my appt because the on-line system is not working & I am a new patient. Hmmm...your website says you're accepting new patients. I guess not. As well, I sent all my medical records to them. I have no complaints about the doctor as I have not seen him but the office staff needs work! I had to leave a message which is BAD customer service! Do the women in labor have to leave a message & HOPE that someone will call them back?! If this is the way they don't value your business then I don't need them! This place never answers the phone. You call and leave an important message about your health that can't wait and they either don't respond or call back hours or days late. Come on you are taking care of pregnant women take care of them instead of ignoring us or being useless why answer the phone for an emergency if you can't even give advice. This place is good if you have the right doctor. I wish I did my research. I picked this place because it was within a mile of where I lived at the time. As every review states, they are bad at answering the phone but if you leave a message in the patient app they do call you so you can bypass the long wait. The two receptionists at the front of the Arlington location are very pleasant and always busy. I am a new mom; I told my doctor this many times, she told me to get the COVID shot every appointment until I was 6 months she finally stopped and asking me why not. It just felt like there was a huge lack of a relationship built between us and felt she wasn't hearing me. I wanted to have a good experience and I just didn't. If I went here again I would've chosen Dr. Whitfield, she ended up delivering my baby. The nurse Brandi was amazing she was very personable and let you know everything she was doing or what was going on. read more

I am giving this place one star because Yelp does not allow me to give 0 stars. My wife and I had an appointment. I took the day off work to take her. We get to the office and it is empty. There is only one nurse who tells us our appointment was cancelled. She said that the doctor is not in and the nurse practitioner and other nurse called out so all appointments were cancelled. I asked how they notified their customers. I was told they did this via text. I checked my phone and had no notification of a cancelled appointment. Then the nurse gives us attitude and laughs at us and says my wife is not even in their system. I asked the nurse how that can be if we got 3 emails to register etc and we did register. I ask her how they texted us if we were not registered. This office has no idea what they are doing or how to successfully run their practice. Would definitely NOT recommend for prenatal care! They are the worst at returning your phone call. I literally have to go up to the clinic just to get my issue resolved every time. Been coming to Matlock OB-GYN for years. Loved Dr. Lefholtz, sad to see her go. However, I'm happy I was placed in great hands and care of Dr. Fortenberry she is loving and caring. She is not only my honey pot doctor. She's also my counselor lol. Meaning she goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. And the office staff love, Love, Love them. I love Dr. Niemand. I feel like she's straight up and answers questions clearly without making me feel awkward for asking. My OB appointments have been fast and easy with her and her personal clinic staff is great. I've had the same medical assistant each time and I feel comfortable with her. Lab is quick and efficient. The problem I have with them is their phone answering system is trash and the best way to contact them is to choose talk to a nurse and leave a message. They have always returned my call that same day. If you choose any other option you can't get anyone on the phone and the front office stops taking calls at like 3:30. If you're having a difficult time with traffic or parking - which is hard- the front office will give you attitude about it, but Dr. Niemand never turned me away for being 10 minutes late. read more

Very slow to respond and nearly impossible to get someone to answer the phone. I've been trying to get my arm implant birth control replaced since SEPTEMBER. Went in for my yearly well woman exam which went fine, was told it'd be 6-8 weeks for my replacement to arrive, which was also fine. But they never called to let me know that it had arrived. I had to call them. Several several times, and had trouble getting an answer. Then when they DID call back, no one would leave a message. I don't call back numbers that don't leave a message. You would think that informing a patient that their BC has arrived would warrant leaving a message. When I was finally able to talk to someone, turns out they were just an after-hours phone operator at a remote location, so they couldn't even take a message from me, let alone make an appointment. Week of Thanksgiving someone finally calls when I'm actually able to answer (I'm a teacher and free time during the day to make a call is rare), and tells me I need to call back when I'm on my period. Well great, let's hope that this expired arm implant keeps working until then.....It's finally New Years Eve and my period thankfully came back around so that I could get this thing replaced. I was a new patient and was excited that I was able to get an appointment the next day! Well, while the most common complaint is the wait time, I am complaining that I was rushed! The Dr I saw Zekham? I don't even know her name, told me she was going to prescribe me something without even going over side effects or even it's purpose. She Googled my complaint and printed out 3 pages about one of my symptoms. That is all I left with. I have no proof that I was ever there. She was nice but she was not thorough. She rushed me so bad, that she walked in on me as I was changing into my gown! She didn't even knock! The website doesn't even have her name listed. my daughter is pregnant with her 1st baby, first visit with staff was amazing, second visit with the doctor mrs fortenbery not so much. Very rude, very snobby, didnt even introduce herself, was not welcoming or pleasant in anyway. changed doctors office for this reason. when i called and left a detailed message to staff to let them know we wanted to cancel future appointments and to let them know about the switch they contacted me back having not even listened to my voicemail and not seeming to really care. What's the point in leaving a voicemail if you don't listen to them before you call back?! It was a real disappointment because we were looking to go with Matlock obgyn because dr. Angela Walker was previous obgyn for my sons delivery 10 years ago dr and she was such an amazing doctor but the staff has changed and not very welcoming. Not only that they should stand by the billboards around town that say what a pleasure it is to deliver a medical city Arlington they are not representing that statements very well. While the doctors are great here the customer service is not. Receiving a call back takes days and you can almost never expect to talk to a person quickly. Parking is terrible, it took me 25 minutes to find a spot so I was late for my appointment and they made me reschedule. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you're pregnant. read more

Ok last week I called Matlock OBGYN clinic to set an appointment for my wife and I talked to the woman who sets the appointments that was very very Rude at that time, her name is Tony or Toni something like that. Well , finally she put me with doctor Harry Froeschke, that was Monday 11/12. Today Monday 11/19 I call in the morning with some quick concerns, for example... I ask her if the Doctor Harry will se us? She said NO. Also asked her if the will do an ultrasound bcz she is over 8 weeks pregnancy and of course she said again very Rude Nope. This woman Toni barely let me talk, she was talking on top of my words all the time with a very bad attitude and rude tone. Ok, I'll be there tomorrow morning for my appointment 11/20.  Today at 3:15pm  she calls back to CANCEL my appointment for tomorrow and reschedule for next week. Really? We, me and wife asked for tomorrows day off,  a week in advance and this woman Tony calls to Cancel? For no reason, she told me there's gonna be more appointments but no mine. Of course she did this on purpose bcz she maybe got upset with my morning questions. And she remove us to put someone else. This is not professional at all, we waiting for our 1st child,  ofc we are nervous and on top of that we have to deal with this type of person. Very sad for us. But god will handle it. read more
