Having been Completely dumbfounded by the online experience trying to Research and buy a mattress and frame. So I made the plunge and walked into this store at 5:45pm which was completely void of people. The person behind the desk didn't even budge and asked how he could help me? Honestly, I'd really like a chocolate thick shake, but I purposefully entered a mattress store. My reply was yes , my movers are coming tomorrow and I have no mattress or frame to sleep on. So I need to buy. His reply was sorry we don't allow dogs on premise!! Once Again dumbfounded, did he ask me if she was a service dog no he did not, nor did I offer as my service dog Mabel is the most intuitive living thing I've ever met and she did not get positive vibes from whoever this guy was. I just didn't about face and left never to enter again to spend my 45 $6000 somewhere else you should know management should know that this guy cost you more in sales than he probably does in sales. Don't do it. I wanted to come in and check out some beds, actually lie on them, etc. Seems reasonable, right? I really liked this one Sealy bed, so I went ahead and purchased it. I got a free adjustable base! What's not to like! It turns, a lot. The salesman was nice enough, but, y'know, he's a salesman. His name is Bob. I'll come back to him. The bed got delivered like a week later. It was... not the bed I fell in love with. I don't know how it was different, but it was. Just not comfortable. I don't know why. It was a Hybrid 100 Series. In the store, I loved it. In my house, I didn't. I don't know why. So I waited the 30 days and I call to do a return. The woman says to come in and they'll set it up. But it turns out, that free adjustable base is not refundable, and the full cost will come out of the bed. So bam, that's a cool $700 I won't be getting back. Plus I'm sure the $99 restocking fee, plus whatever other hidden fees. I'd be shocked if I got back more than $500 on a $1499 mattress. The woman on the phone was like, "Did Bob tell you the cost of the adjustable base comes off the return price?" No, ma'am, he did not. "Did you even read the receipt?" Hahaha cool yeah your deceptive business practices are my fault, not yours. Got it. Anyway. Don't do it. They use shady business practices and if you don't love the bed, they're gonna damn well screw you over if you try to return it. If you do love it, great, no worries, then. My fault. I should've known better. But don't shop here. Save yourself the money. Buy something online or shop local at a store with people you can actually trust/like. My husband and I went to Mattress Firm and was immediately greeted by Winston. He was a pleasant salesman, never at all pushy. He asked about our sleeping habits, listened to our needs and directed us to a few mattresses in different price ranges that would provide the best sleep for us. Went to the North Haven CT store, the salesman was very helpful. First 2 mattresses I wanted were not in-stock, however they gave me a great deal on another more expensive mattress. I was told it would take a couple weeks and I agreed. I was told I would get it on Sept 9th, and got an email 2 days prior it would come on Sept 8th, that was confusing,, it ended coming on the 9th. I also paid for the "Platinum Delivery" My opinion there was nothing "Platinum" about it. All they will do is take away old mattress and carry new one in. I also got a adjustable platform. Delivery guys would not touch my existing bed to set up my new adjustable platform. They left that very heavy platform in my room, Not set-up. It was so heavy, I couldn't move it. It takes atleast 2 strong people to set-up. I called the store and was able to get a manager involved from another location. I explained my disappointment and they did apologize and gave me a credit for the Delivery. Beware! Your on your own once that new stuff arrives, a crappy policy will not allow them to touch your existing bed, bed frame, or anything else in your home. Overall I'm satisfied, just disappointed I wasn't made aware. The Delivery is subpar for the very expensive price tag. Full disclosure, they did apologize and did give me a credit. It would have been nice if they gave me a follow up phone and asked If my situation had been resolved. I waiting until 430 the next day and I called the district manager at another location. I asked him how they help elderly or handicap customers, he said and I quote "they need to make arrangements before hand" that would be nice to know at the time of purchase... good luck. My husband and I went shopping for mattresses and after checking out a few other places we went to Sleepy's shop around. We walked in around 7:00pm on a weekday, the door chimes went off and no one was in the store to greet us. We figured perhaps the salesperson was in the bathroom or had to get something in back so we started walking around, laying on mattresses, talking loudly, etc. After 20 minutes of waiting, talking loudly and making noises, NO ONE CAME OUT! We finally gave up and walked out. How does a place plan on making money if no one is there to sell anything? We could have walked out with pillows and comforters and no one would have stopped us! We immediately returned to another place more locally owned that gave us amazing service and bought from them. We should have known to avoid a big chain. Non-existent customer service aside, we also didn't like that prices weren't visible on all models making it obvious that they probably use tricks when its time for a sale. read more

This is why people buy mattresses online now. Pete the store manager is the dictionary definition of a overly pushy salesman. Upon entering the store, we made is perfectly clear we were just starting our search for a new mattress and were unsure of what we were looking for, we wanted to really take our time deciding and doing research. I think he took that as a challenge. Though he was helpful in figuring out what mattress might best suite us, everytime he tried to give us "a deal of the lifetime" we told him we were not ready to commit yet. We take our time with big purchases, go to different stores, compare pricing; things most people do. The issue was not the price, we were NOT ready to buy a mattress on our first stop! Now having been able to shop around, I can tell you there are other options with better pricing and a better, less hassled customer experience than this place. read more

Please DO NOT buy a mattress at Sleepy's. My 80 year old mother spent a few thousand dollars she does not have for a bed that immediately sagged. They sent someone with a measuring tape to see how deep the dip in the mattress was and said she didn't meet the requirements for a replacement mattress. What a joke. Went in looking for new mattress . Was greeted By Mr Peter Conte as soon as we walked into store. Explained what our needs were. We were shown many different options open to us.
