When I've had my teeth cleaned, the hygienist puts a topical anesthetic on my teeth prior to cleaning which makes the process so much more gentle! The staff has photos of their families, of animals, & of places they've traveled on a tv that you can watch while you receive care & that makes the whole process so much nicer! As others have mentioned, they have a huge parking lot and so parking is free & easy. Moreland Neighborhood Dental has thought of everything to make going to the dentist an easy, gentle, & attentive experience! Totally sweet, calm, completely professional and absolutely competent. The dental assistant, Tim, was great; competent and friendly. The receptionists were wonderful. Everyone was kind, professional and personable. I didn't see Mr. Serrou the RDH but he's french and my neighbor says he rocks. I myself am pretty stoked about this multicultural little gem hidden away in the Woodstock Safeway parking lot. I almost didn't contact them because there were no Yelp reviews but, again, I am so pleased that I did. I set up an account with Yelp so that I could help to rectify the lack of reviews. As well as being a small locally owned business Woodstock Dental was also significantly more affordable than many of the other practices that that I contacted in the area. Perhaps because their sign and website aren't super awesome and they don't have to have any landscaping done. Don't let that fool you. This place is awesome.

My first 2 appointments were completely fine. Although I did feel a bit uncomfortable by the head front desk person because I could overhear her talking bad about another patient that she just got off of the phone with. Didn't think too much of it. The rest of the staff were nice. I then get a request for payment after already paying after my second appointment so I tried calling to better understand what the charge was. Called twice, no answer during business hours. 3rd time was able to get to the receptionist and she explained the charge to me. I started to get a little choked up because it was just an overwhelming amount that I didn't expect to pay, she then proceeded to on the phone say "Oh my gosh, don't start crying! Ugh!" and hung up on me. I called back and asked why she hung up and then tried gaslighting me into saying that I was the one who hung up, which was absolutely not true. I have never in my life experienced something like that and was honestly so shocked at this. This was incredibly hurtful and unprofessional. I will not be returning to this office because of that experience.

When she injects novocaine into gums, you barely notice. Also, she won't do work on your teeth if you don't need it. She'll tell you things like "Yeah, I a little concerned about this right here... but come back in 6 months and let's take a look." Her focus is cosmetic dentistry, so if you want your teeth to look good, you need to see her. One problem however with Dr. Smith is that she is so good, it might be hard to see her. Like all good dentists, they eventually start working only 3-4 days a week and reduce what insurance plans they accept. Honestly, I wished she expanded her practice to mentor more dentists or went into teaching at university. A great dentist like her has an obligation to pass on what she knows.

An awful experience, cannot recommend…read more I had zero pain prior to my appointment. I needed a filling and during the filling I expressed that I was having intense pain. The dentist kept giving anesthetic injections but I could still feel the pain of the drilling so it does not feel it was being done right. First time that has ever happened. Afterward, I was in excruciating pain for a week, went back in a 2nd time to have her check what was wrong. She said everything was fine despite my pain and sent me home. I continued to be in severe pain for MONTHS until I was able to finally get in with a different dental clinic. The new dentist was able to immediately diagnose the problem, it was that the first dentist at Woodstock Smiles did not finish the tooth properly and had left a gap open at the bottom of the tooth, where food was getting trapped and nerves were exposed and it had become infected. I required antibiotics. He cleaned it out and sealed the tooth properly, took barely 15 minutes, and the pain stopped. No more pain since. Then, Woodstock Smiles tried charging me $80 for the 2nd visit (which was only needed because she did the first one wrong) -- and since she did nothing to help me on the 2nd visit, I refused to pay. They started to send me to collections until I mentioned filing a malpractice lawsuit. Then they removed the charge. So it seems this dentist does not know what she is doing. She caused me MONTHS of agonizing pain and illness, gaslit me that everthing was fine, while I was in so much pain I could not even chew food, because she failed to do a simple filling correctly. And it only took a good dentist 3 minutes to see what she did wrong, and 15 minutes to fix it. So I cannot recommend anyone going here. Maybe just for a cleaning, but not any actual dental work. I would not trust it. Instead, I highly suggest Dr. Blair at Powell Dental as he was quickly able to see what Woodstock Smiles did wrong, and fixed it fast, with zero pain.
