From the very start, the place has an extremely friendly, family-oriented feel. RJ at the front made scheduling the appointment easy, and the staff in the waiting area were welcoming and professional. From the beginning, they worked with me to make everything as convenient as possible--handling insurance, securing a rental car, and taking the stress out of the process. In a time when it often feels like real customer service is dead, Continental was a breath of fresh air. I brought in a recently purchased Honda CR-V that was still under a limited warranty for a small audio system issue. As part of the visit, they performed a complimentary mechanical inspection. My mechanic, Alex, found many issues with the vehicle that were not reported in the seller's so-called 200-point inspection. His meticulous inspection of the vehicle saved me thousands of dollars and countless "nickel-and-dime" headaches down the road. What really stood out was the communication. Alex really took the time to explain each issue clearly, what it meant for the vehicle long-term, and even showed me the actual areas needing attention (then later repaired) That level of transparency and patience is rare. Continental Imports is hands-down the best auto repair experience I've had in Gainesville. If you value exceptional customer service, honest communication, attention to detail, and repairs done right the first time, this is the place. Highly recommended!!!

    My car was completely covered in scratches all the way around the car, on the hood, and on top of…read morethe car, from having to go through an overgrown area with tree sapling branches and not being able to back up because where I was driving made that impossible. I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to do anything about this but repaint the car. I went to Gettel Toyota Body Shop and they said to try a detail shop first before assuming that it needed the extreme solution of repainting. I then tried to find who would be a good detail person to leave it with. I picked up three paint pens from the Gettel Toyota Parts department. The Parts department recommended Marvin of Continental Imports. They said he had previously worked with Toyota and that it's hard to keep a good detail guy. Gettel Parts said that the shop he now works at handles high-end European car repairs such as Mercedes cars. And that what I needed if I wanted something top notch would be something that a high-end car detail guy might be able to handle. I went where they suggested. Continental Imports and Marvin rescued this vehicle. It was a goner as far as it looked to me when I left it with them. Marvin performed miracles by making the car look better than it has ever looked including when I first got it. He even got rid of old scratches that were there before the recent incident that caused the problem with the scratches all over the car. I was so relieved. I would certainly want to go back here for a regular detail in the future. I cannot praise Marvin enough for his work on this vehicle. The people at Continental Imports also tried to make sure I would be able to get to where I live, which is not that close by, with their help and so forth, since the work being done took all day and half the next day to complete. It was a top experience all around. Marvin at Continental Imports is a car detailing miracle worker in Gainesville, Florida.

    I would not recommend Ahren's-- especially to university students-- based off of my experience with…read moretheir team and their extreme upcharging of parts. Their pricing is not honest at all. I took my car in with serpentine belt issues. For my make and model, this part generally costs $30-$50. Ahren's priced this part at $80. Their diagnostic examine also found belt tensioner issues. For the serpentine and belt tensioner replacement combined, they quoted me $512 of repairs. This is extremely high and gives me the inclination that this is another mechanic in town that is trying to take advantage of college students who are not as informed on car repairs. I do not think the presented quote is fair by any means so thanked them and let them know I would not be having service done their. I was presented with an $85 fee for a half-hour diagnostic look. This fee was not disclosed beforehand at all, was not mentioned verbally, and I did not sign anything agreeing to this fee. Take your car elsewhere. I took my vehicle here just out of convenience of location, but have previously had much better service at the Firestone off of Archer and with Billy's Auto Repair & Towing. UPDATE: I went in to pick up my car and wish I could leave a negative review. If you take your car here and leave without even having any work done, you will be charged an $85 minimum. I asked why I wasn't informed of this in anyway (no signatures, no verbal inform) beforehand and the woman working the front desk had the owner come out. He raised his voice and started asking why I hadn't taken my car to Billy's or somewhere else. In his rant he referenced other reviews that I have left on Gainesville for miscellaneous places which was unsettling. He lied and said he listened to my phone conversation, saying that I was informed of all fees beforehand-- I certainly was not and he wouldn't play the recording. I have lived in Gainesville for many years and can say assuredly that this is one of the shadier places in town. They use deceptive business practices and their prices are anything but honest.

    Took our Yukon into these folks, ac wasn't blowing cold. Previously gmc/chevy in gainesville…read moreprediagnosed the repair and charged 800 for the wrong diagnoses.and wrong part to fix the ac. These guys Told us how long it would take gave a very descriptive diagnosis and two days later we are blowing cold air once again. The price was very fair for what they did new ac compressor flushed the system and new belts. They tell you exactly what you need and nothing more. Their pricing is very competitive in that I believe it was fair and service was good. They provide you with a quote and breakdown via text message that leads to a website with price of parts and labor for each thing. You could even text their number, which was great. The main reason why I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of communication. When I called about my car that was towed there, I asked about turnaround and expectations. Now, when I got there, they had a lot of cars in their lot. I definitely did not mind that it took longer than expected. I didn't call or check-in every day but I did try to get updates bc I needed to know if I needed to get a rental. I wasn't given turnaround time and with the games and events happening in Gainesville it got too late for me to get a rental. I honestly felt like they were purposefully not answering me or answering me at the end of the work day. I know I could've just gotten it but one of team members I know was truly trying to save me money by telling me to hold off on getting a rental until I heard from them. I ended up not getting a rental which was difficult with work. I ended up asking for some leniency at work and would bike (which was scary on Archer), but it was fine. I am very grateful and would definitely come here again but now I just have no expectations with regard to their communication.
