The restaurant was about half-full and bustling brightly indoors and on the deep shaded wrap-around patio. Our server, Branden, was one of the best servers we've ever had! Attentive and polite, even reading off the entire menu and describing highlights to hubs, who'd never been before. We were seated immediately at a booth table and brought complimentary chips and salsa. These are good fresh, thin chips and smoky mild-hot tasty salsa. Branden brought us a second round of chips and salsa as well. We ordered: - Coca-Cola fountain drink - Coke Zero fountain drink - SHORT RIB MACHACA ENCHILADAS 5/5 - Highly recommend - caramelized peppers & onions, yellow cheese, ancho chile sauce, cilantro. My husband and I arrived into town for the San Diego Padres Spring training games. The past two times, prior to the game, we have enjoyed the food and ambiance of Blanco. Starting off with the incredible guacamole with actual chunks of creamy avocado, from the sizzling and spectacular spicy tiger shrimp fajitas, to the smoky mouthwatering goodness of the chicken tinga and the short rib machaca enchiladas. The four of us all ordered the charro beans and loved them. The entire meal was so balanced with the heat and creamy. I must also rave about their selection of tequila. I enjoyed a very refreshing skinny margarita with some Grand Marnier (Got to love a Caddy)! Not too sweet, which made it easier to partake in a few! lol Most of all, the GM Jake offered stellar customer service, going above and beyond to make sure it was a wonderful experience. Other super friendly staff members were full of personality and professionalism because we were being a bit spicy when we came back the same night post game. We visited this Blanco location for the second time yesterday. Our visit was at the tail end of Arizona Restaurant Week, so they had a prix fixe menu offering with some of their staples and highlights. We took them up on the Restaurant Week offer and started our meal with the queso dip. The Restaurant Week menu included a drink for both of us. I had the seasonal sangria which was a blackberry and strawberry flavor. The queso came out super hot and was delicious. The chips it came with were hot, crispy, and delicious. For my meal, I had the chicken tinga burrito. It was a bit spicy, but really good. Par with the course, it came out hot and fresh as well. The Restaurant Week meal deal finished off with seasonal fruit empanadas. The current offering was a brown sugar pineapple empanada. They were delicious and the perfect capstone to our meal. Excellent food and service! We went on a spring training game night, so parking was basically nonexistent, but we didn't mind parking at Target and walking over. We made a reservation on OpenTable and were seated right away, which was a great start. We ordered the margarita tree, and it was a solid deal for four full-size margaritas. Even though the area was busy, that's what made the atmosphere so fun, it felt lively and energetic. I especially loved the green space in the middle of the three restaurants. I also got the carne asada fajitas, and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Such a great spot for a girls' dinner. Today's visit was exceptional! If you come to this location, ask to sit in Foster's section, he was sharp and on top of everything! Nice, genuine personality and he already inquired about things before I even had to ask! His energy was helpful, joyful and kind! Not to mention he paid extra attention to making my 4 year old's visit special as well, asked her what her favorite color was, and made sure the straw on her drink matched! We started off with my better half enjoying a moderately good Skinny Margarita while I indulged with a nice ice-cold Dos XX draught. Our appetizer was the most incredible, tasty, fresh and beautiful Spicy Mango Ceviche. Perfectly prepared fresh and tender shrimp, delicate avocado, some crispy cucumber, just the right amount of radish, and an exquisite rendition of pico de gallo - best I've had in a very, very long time (will they share the recipe with me?). My Wife thoroughly enjoyed her order of The Combo Platter of a large mouthwatering ground beef taco, a well-proportioned and flavorful cheese enchilada, and a tasty bean tostada (a crunchy and delicate tostada). Meanwhile, I went for The Tucson Chimichanga consisting of an extremely tender and perfectly seasoned short rib machaca with ample cheese, smooth and tasty guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo rolled up enchilada style along with rice and charro beans. I still can't say enough of their pico de gallo! Needless to say, we don't know how Mr. Fox and his outfit does it. With having multiple restos, in multiple states such as Culinary Dropout (a fave), Doughbird, Flower Child, and most recently Society Swan and the Global Ambassador! I tried the Mezcalito and Dodge's Cadillac, which were both good, but the Cadillac was my personal favorite. For dinner, I decided on the Spicy Tiger Shrimp fajitas and they do not disappointment! The flavor was excellent and everything was cooked so perfectly. The service was also top tier and despite it being a baseball game