Don't take the add-ons We got a mattress from this place. It was expensive, but it was comfy. My brother-in-law still comments on how comfortable that weekend was. It's a nice mattress. You go into a mattress place, you order a mattress, and they deliver it to you. That's how it works. But that's not all. They also try to sell you other stuff. They had some sheets. They were $45 sheets, but they were on sale for $15. We were stupid, and we took the bait. Go ahead and laugh at me. I'm being honest here and sharing this so as to warn people. But we could have gotten better sheets than that for $5. I have no reservations about going to this place (except for the other reviews - Heavens to Betsy). But just get the mattress, and get the sheets, mattress protector and pillows somewhere else. read more

We just purchased a new king bed from Mattress set and have to give high marks to the two gentlemen who sold us our new bed. We arrived in the store and was given the sleep test to determine the best mattress for our needs. No sales pressure at all. We were shown several mattress and loved the Serta i Cloud Observer. We purchased the mattress and temper up foundation. 11/4/16 We have received our delivery and have a major problem and have not been able to get this resolved. The store manager was not able to assist and gave us the district manager info. We have tried to reach him for three days and no response. The DM voice mail says I will call you back in 24 hrs or sooner yet no response. We are now trying to reach a regional manager or someone that can assist us in resolving this matter. I'm afraid I would not be able to recommend this company at this time. I'm hoping we can work this out and I can return to my original recommendation. We can not use the foundation they delivered... if we sat up in the bed we would touch the ceiling fan. Poor customer service!! 11/19/16 The District Mgr "Chad" never returned our call. We called several more times and even the Customer Service assistant sent two emails requesting Chad to call us. Never heard from him or anyone from Mattress Warehouse. We went to Ashley Furniture and found that Mattress Warehouse sold and delivered the old version of the Temper Up foundation that is very wide and made it impossible to use with our king bed with drawers. We told the sales staff we had a bed with headboard and footboard with drawers and trusted them to sell us the right bedding. Little did we know they sold us the wrong foundation. They sold us the old model. The current model is very thin and would have been a perfect fit. They refused to take it back or swap it for the correct foundation and we never heard from the store District Manager "Chad" or anyone else from Mattress Warehouse My last words on this matter is DO NOT PURCHASE FROM MATTRESS WAREHOUSE ON LIBERIA RD MANASSAS. They do not know what they are selling. I feel bad for the sales guys trying to make a living but we definitely got the ripped off. Not only did we find out the foundation was an older model, the pricing was much higher than sold at Ashley. Ashley sales staff said we would have gotten the thin foundation with the head and foot motion and been much much less. The foundation was a def $1400 mistake from Mattesss Warehouse. We still love the mattress but it would have been $100 cheaper at Ashley. Do your homework before buying and don't go to Manassas Liberia Mattress Warehouses. read more

Very happy with my visit at Mattress warehouse today. The sales person was very helpful, he knew a lot of information about each bed and the materials about each one. And helped me and my girlfriend get the best bed designed for our specific sleeping position and within our budget. Let me preface this by saying that this could have started out as a 3-star review... and might have, if not for the customer service. I'll also add that I should have read the previous review before we even considered shopping here. Now, I'd go with a half-star if I could. With that, I'll jump right in. My wife and mother recently purchased two new mattresses from this MW store in Manassas. They tried out the mattress in the store, made the purchase, and we waited for delivery. The big day came, and the gents in the delivery truck were great. In, out, and very polite. I signed for the mattress and off they went (sidebar: these two were the most polite employees I've worked with in the whole Mattress Debacle as of the time I write this - and the most efficient!). When I told my wife the mattress had been delivered, she told me about the buying experience she and our mother (as well as our young child) had. Turns out one of the sales associates had some difficulty with the cash register/computer, at which point he began unleashing an expletive-filled tirade, while another told them that since he worked on commission, and by trying to find a lower price, they were effectively taking food out of his family's mouth (How unprofessional IS that?!). Still, I thought, as long as we had a comfy mattress, all could be forgiven... right? Except that the mattress wasn't comfy. In fact, over the last 12 years in the military, I've slept on all sorts of things, from the muddy ground, sandbags filled with dried mud, airplane floorboards and inside/on top of armored vehicles. This mattress rivaled the hardest of them all! My wife woke me up no less than six times throughout the first night to tell me how much she hated the mattress, and how much harder it was than the model they tested in the store (a cheap sales ploy to get rid of shoddy inventory, I wonder?) Still, I probably would have slept if she hadn't woken me, albeit uncomfortably. As it was, I woke up in excruciating pain, which only seemed to get better the longer I was away from the mattress. This was on Saturday... And here's where we go from a 3-star review to a sub-1 star review. Wednesday morning, I went into the store we purchased it from, and asked the lone associate in the store about refunding/exchanging it (one of the same guys from my wife's experience). His immediate reply was that every mattress has a break-in period, and that they ask folks to give the mattress 30 days before trying to return them, and, if by day 31 they aren't happy, to go ahead and come on back. Well, I've already told you about the level of discomfort my wife and I were in after the past few nights. I told the sales associate the same thing, and he said he simply couldn't do any more without speaking to the District Manager. So, I told him, I'd wait. He made his call, explaining that I was "demanding" such and such, and that "[he'd] already explained that to [me]". He gets off the phone and says he's been authorized to go ahead and let me swap after 14 days, instead of the usual month (Well! Gee whiz, MW, you shouldn't have!) I told him this was completely unacceptable! What is this, buying a car? I shouldn't have to play back-and-forth games to swap something so godawfully wrong for us. I asked for the District Manager's contact information - he couldn't give me his cell number (duh), but gave me the "substitute" DM's information, and I left. --Cue shoddier customer service-- After calling the DM, and leaving a message (no call back as of this writing), I ended up getting hold of the "returns/exchanges" department. Except there are no returns, they'll tell you. It's clearly written there on the back of the receipt! But, they are gracious enough to allow you to do a one-time "comfort exchange", paying all applicable fees and the difference in price (that last part, at least, I expected. I'm not unreasonable after all.). I told her I appreciated her place in the middle of this, but that's not the right answer, and I'd like to speak with someone who can make a difference. Still, at this point, I have very little reason to think that any mattress we try in the store will be any better. I manage to leave a message for the Regional Manager, who also has yet to return my call. I did, however, get a call from another associate (new to this experience) at the store, who was the most professional of the bunch (on par, perhaps with the excellent delivery guys), informing me that Customer Service had authorized them to let me exchanged the mattress without delay - no doubt because I wrote them the same story I relay here). Yet, as I made it clear to the associate who called back, we are still completely dissatisfied with the product, have had a less-than-adequate response from the company, and haven't even received a direct response from anyone I've reached out to about this.
