The…read moreowner just called me and called me a liar and told me we don't deal with liars before telling me they will be refunding all my money, then hung up on me. I will be calling the better business bureau on Monday. Here is what happened: We bought a couch on 9/1 labor day weekend. We liked the couch but not the color of the couch. They told us it came in a different color so we asked to see it. They showed us the catalog. We checked that paperwork multiple times and asked about the color being different. They were trying to get out of there and I guess during their haste they made a mistake with the financing instead of 18 months which they agreed upon they put 12 months. They messed up the financing and so we walked out without that paperwork today. I had to go back a week later to sign the paperwork over again. They told me that they would have it all ready but I spent a good 30 minutes or more in the store waiting for the paperwork that day. At this point no one had given me a delivery window yet, so I inquired about it again because usually furniture stores give you a round about window. They just said someone would call me when it comes in. I had to call the store multiple times to try and get someone on the line to find out about delivery. Fast forward to the week of 10/15 or 10/16 someone calls me (this is after I called them that Monday inquiring about it again) and asks about a good day to deliver. I decide on a delivery date of 10/19. So I pay the people who are bringing the furniture to take away the old furniture. They disassembled it and took it out before bringing the new furniture up. When they start to bring the new furniture up I immediately notice it is the color of the one at the store and not a darker color like we wanted and were told multiple times we are getting. So now we are left with nothing. When the store opens at 10:15 I call the number back that called me to do the delivery. She asked why I didn't just keep the furniture they had until the new one came in and I said I didn't even know that was an option. So then she says someone is going to call me back but sounded like she wasn't sure when. So my partner stopped at the store on the way home and spent over an hour there again trying to figure out the situation. Apparently that couch doesn't come in a darker color, not sure what we saw in that catalog that day and thought we were getting but I am being sent a picture of something similar in a different color from my partner. She was apparently smiling and really friendly, which is part of being a decent human. So since she was a decent human being and accepted that we are in this they used this against me when I tried to call talking about how I was dissatisfied I was with this whole situation and how I was upset that they couldn't even bring us a loaner couch today. So he called the store and talked to the employees who I guess said she was completely happy when she walked out of there. Just because someone is smiling doesn't equate to happy. So he called me back accusing me of being a liar, and then asked if I was calling his employee a liar, then stated we don't do business with liars I am canceling your order and giving you all your money back. Don't do it. Don't go through this furniture place the owner is a nut job who obviously shouldn't be in sales. I would never treat people this way, but who knows maybe it's because I am a woman with another woman so maybe he just targeted us for this.

We were greeted in a warm and friendly and un-aggressive fashion, given a short spiel about the location of various types of furniture, and asked if we needed help looking for anything in particular. We were then left alone for some time, and politely checked in on an appropriate and respectful amount of time later, with obviously sincere interest in making sure we were getting the exact amount of help we wanted. That's a salesperson who knows her products are of sufficient quality to sell themselves. I'll be back when I've finished measuring my basement and budgeting the several thousand dollars I want to spend, because this establishment has absolutely won my business.

The sales person i worked with (Wayne Chen) was fantastic. The DM he spoke to (I dont know his…read morename) however was terrible. The DM told the sales person that it was ok to give me free shipping on my mattress order (i was with the sales person when he made the call). Wayne told the DM on the phone that he would call him back in a few minutes to complete the transaction and take the shipping fee off. After i agreed to the pricing and free shipping we went through the finance process and got approved and the final step was to have the DM that Wayne spoke to earlier to remove the shipping fee. Well he went missing and could not be reached. And when Wayne contacted another manager/DM by phone he was told that he could not give free shipping. So now the sales person was caught in the middle and he was saying that i would have to pay for the shipping or cancel the whole order. I could see that Wayne was frustrated with the DM and so was I. We just spent 20 minutes setting up the order and applying for finance and now the DM would not agree to free shipping even though that was the original offer. In the end the Wayne said he could split the cost of the shipping with me since it would come out of his pocket. So he paid $50 and I paid $50. I was not happy that the DM changed their mind after we moved forward with the purchase. Not a great experience. Wayne was great and was patient but whoever the DM is, he was terrible and i felt like the DM scammed me and Wayne into paying for shipping for the purchase by saying he would give free shipping and then changing his mind after i applied and got the finance. I will think twice before coming back again and tell my friends about my experience. Wayne was great though and that is why i completed my transaction. Wayne and i split the shipping cost or else i would have to cancel my order and not have a bed for my Mother.

Instead of leaving Mattress Firm with shopper's guilt, I left feeling fully satisfied with my items. Shahnaz was personable, answered all of my questions, and I felt like she had my best interest at heart. "No," she replied, "we've been here for five years." There's no reason this store should be a secret. Yes, I'm well aware the when it comes to furniture, it's not uncommon to see several derivities of the same design at different stores. I was greeted by Jack, who runs the place, and he kindly asked us what we were looking for in a bed. He was very polite and didn't rush for us to purchase anything. He even asked me to pull out my phone and research/check prices online in front of him so I felt comfortable with what he was saying. At another mattress store, we felt pressured whenever we pulled out our phones but it was a relief he encouraged us to do so. He also explained to us how he is able to charge low prices on their mattresses vs other competitors. The pricing there is phenomenal, the bed we purchased was nearly 85% off the MSRP. He had a printout of a competitor's pricing with the name crossed out but we were able to see where it was. At another mattress store, a comparable beauty rest black was being sold 3x more than it was here. The only draw back here is that they don't offer any 100 day trial since they are not a distributor/dealer. But we didn't care for that too much since we have tried multiple beds already and knew what we wanted. He did mention that the eclipse beds (they are a distributor) have a 15 year warranty. He was also kind enough to give us additional discounts as we purchased pillows and covers as well. All in all, stop by here before visiting the big mattress stores.

(We came in late and he also helped us load the mattress) The knowledge that he possessed was immeasurable regarding the products that he was selling, he knew what the fabrics were made of and how it would affect the sleeping habits. I would recommend coming here not only due the fact that you would be able to attain the best attitude customer service, but you will also be able to bring home the mattress of your hearts desire the same day, unlike those other big mattress companies, who not only charges you extra but also expects you to either go to their warehouse or pay an exorbitant price to get it delivered to your location.