night, it wasn't overly packed and was a very enjoyable environment. The guacamole had a very deep avocado taste and the chips were a bit thicker than typical with a strong corn flavor...this flavor was also present in the corn tortillas...which I recommend if you get tacos. The carne asada tacos were filled with chucks of steak cheese and guacamole...probably the best I've ever had. The rice and beans were fine as a side but next time I'll just get the tacos and not have any other items. Lastly they do a nice job with the margaritas and have a nice selection of mixed drinks. I got the mango stand and my friend got the Rosa Bonita which I did like a little more but both drinks were good! If you're looking for great service and delicious food I recommend this place hands down. I love the atmosphere and the staff are always welcoming. All the servers we've had in every visit are informative, attentive, and friendly. I love that they always give food and drink recommendations which always turns out amazing after trying. You're always served with chips and salsa as soon as you're seated. My go to bowls are either the Short Rib Machaca or the Carne Asada Bowl. I have yet to try the Enchiladas but my sisters loved it when they tried it. The Grilled Mexican Street Corn is my favorite starter. I recommend ordering it! We dined in early 2026 at this new Sonoran-Fusion style modern cantina. We had an excellent server, Mia, who worked with us on all the menu items that interested us. My partner has developed sensitivities to tomato and spiciness, so Mia worked with us to have certain seasonings on the side. This was our first opportunity to eat at Blanco Cocino + Cantina but it won't be our last. We found it to be an excellent choice. Both my wife and I chose a lunch special which included a soft drink, queso or guacamole, and a choice of a number of entrees. We both picked the ground beef taco with ancho chili sauce. On top of all this we were quickly greeted and served chips and salsa when we arrived. The air conditioned dining room was nicely decorated with lots of tables and booths. Even though we picked a simple lunch selection we looked over the menu finding it to be varied and complete with many other drinks, both alcoholic and non, and most any Mexican inspired entree you can think of. The prices all seemed quite reasonable. The only drawback I can think of is its location, which is both a positive and a maybe a negative. The location we had lunch at is directly adjacent to a Spring Training baseball stadium in Peoria, Az. I'm sure it becomes extremely busy before and after a ballgame each year during the Spring. A negative if you are hoping to get seated quickly. And a positive if you want to celebrate your team's victory. We plan on dining at Blanco again on the future. read more

Blanco is located near the Peoria Cactus League field for the Mariners and Padres and is just a short walk. We've been here a few times and really, really like the atmosphere and food. Given the touristy nature of the area, prices aren't too bad either. Service is friendly and staffers seem to gauge where you're at and let the party roll along. On our most recent visit trip, Paul our server was top notch! Expect to pay $35 or so each depending upon how thirsty you are. LOL read more

This was a good spot for dinner although despite it having a name in Spanish is more American style tacos. Still good but don't let the name fool you. Has a trendy vibe and very aesthetic, dark, however so hard to see the menu at night. Lighting is quite dim. The service was good, had multiple servers come to our table to check in, had a good "all hands on deck" feel and they did ok with time delivery after having ordered drinks and appetizers. Took about 10 min for drinks and 15 for apps, we were in a large party - about 16 or so, and so it already could be delayed in lining all items up but felt longer than it should have. Appetizers were good, we had some salsa with chips - chips were fresh and hot and the salsa was very mild but had good flavor. Chimichangas were another one, the queso sauce on top is so good, and the beans were so so good, blended refried so they're extra creamy, which I loved. I ordered the vegan enchiladas because it has a ton of veggies and they were very very good: not your typical flavor or enchiladas but that's what I was going for. They have sweet potatoes in them so different but again, so good. Grabbed this by recommendation from server which I absolutely appreciated. For me, Blanco is one of the places you come when someone invites you but it's not where i personally go for Mexican cuisine. It's more of an upscale type of vibe, not the hole in the wall place that has you licking your fingers they were so good. It is good food, don't get me wrong, but it's a unique style of Mexican. Good for pre or post game food and drinks but make a reservation unless you want to wait an hour or just drink in the beer garden out front. Drinks are good but really spicy, service is a little understaffed so don't expect people coming around for drink checks. We had one beverage we didn't like, one sip, we were charged anyway. Oh well.
