In the middle of the biggest headache!!! Purchased an extremely expensive split King adjustable temperpedic frame and bed. 1st Bed delivered. One side didn't work. They made me refuse the delivery. They also forgot the pillows that were supposed to be delivered. During the process, they took a piece that connected the two pieces together. 2nd replacement bed delivered. It was missing the piece, was on phone it's management and they said (after minutes of arguing my situation) said I didn't have to refuse bed and part will be coming and replaced tomorrow. Now, days later, I've been dealing with the distribution and manager which is saying the part doesnt exist or even if it does isn't needed. So frustrated. I just physically go to store, sales rep got on the phone with temperpedic customer service to confirm the piece exists, and is needed for the bed. The only sympathetic person that helped me was Ali. He actually listened and tried to help. But the company as whole was extremely including district manager and VP Mike Brown have all but ignored or not cared about this incident. Having a bed with an 8 month wife with it coming apart Still waiting on this to be resolved. 9/21. read more

Mike was very helpful and guided us to the best mattress for us. They were having a "sale" so we came in at the perfect time. Make sure to do your homework while in the store. We got a great deal based on their prices but it was identical to what it would have cost online. If we find a better price they have a guarantee that they will match it and give you 50% of the difference. So we feel very confident that we got a good price. I wish there was some music so it wasn't so quiet in there. It wasn't busy but if it had been there was only Mike working so if we would have had to wait a long time for service we probably would have left. I'm glad we didn't!! read more

I haven't shopped for a used car in a very long while, so I've forgotten how awful a sales process can get. This place is disgusting. First, they have you lie on a mattress while watching a commercial ("BedMatch"). They tell you that the mattress is sensing your body weight to try to match you with the best mattress for you. This is completely untrue. The only reason for having you lie there is to watch the commercial and have you feeling more invested as you spend more time there. Part of the commercial lists a series of diseases tied to poor sleep, including cancer. The implication is that, you don't know how to pick your mattress--our computer does. If you don't go with our computer, you will get cancer. I am desperately searching LinkedIn to try to figure out which marketing hole in Corporate came up with this pile of garbage. The computer spits out 7-8 suggestions for bed matches, which the salesperson conveniently doesn't look at. Obviously. Because it's nonsense. I insisted on seeing the list. None of the beds on the list were comfortable. That was a waste of 15 minutes of my time. My guess is those were the mattresses with the best gross margins. The ceiling (which you look at a lot as you're picking mattresses) is cracked, water damaged, moldy, and lit with 1980s era fluorescent lights. The price on the mattress was discounted arbitrarily. He gave us a lower number than on the label and wrote it down on his card. Obviously, this is a sale that is just this weekend! He could get it delivered on Monday! He offered up speaking to the manager if a further discount would make the sale, though my guess is there is no manager... the two employees go to one another to waste your time before lowering the price, like in used cars. I would only recommend coming here if you're doing some sort of documentary on the process. If it wasn't so shockingly awful, it could almost be entertaining. read more

I stopped by mattress warehouse on a Sunday about an hour before closing and was greeted by Paul. He was already helping a couple, but was more than happy to help me at the same time. First, I laid on the bed matching bed that tells you to lay in different positions and asks you questions about your habits in bed. It prints out a paper with a few different options (not sure why other reviews said 7-8 but it is pretty specific). Then Paul was able to show me 3 different beds that matched what I was looking for. I let him know my budget and he did an amazing job sticking to that without sacrificing quality in terms of the mattress. After trying out the mattresses I told Paul I would return the following day to purchase. The next day I was unable to make the drive from Sterling to Tysons, so he was more than happy to do the transaction over the phone. We went through the payment and delivery process seamlessly - I walked in with a budget and completed my purchase under budget and very happy with my new mattress. In addition to my super easy mattress purchase, I would like to make a point of how kind and professional Paul is. He was happy to hear my concerns and questions and made an effort to show me different options and worked with my needs. I will write a follow up review after my mattress is delivered, but I cannot stress enough how strongly I would recommend Paul and this mattress warehouse location. I checked out many other bed places before and after meeting Paul and no other service met his professionalism and attentiveness to customer needs. read more

One star is far too generous for both Mattress Warehouse and for Serta! I purchased a Serta Regard FM-Q mattress on 7/13/12 at Mattress Warehouse, 1986 Chain Bridge Road, McLean, VA 22102 for $1,628 (plus tax). By October the mattress was sagging under my body and my wife's body. It was difficult to sleep without getting a back ache. After 6 months of back and forth, Mattress Warehouse says that the mattress is not defective since it only sags when weight is placed upon it. That's like saying that the air conditioning is fine since the home is only uncomfortable on warm days or the car is fine because it only fails to perform if you try to drive it! Dashka, at the store where I purchased the mattress, gave me a phone number to call at Serta. After leaving several messages and getting no response I finally reached a real person who gave me a different number to call. I called that number several times and no one ever answered or responded to my messages. Serta has ignored all my phone calls. I would not buy any mattress from Mattress Warehouse, again. I would never buy a Serta from anybody. read more

I just moved to VA and was looking to buy few mattresses for my house. Luckily I went there with my friend who bought a $10k matress with them back in march. Since then they never delivered it and kept asking him for more money although he already paid and has a reciept. He spoke with so many people there and everytime they change their word. They keep changing the extra money they claim he has to pay. After that he even tried to resolve it but they kept increasing the amount. All of that time their staff were so rude and finally they stopped answering his calls. He is going to sue them for their wrong advertisement and for refusing to deliver the paid merchandize. All of the reviews suggest asking for Mike, but I'm here to say Xavier is just as much of a professional. We walked in with a warm greeting and proceeded to help us with what our goal was - to find a new mattress. He asked us if we knew our comfort level and we didn't. So he took us over to what I think was the best part of the store, their Bed Match technology which uses science to determine the right bed for your preferred sleep style. It prints out a report with the suggested mattresses and he took us to the first one (which we ended up getting in the end) which was absolutely heavenly. He respected our budget and didn't pressure us into any high sale bargain but the mattresses did the talking and it only made sense to invest in something we were going to be using for many years of our lives. He was very considerate with us making the purchase and the financing options were too good to pass up. We came into this store looking for a new mattress because my old one was too short for me. As the mattress I had was bought for me while I was still in the cradle, I didn't know much about picking out the right mattress for me. Thankfully, I didn't have to. They had this machine hooked up to a mattress. You would lay down on the mattress and it would collect a ton of data points on things like how soft/firm it should be, how supportive it should be, and how long it should be, among other things. I ended up getting a Kingsdown Mattress, which felt like the perfect fit. Mr. Mason and the store's manager helped us out with our purchase and ended up cutting us a really great deal. Perhaps Sleepy's has an exclusive deal with Serta, but I couldn't discern any differences in the mattresses. Unlike Sleepy's, Mattress Warehouse was willing to negotiate and made it easy - one price for mattress, box spring, frame, delivery, and tax. There were no surprise add-ons when it came time to swipe the credit card, which I really appreciated. Everything was delivered on time and in good condition.
