I went into the shop to buy a replacement tire for my bike. I had told someone over the phone what…read moreI was looking for but unfortunately the tire they had was the right type and size but the wrong color. That was not their fault, however, they sold me 2 tires that were better than what I was replacing. Unfortunately, when I had the tires installed elsewhere it was determined that the tires were made for a wider rim. When I went back to RedBike the person in charge said they would take the tires back but that there would be a restocking charge. I can't believe a bike shop would not recognize that the tires they were selling me were made for a wider rim than the tire that I had enquired about and that they had shown me. The tires they showed me were substantially bigger off a rim than the tire that was the exact replacement. I learned that the wider rim reduces the diameter to the tire when it is on the rim.

Operator was not embarrassed about the problem and would not commit to a time for second attempt at repair. I had expected I might be given priority since the first attempt at repair had not been successful. After 2 days, I called to enquire about the status of repair and was advised nothing had been done yet. I then enquired when I might expect it to be done and could not get any commitment from the operator. I sensed an ambivalence and this was not the first time at this business. I retrieved the blower and have taken it to another service centre.
