I took my BMW Z3 to Gator Muffler and they were fantastic. They welded up a broken joint and installed a Flow Master muffler. It is sort of straight-thru but with a bend inside. Not very loud. They also re-installed my original oval tip. Cost was $279 and it took them less than an hour. BMW wanted $2600! read more

Gator Muffler ruined my car and is acting like they did not do it! I went in to get my exhaust adjusted because it was hanging low and rattling against the exhaust hanger. They moved one side wayyy too high and caused my axle to rub against it and ruin the whole axle. They are making every excuse in the book instead of trying to help out. I would not recommend them for anything other than an oil change unless you don't want integrity behind the work you get done. Their mess up cost me over 1300 dollars in repairs and they aren't offering help AT ALL! BEWARE! read more

I almost hate to give these fellows a great review, because once everyone realizes how awesome they are their business will increase and I've been spoiled (as you will read below). But in all fairness, they deserve nothing less than 5 stars. I work down the road from Gator Muffler and desperately needed my oil changed. I knew that going into Gainesville to the name brand place was going to take me at least an hour and I thought I would surf the net to see if there were ANY options in Alachua. I saw some reviews for Gator Muffler on line and decided to give them a try. This guys are amazing! Like I said, I work about a mile or two down the road and can honestly say I have left work, had my oil changed and been back at my office in 20 minutes. TWICE! I've done it with both my car and my truck and these guys get you in and get you out, change the oil, check the fluids, check the tires -- all the stuff you get at the name brand place, but NO up-sell. I got SO frustrated with the other company when getting my oil changed because it was ALWAYS an up-sell (you need a new air filter, a new belt, a new cabin air filter - REALLY? I can breathe the air outside but not the air in my own car??). The second time I went (with my car) the gentleman told me that I would need to look at front brake pads pretty soon, but that I still had some time. He told me approximately how many miles I had before I needed to be concerned and quoted me an approximate price, including labor. I will DEFINITELY be taking my car back for brake pads and any other work that I need done. Customer service is sorely lacking at so many places these days, but not at Gator Muffler. Nice to see professionalism, customer service and integrity all in one place. read more
