What I like about Dr Vụ is that She invests in the best equipment/technology for her office which allows for the most comfortable and accurate/efficient patient experience. Visit: semi-annual cleaning The front desk people are always friendly and welcoming. The dental hygienist was excellent: she checked several times to make sure I was comfortable, explained what she was doing and why. Offered up a mirror for me to see which area I needed to do a bit more work on when brushing. Gave me a very good tip for flossing in areas that presented an issue. Dr. Vu is extremely knowledgeable in all the latest advances in dentistry. She is very thoughtful and meticulous with individualized patient care. TLDR: Best dental experience I have ever had for preventative exams and cleaning! I've encountered a range of dentists, including several that were scammy up sellers. Nothing but top quality care here. Modern upscale office. Check in was on time and efficient. They use the newest technology for imaging and cleaning. Dr. Casey is excellent! She provided great teaching, cleaned my teeth without destroying my gums, and did not pressure me at all for additional treatments. Pro tip: I learned a few years ago you can actually heal small cavities with good at home care and fluoride. Not everything needs a filling. My mind was blown. Dr. Vu and her staff are nothing short of stellar. We found Wellness Dental in the most random way: my husband had a dental emergency that put him in the hospital as a result of the years of incompetent dental work he had received in the Boston, MA area. His surgeon here in PDX recommended Dr. Vu and we are so grateful to be able to work with her. Talk about a silver lining from an awful situation! Dr. Vu is now our family dentist and my 8 year old son also gets to see her- she is brilliant with him too! She takes the time to patiently show him how to brush and floss correctly and is incredibly thorough and rigorous in her work with all of us. In fact, the whole staff is that way. Unfortunately I've had a fear of dentists most of my life from a couple of bad experiences when I was a kid; I have never felt more at ease with any other dentist. Even the office space is peaceful and comforting. The best dentist I've ever been to, hands down! I've never written a review for a medical professional on yelp, but wanted to get the word out there what a lovely experience it was to visit Dr. Vu's office. First, the reception area + reception staff were lovely! Warm, friendly & welcoming. There was a little area with cozy comforts (tea, coffee & chocolate), which is really nice to have especially since visiting any dentist can be stressful. The office itself is decorated really nicely, and the neighborhood is pleasant. Easy to find, too! The hygenist, Tasha, was wonderful! So thorough, informative & took the time to explain anatomical areas of my mouth & how to clean them carefully & preventatively, listen to all my concerns, health history & was so kind & professional. She also took the time to explain everything she was doing, and the office even provides sunglasses so you aren't blinded by the lights overhead or the dental flashlights! I was also given some extremely helpful flossing tips no dentist or hygienist had ever bothered to explain to me previously. I run a business, so I can tell that no detail was gone unnoticed by everyone! The attention to detail at the office was incredible. Dr. Vu came by & Tasha repeated EVERYTHING I had told her thoroughly & precisely, so I didn't have to repeat it (which is wonderful to feel that heard), and then Dr. Vu carefully did an exam, talked to me about more preventative care with my tooth type, pointed out areas to watch out for in x-rays, and was friendly & precise. She also took the time to check my bite for some tooth sensitivity for previous fillings that were a little tender still, and had advise for long-term tooth care with wear. At the end of my session, I also asked Tanya a few questions about teeth whitening & about a friend of mine who is very stressed around dental visits. Tanya took the time to sympathize over how shaming a lot of dentists can be toward people with periodontal issues, which felt really reassuring. I'd also like to note that all of the care felt very grounded, not too over the top touchy. Additionally, I paid out of pocket & the prices were some of the most reasonable I could find.
