It was missing the piece, was on phone it's management and they said (after minutes of arguing my situation) said I didn't have to refuse bed and part will be coming and replaced tomorrow. Now, days later, I've been dealing with the distribution and manager which is saying the part doesnt exist or even if it does isn't needed. So frustrated. I just physically go to store, sales rep got on the phone with temperpedic customer service to confirm the piece exists, and is needed for the bed. The only sympathetic person that helped me was Ali. He actually listened and tried to help. But the company as whole was extremely including district manager and VP Mike Brown have all but ignored or not cared about this incident. However, when the third-party delivery and assembly team arrived, they informed us that the frame and adjustable base were entirely incompatible. The delivery team took the bed frame back and told us to reach out to Sleepare. It took three days for the store manager to return our call, only to inform us that company policy does not allow refunds--only store exchanges. Crucially, this return policy was never provided to us in writing prior to or during the transaction. Expecting a customer to accept store credit for a store-recommended product that is physically incompatible is unreasonable. Delivery Delays Caused by Accounting Errors: We placed our order on July 5th, but delivery was delayed until July 23rd because Sleepare logged all three items we purchased incorrectly under other customers' names. Even after receiving confirmation that the items had arrived at the warehouse, it took over a week of repeated calls and emails from us to get a response and schedule a delivery date. Unfulfilled Items: During the sale, the salesperson strongly pushed an upgraded pillow, adding $90 to our total. This item was never delivered alongside the rest of the order. I purchased two pairs of jeans in different sizes so I could try them on at home, and I applied a $50 gift card to the order. When I returned the pair that didn't fit, Macy's refunded the gift card first and only then refunded the remaining balance to my Macy's card. Because of this, the gift card could no longer be applied to the pair I kept, and I ended up being charged full price on my card. The only reason I bought these expensive jeans in the first place was because I had a gift card to use. This policy makes no sense and feels completely unfair. The manager was not helpful at all. She kept repeating that "the system doesn't allow" any changes to how returns are processed. I would have returned the pair I kept based on this experience alone, but I had already removed the tag. Macy's, your return system protects the gift card--not the customer. You need to do better if you want to keep loyal customers happy.
