I was ultimately told to buy a new dryer by a so-called tech who had not even been out to diagnose the appliance. The problem turned out to be the timer switch, a 5 minute fix and a $60 part. Even with labor, Dolan could have saved a less technically inclined person a few hundred dollars versus buying a new dryer. If you aren't willing to at least make the minimal effort, why are you in business? In short, call anyone else if you actually want service.

The repairman we had from Gowen's told us that he checked everything on the washer and that the drum on the washer was cracked, specifically stating there was no issue with the water valve. Before we scrapped it and bought a new one we called a different repairman that was LG certified and he quickly diagnosed it with a broken valve, which he easily replaced, and now the washer is back to new. Had we not called for a second opinion we would've wasted hundreds of dollars on replacing the drum or buying a new washer based on the Gowen's repairman's wrong recommendation. not a happy customer.

I looked at their website, and saw that they do duct cleaning, and the reasons for doing it. I called on July 3rd and I said I would like to hire them for the service. I gave them the square footage and and overview. They said they could see me on July 5th at 9AM. At 8:59AM a serviceman arrived. He explained what he was going to do and then went about cleaning the ducts. He said there was a moderate amount of dirt, and that he has seen worse. After he cleaned the ducts he vacuumed the unit itself, and then blew a chemical into the ducts that would kill any bacteria that happened to be there. I thought it was good precaution to take. He also showed me a better way to put the filter in the unit. I gave them 5 stars -- only because they didn't have an option for 6 stars. It's great to know there's a company like this out there.
