ANY referrals are always to a Millennium networked physician not because they are the best to treat you, but because they are in the Millennium Network! I'm very hard of hearing and wear hearing aids so this is a shared problem, but I cannot understand what he's saying with such a thick accent. When I ask him to repeat himself I get a look as if I'm stupid and then I feel stupid. My poor hearing and his accent doesn't mean is isn't accomplished but his demeanor makes it an unpleasant experience on top of being at a proctologist to begin with. On to the staff... They sit behind heavily frosted closed windows and if you're standing out in the waiting area for 15 minutes, you will be left standing there until YOU play guess which window and knock. God forbid they get up out of their seats and lean forward to open the slider or better yet, LEAVE THE SLIDERS OPEN! If you really want or need a good doctor with staff that at least act like they care, you're best option is north or south out of Charlotte County. I've had at least 3 doctors tell me that exact thing. Yesterday another doctor kept me waiting an hour and a half in the exam room. Again, go out of Charlotte for better care.

Had an appointment with his partner Dr. Maria Castilla for two weeks. Had to schedule to be off by 3:30pm. Got a call three days before they wanted to change my appointment to 2:40pm or reschedule in two weeks. I had to jump through a LOT of hoops to be able to get there by 2:40pm but I did. The day of my appointment I got a call at 12:45pm. They said I had to be there by 1:30pm or we had to reschedule in two weeks. I asked why and the very rude office girl told me Dr. Castilla was a surgeon and does whatever she wants. Now after all that they expect me to reschedule? I am going to find another surgeon. If they treat me like this for an initial consultation imagine how they will be scheduling surgery.

My son was a healthy individual who walked into the hospital that morning, never to walk out again. He suffered for 23 days at the hands of this monster. She has a history of lawsuits. Go on to the Charlotte County clerk website and look up her name. There is actually an open lawsuit at this present time. She has been fired for her incompetence from two surgery centers in Charlotte County. I am going to skip the details, other than to say I never saw my PA, she was AWOL from the practice, one person telling me she was scheduled off, the other telling me she didn't work there and never had. Dr. was not available - out of the office until October. Office manager was not available - hadn't come to work yet, at 10AM. If there was a way to give negative stars, I'd be doing that right now. Instead, she decided upon herself to do an open surgery on my son. What was supposed to be a 3-hour surgery turned into an eight and a half hour operation. Dr. Castilla called me post surgery to tell me my son was now on a ventilator and in a medically-induced coma. He was also in septic. In the next 23 days she performed another four major surgeries not including, chest tubes, drains, tracheotomy Etc. My son lost his life on the 23rd day post op because Dr. Maria Castilla performed a surgery beyond the scope of practice. Her arrogance took my son's life. Regrettably, my son and others suffered the same fate due to Dr. Maria Castilla's inferior skills. PLEASE DON'T BECOME A VICTIM OF DR. CASTILLA. Her lack of skill resulted in my son's death.
