I know I'm getting old because I am so happy to have a brand-new dishwasher. The dishwasher I decided on is pure perfection! When I went to select a dishwasher, Robert was very helpful and knowledgeable about all of the features of each dishwasher. I was able to schedule my dishwasher installation very quickly, which was nice. The two men that came out were able to install my dishwasher within under an hour. The only reason that I knocked off a star was that I wish they would have done a better job cleaning up after themselves and it would have been respectful of them to wear shoe coverings. There was mud tracked throughout my entire place and they stepped on my carpets. Other than that, I would recommend Matterns Ridge Appliances. read more

Worst customer service I've ever received. We bought our range and dishwasher there in November 2020, so not even 2 years ago. Our dishwasher is not working, again NOT even 2 yrs old! I called to see how we get it repaired & was told the normal one year warranty BS. So I say how disappointed I am that Matterns doesn't stand behind the items that they sell, how we bought from them bc I wanted to support a local and small business bc I thought I'd get better customer service vs a Lowes, etc. He proceeds to raise his voice at me and say "what the HELL would we do with a 2 yr old dishwasher?" So after being cursed at I raised my voice back to him and he proceeded to HANG up on me! I have never been treated more rudely by a business in my life! I will never step foot in this place again and if you do BUYER BEWARE!! You better pray nothing goes wrong with it!!!!! read more

I recently had to replace my 25-year old washer and dryer and was very leery of new products since my online research had come up with many bad reviews. I am also limited by size and location since I have a second floor laundry closet in a townhome and have allergies so I can only use certain soaps. Mattern's was recommended by my repair guy who knows ALL the locals well, and his recommendation was spot on! From the time I walked into the store until the time the delivery guys left, I was 100% pleased! Robert was great-no pressure, no hype, was able to answer my concerns about the products I was limited to, gave me hints on how to get the most out of my new machines and was very patient with my questions. The delivery guys were neat, polite, VERY professional, and quick! I was up and running in less than an hour and I love my new washer and dryer! I had a concern about staining because my old washer was leaking oil and Dale was very careful to load the old washer into a box so as not to get grease on the carpet--not a drop was spilled and no scuffs on the walls on the way out either! I wholeheartedly recommend Mattern's to anyone who likes to shop local, get personalized service from a friendly and knowledgeable professional--and their prices are great too!!! read more

On Mattern's website it says they price competitively and offer superior service -- and it's all true!! I couldn't be happier that we chose to purchase the appliances for our new home from Mattern's. Everyone we have dealt with at the store has been polite, professional and focused on customer service from the store to delivery to after market service. Our new GE fridge wouldn't cool and Mattern's sent GE Service out and when he said it was a dead compressor it was quickly replaced - no fuss, no hassle. Then #2 fridge started acting up within a week and deja vu .. again, Mattern's was amazing. Bob was on it and GE's been out again. Mattern's customer care is what sets them apart and above everyone else. I will be back for any future appliances! Never buy an appliance from this place! We bought a dryer for $1217.00 and it broke in less than 30 days. When we got in touch with them they said "I know you and your wife aren't going to like to hear this but there isn't anything we can about it". I called back and emailed the owner to try to come to a more acceptable resolution and never received a response back. We spent a lot of money and thought we were helping to support a local business. It looks like we lost out on a lot of money and they don't care about their local customers. Very disappointed and would never want anyone else to go through what we had and lose out on a lot of money In the process. We shouldn't have to spend money to repair a dryer that is less than 30 days old! read more

I have bought a washer, dryer, refrigerator, and dish washer at Matterns. I like supporting local stores rather than the BIG chain stores. My most recent purchase was a GE refrigerator. I noticed frost was forming in the freezer and the temperature was not consistent. I called Matterns and they scheduled an appointment with the GE Service Dept. for me. They took care of everything and now my frig is running great. This was all under warranty. Matterns gives wonderful personal service! read more

Just purchased a GE dual fuel range. Went there on a friend's recommendation. Bob was the salesman who was very knowledgeable on the dual fuel ranges. He explained everything with different brands so we decided on the GE. We needed help with our hookup and told us what was needed. Brian did the installation in a timely manner and explained the range to us. When we used it that nite, one of the burners wasn't working properly so Bob sent Brian out the next day to check it and fixed it. I've bought appliances from Mattern's for years. When we did our addition 6 years ago we got our dishwasher, range and microwave. Prior to that purchased 2 wall AC units. This year purchased a washer and a garage fridge. Service is always great and never have to wait long for items. A note, the maker of the fridge changed to the garage part being optional - we were sold the fridge because it was garage-ready. When stuff was not freezing right I looked at the book and found that the part was now optional and had to be ordered. Mattern's took care of it and the part was installed free of charge shortly after I reported the issue. Just ordered a replacement for my built-in microwave (awful that the GE only lasted 6 years before all paint peeling inside) and I will have it tomorrow. We just had to replace a front loading washer and dryer that were only 7 years old but the repairs needed were too expensive. Our experience at Mattern's was fantastic. Salesman was very knowledgeable and honest, knew we were pressed for time and emailed a quote to us rather than make us wait while he worked it up. Prices were comparable to local big box stores. He also looked up $200 in additional rebates for us. Delivery time was a specific time, not a 4 hour (wait around) window, and they were very accommodating with my requested time due to my work constraints . I Just Bought My Fourth Home about 3 years ago i wanted a miele Double Wall Oven and saw they Carried Miele appliances it Was A Sunday Around 11 am or !2 pm i went in saw the owner talking to another couple so i didn't mind then he glanced over to me a attitude look never acknowledge me, never said please wait i be right with you nothing, like i didn't mean anything i was there to buy A 6,000.00 miele oven and a lapearla dishwasher. not a one speed hotpoint washer. not a thing i am easy to get along with. he didn't even care i was there i just left and went to a place in king prussia that sell high end everything they were so nice to me. very disappointed. i can see they were first but the point is he never acknowledge me and he knew i was there. it was rude. never again read more
