What can I say? Honestly, this was one of the best purchasing experiences I have ever had. The customer service is top notch really and truly. Mariah was SO knowledgeable and so patient through the entire experience. She really made it a point to lay out all the facts and give me all the details which truly made the whole process so easy. On top of that she never pressured us to buy or made us feel bad for not being able to purchase day off despite how much time she spent with us. She just made sure we knew that she was available when we needed her. That was two weeks ago. After having a sealy posturpedic mattress for over 28 years and when the sofa is more comfortable than the bed we should look to invest into a great new bed. Sad but unfortunately very true. After shopping at the nearby Home Goods store we thought we stop and check in to see and feel what they had to offer. Honestly my plan was to simply read reviews and buy from the big box membership store. We stopped in the check out what they had to offer and Sandy helped us out after taking care of another customer. I would have to say I was actually very amazed at her knowledge of bedding and the industry. I can't say enough good things about the service at Mattress Firm in Poway! Our old mattress was 13 years old, and after rotating it, it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. It was a bit if a sticker shock to see good mattress prices, but honestly we will use it every night for several years! Our sleep expert Mariah was so patient with us trying out several beds. We didn't want to order one unless we tried it, so buying online was out of the question. After discussing it over lunch, we decided on a mattress that would make us both happy. A few days later we decided to pay for a set up fee - the delivery people at Rubios Delivery were a few minutes early, took the old one away, and set the new one up. So fast, polite and efficient! We could have struggled to take a Cal King upstairs, but I'm so glad we paid the extra fee - well worth it! read more

My husband and I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Poways Mattress firm. We've been looking for furniture for a while and we knew we wanted a tempur pedic. We tried out Ashley and jeromes and a few other places and we're so sick of getting hounded down by the hungry salesmen looking for their next commission. Then we went to Mattress Firm and the manager Daren, was great he introduced himself gave his pitch and moved on essentially he didn't sit their hounded us. Which we're buying a mattress obviously people don't want you talking to them while they are trying to envision themselves sleeping on something that cost $4,000! So Daren we'll done! Brandon showed us every mattress in the store and explained the difference and pros/cons of each. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient as he let us try each mattress multiple times. I recently went into the brand new Mattress Firm in Poway and was blown away by Jesse. He was very personable and knows his stuff. He was patient with my many visits to the store when I was shopping around and never made me feel like I was wasting his time. He truly cared that I found the perfect mattress. After trying many mattresses not only at the this store but others I went with the Chattam and Wells Olivia Queen Size. The reason I chose this mattress over the others is the fine quality and attention to detail in this luxury handmade mattress. I also felt that it will last longer than others based on the quality. The other reason I purchased this higher priced mattress is simply the fact the Labor Day sale that is going on right now allows me to purchase this mattress within the budget my wife and I set. If it wasn't for the current sale they are having I would have had to look at a different mattress quality level. We received our mattress yesterday and the delivery process was smooth. The only concern I have at this time is that the mattress is firmer than it was in the store. Jesse did tell me that may be the case and that I need to give it about 30 days to allow the mattress to loosen up and adjust so hopefully in 30 days I will have the perfect mattress that will last 10+ years. If not then I will see how the 120 day sleep guarantee process Mattress Firm offers goes. Based on my experience working with Jesse I feel confident that if by chance the mattress turns out to not be the perfect one he will do whatever he can to help me find a mattress that my wife and I will enjoy for years to come. My initial experience buying my mattress was extremely pleasant working with Sarah Lockhart. I bought two mattresses for my sons bunk beds and they are great. I had a pleasant experience picking one of them up at the warehouse. However, when I went in to pick up the second mattress a week later, the man who was "helping" me was extremely unprofessional. I bought memory foam mattresses, which Sara said I could easily transport in the front seat of my car as she had a Mini Cooper and it fit in the front seat of hers; therefore I did not pay for shipping. When I arrived, I called and asked the man if by any chance he could bring the box outside because I had my two young sons in the car. He said he could not because I needed to sign and he was the only one managing the store at the moment. No problem. I went inside and signed and he helped me bring the box outside. He tried to fit the box in my trunk, but it did not fit. I told him that the man at the warehouse took it out of the box and put it in my front seat (a double size mattress, this one was a twin). The man made excuses saying that he couldn't do that because he was the only one in the store (there were absolutely no customers it was 12:00 on a Tuesday) and that if he opened the box the bed would expand. He was going to walk back into the store with half of a box hanging out of my trunk. I asked what I should do with the box and he made some snarky remarks about me not paying for shipping and that not being his job. I asked for the managers number and he said he was the store manager. I asked for his supervisors number and he said he couldn't give that out (I have never heard of this policy before). I told him that the amount of time he spent arguing with me, he could have opened the box and been back inside. He eventually gave in and rudely and aggressively opened the box and put it in the front seat. I could not believe the lack of professionalism and the fight he put up to open a box. read more
