UPDATE: I called the store again and was told the associate I worked with on the late weekday shift to reschedule my delivery was a part-time new employee. In speaking with Alan, he is working to get my mattress delivered and was quick and helpful. I will update the review, once the mattress is delivered. 10/15/19 I have attached a photo of the review I already wrote to mattress firm but was told couldn't be published because store read it and didn't feel it "reflected its values." Had I known it's reviews were monitored by the store I wouldn't have made the purchase I did. The purchase process itself was standard sales (salesman convincing you to buy more than you want, it taking a long time, him "discounting" yet you paying more than you ever wanted), while I will say the store itself was dealing with a weird leak on the second floor that made walking around unpleasant. My gripe is more with the delivery process and the customer service. I was told my delivery window the night before and called the store to tell them timing was incompatible in the middle of the day. The associate canceled my delivery (which I previously had to clear with my building) and when I asked to get it back he couldn't. When I asked how we could resolve this issue he told me I didn't pay enough for the mattress and asked why I didn't have anyone that could receive the mattress for me. I called headquarters and they suspiciously don't have any humans available to answer the phone and the chat feature was a "human" who directed me back to the store. At this point, I've paid a lot for a mattress and it's unclear when I will receive it. read more

This place is a scam, purchased a mattress topper online and they are saying they dont take any returns. Opened the item and used it under sheets for less than a couple hours caused me extreme lower back pain and the topper provided no support at all. They are now stating that they do not offer returns on any accessories. Would never have made the purchase if they hd disclosed this clearly in advance. Horrible company. read more

9/21 UPDATE: To their credit, they had the COI ready minutes on Thursday before their delivery people arrived with a mattress today. Admittedly, it was also invalid the second time -- listing worker's comp insurance that expired months ago. They at least honored their discount policy, and are refunding the $180 price difference between what they charged, and the price I could find on 1-800-MATTRESS (since I was minutes away from canceling the order and going elsewhere). 9/20 REVIEW: It was hard not to be impressed with Derek as an in-person salesperson, but that's about the only asset this store has. I've wasted hours simply trying to get a mattress delivered a few blocks away from the store. I would *NEVER* do business here again. 8 days, 2 reschedules and countless wasted hours since my dropping $1,000+ at this store, Mattress Firm has yet to produce a valid COI for my condo building, or to deliver the mattress I paid for. My neck hurts every night because I'm sleeping on a cheap air mattress. When I call their corporate HQ for questions, they put you on hold for 20+ minutes. The problem with this store is that they don't take accountability to their customers. * When I was rescheduling delivery to the THIRD date (T+13 days and counting), the worker literally could not commit that the paperwork would be ready by that date, or provide a specific date that it would be ready by. * Derek is nice in person, but my e-mails asking to get things fixed have somehow been inexplicably missed or ignored. When I finally visited in person (because the e-mail/phone calls weren't getting anywhere), the promised follow-up call the next day never occurred. Instead, I had a call with a staff member at his store expressing her surprise to me that Derek said I should call around noon, insinuating that he obviously didn't know what he was doing. Gee, that really helped build my confidence that your store was going to fix things up. * Oh, and even though we cancelled tomorrow's delivery (since the COI wasn't ready), I still got a text hours later notifying me of the planned delivery. Finally, the other people who I've spoken with at this store are just yowser-terrible and have no business being in a service role without foundational retraining. Interactions have included: - putting me on hold for 10 minutes without ever explaining why - when I finally blew up and explained how angry I was dealing with this as a customer, her response was (slightly paraphrased) "well, I don't want to be dealing with this either, frankly". read more

I was hit by a car three years ago, and I purchased a new mattress a few months after but was still in extreme pain every night because of the issues in my back. I went to the store and Elon Toker what is the gentleman who help me, and was so empathetic to my situation. He went out of his way to find me an amazing mattress add a fantastic deal you, and I have slept better every night since I got the new mattress than I have in the last three years! Decent place to check out mattresses, but prices are pretty high and the salespeople, although respectful and knowledgeable, are indeed salespeople. Would recommend if you perhaps have back problems and have lots of money to spend. However, my 400 dollar IKEA foam set is good enough for me. read more

We had a weird/unpleasant experience here. We walked in and told the guy we were looking for a mattress and hoped to buy one today. I said we were interested in a Tempurpedic and he said he had them...which...they don't? Everything was fine, we were thoroughly testing out some models and going back and forth. We didn't really find one we *loved* and said we were going to another place a block away to test out some more. First the guy says "I can tell you what they have..." and then when we still said we wanted to go there he turned to me and said "so you don't need a bed today?". It was SUPER awkward and aggressive. Like, I'm sorry, but do you think that's going to help you sell a bed? I get that these guys probably work on commission (clearly) and are desperate, but no one's gonna want to buy a bed from someone who's so pushy. We took pictures of the models we were interested in case we wanted to come back and try them again and there was another awkward interaction in which I asked for the information about a bed and he...weirdly wouldn't tell me the details?? Anyway, we left this place a bit disgruntled and decided that no matter what we certainly weren't buying our bed from there. We went to the other place a block away (Long's) and found a bed in about 15 minutes without anyone pushing an agenda or attitude on us. read more
