I don't know if anyone is familiar with the movie The Goonies but I look like I could have been his little sister "Hey You Guys." I have scabs all through my head my right ear got so big and it's just leaking my thyroids were inflamed. So I went to the ER about 2:30 a.m. and I got out of there by 5:30 a.m. I got two shots one of each arm and one on my right side it hurts so bad and then I got ibuprofen so I told them I will pick up my prescription at my pharmacist I don't know if I should have opened my mouth and told them I don't have no money but they the medication came up to $35 the next time I go into the ER I'm going to be very clear with them I don't care if you got to give me the off-brand $35 is a lot I could have did a lot with that. The service was fast and quick but the way this economy is going I'm quite upset I felt like you should gave me the off-brand stuff or charged me the off-brand. FYI I will not be posting before and after I don't want to send nobody to the ER.

After we called and they told us he was there, we arrived there to find my grandfather in the waiting room clearly still concussed in a wheel chair, with nothing but his pants, no discharge papers nothing whatsoever. I can't seem to figure out how you can discharge somebody who was just in a car crash, one where he had to be transported by helicopter, who was clearly unconscious, leave him in a wheel chair in the waiting room, not contact any emergency contacts or nothing. It doesn't sit right with me that this is allowed, nurses didn't help at all, we requested ice pack and they couldn't even give us a single just bag with ice. they left him out with no shoes in the cold with a bus pass, while he lives 2 HOURS AWAY from a city he doesn't live in. We called from our pharmacy…read morerequesting a controlled narcotic prescription be sent to us electronically since it was sent to a different pharmacy by them. Instead of helping us out, he started raising his voice and yelling that we should be able to get it transferred to us. When our pharmacist tried to explain that our electronic system did not allow us to transfer narcotic prescriptions between the 2 pharmacies, he became more rude, started raising his voice more and kept repeating himself. First of all, he is not the one prescribing the medication and he should have called the provider who sent the prescription so we could talk to them to send RX to the right pharmacy instead of wasting our time arguing while the patient is in pain! Secondly, we also needed a clarification on the order which he did not forward to the provider then hung up on us and when we called back, he wouldn't answer. Maybe he has only worked at a hospital pharmacy and does not understand that not all retail pharmacy systems are set up to transfer a narcotic prescription. He should be trained to learn how to speak over the phone before calls are simply transferred to him. Yelling and repeating himself on the phone instead of getting to a solution is the last thing anyone needs from a pharmacist, let alone a hospital pharmacist who should be able to handle much more than usual given the type of work they do.

In addition, I had to call a nurse, as the aid forgot to turn on my leg massager after putting it on. The staff may be busy but it is disappointing to have to wait for pain meds or someone to assist me with the restroom. The most frustrating thing was that I didn't get fed until late in the day after not eating since two days before. I was instructed not to eat the night before surgery. My surgery ended up being late in the evening, even after I was told to arrive by 11:00 pm. With a late surgery, I wasn't allowed to eat dinner. The staff told me I couldn't have breakfast or lunch as there were no orders for food. I wasn't anticipated to spend the night but the surgery was late. It is rough to have to wait two days to eat. Doctor orders should be checked for meals following any surgery or have a hospitalist that could make the decision. Another thing is that discharge took forever. The doctor said I was ready to go home. I got my PT done, finally got my walker, my ride home had arrived, but no one would discharge me. I was tired & wanted to rest. The person who pushed me out to the car, tried shoving my leg that had the brace into the car. It didn't fit through the car door, thus I had to lift my leg & put it on the dashboard which really wasn't safe. It would've been better to have a PT assist. The surgery went well & the doctor visited the next day. I was just disappointed in the aftercare & discharge. These are suggestions for future patients.

He was in there for a procedure and when I visited him once I could tell that they were not taking proper care of his hygiene. When they checked him out and sent him home, a couple days later he was collapsing and couldn't speak. He was rushed back and the doctor determined that he was in septic shock due to improper hygiene and a UTI that traveled into his system during his visit a couple days prior. He succumbed to this. That was before the outsourced operations. As you can see by other reviews, it's not doing any better. Consumer Reports hospital ratings verifies this. I would do anything you can to not get sent here.

While this is on the Stanford facility it doesn't seem to be connected and continuity of records and meds is lacking.

Which should be concerning to all civilians who come in and get treated at this so called " better quality facility" . They took xray the dr. told me he didn't see anything in his Xray. Well we received his results online from memorial and it stated Hazy bilateral pulmonary reticular interstitial opacities, which are nonspecific but may be seen with interstitial pneumonia in the appropriate clinical setting. On his discharge paperwork they diagnosed him with acute bronchitis only because I told them he's had bronchitis several times this year. So basically it was a waste of time going there . If doctors don't have any answers then who do we go to for answers? I guess we are all better off researching ourselves on Google. All these so called "superior " hospitals are supposed to give better patient care than the other hospitals but apparently they are all the same except you pay more out of pocket for this type of healthcare.

Firstly, the nurses are so sweet, so attentive, and made me feel so welcomed. I'm saying this from someone who did unfortunately have a traumatic c section experience (not the doctors fault, just circumstances). Although all the nurses were amazing I would like to recognize two amazing nurses who really made me feel seen and advocated for me, Nurse Jackie and Nurse Tabitha ( I hope that's how I spell their names). I will definitely always remember them and we're definitely the highlight of my experience. I'd hopefully like to nominate them for a daisy award. I'd also like to give a shout out to how clean the facility felt even the bathrooms.. I didn't have that same experience with my last delivery at another location .The food was decent, I wasn't really hungry during my visit but according to my vistors who did try the food they said it was pretty good. Overall I rate my experience 10/10. Thank you Kaiser Modesto L&D for turning this traumatic birth experience into something that ended up being amazing.
