I purchased their top of the line king bed with an adjustable base. I was told there would be no problems getting the bed up my stairs, I confirmed multiple times. The movers that Tempurpedic hired showed up with the bed and said it won't fit, and they had to take it back, and that only a split king would fit up my stairs. Incredibly disappointing, after I had waited a few weeks without a bed for this one to be delivered. I called the store to speak with the manager to get the order sorted out and exchange my order from a king to a split king. Because the delivery issue was their fault, I asked if they would be able to extend any sort of discount on the upcharge (I was upsold on the $5,200 king with the adjustable base in the first place). They had enough of my money and their error had created a huge hassle for me. I had to take off work to be home for the delivery, and I was without a bed for a month. When I am spending several thousand dollars on a bed, I expect some level of apology or customer service. When I spoke with the manager of the Tysons Corner store, not only did she not apologize, but she argued with me and told me that couldn't have been what happened. Luckily, the movers documented everything (I'm sure so they wouldn't get in trouble for not delivering the mattress), and validated exactly the story I relayed. The manager told me verbatim "I am 4000% sure I cannot provide any discount or add-on's to this order upgrade, because I know the bed would fit." For the record, these are the movers that THEY hired to move it in, and they told me it couldn't happen. After she confirmed she wouldn't help me, I asked her point blank "So in short there is nothing you are willing to do to help me?" she yelled (yes, yelled!) at me and said "I will call the movers to see what happened and call you back." No apology, nothing about making sure I end up with a bed ASAP. Meanwhile, I had explained what happened with the movers, and the movers confirmed it as well. I never got a call back from her. It has been 2 weeks. I had to call the Tempurpedic 800-line to get assistance. They confirmed everything that had happened as I explained, assisted me, discounted the upgrade for the inconvenience, and rush-delivered my new bed. Exactly what the Tysons Corner manager should have done in the first place rather than saying "I'm 4000% sure there's nothing I can do to help you". I now have a bed NO thanks to the Tysons Corner store manager who was willing to do nothing but sweep this under the rug and let my bed sit in a warehouse. I think Tempurpedic makes a quality product, but I urge you to not take your business to this particular store. I have never been treated so badly by a premium retailer. If there is ANYTHING wrong with your order and it requires any updates, the Tysons Corner store manager will fight you tooth and nail not to help you.
