Our new mattress was delivered, but the crew refused to take our old mattress and foundation, contrary to what Tarik had told us would happen when we purchased the new set. The installation crew leader was rude, unprofessionally dressed in pajama pants and driving a rental truck, and told us that they could not put the old mattress with into their truck because it had slight staining. He indicated that they were a subcontractor to the store and not employees. You had to look very hard to find a small sweat stain on the mattress, which was their excuse. To make things worse, he then said that they couldn't dispose of the foundation because they only take complete sets of mattresses and foundations. He said that they donate the used mattress to churches, but nothing of this nature was mentioned when we purchased the mattress. Our 12 year old mattress was quite worn out and I can't imaging anyone wanting it - it is ready for the landfill. Basically, we feel that we were lied to by Tarik. Should anything happen that requires a warranty, I no longer trust this store, as my gut feel is they would shirk their responsibility or tell us more lies. We were shopping for two mattresses, but I can tell you that the second certainly won't be purchased from this store.

A while ago, I went to the store and discovered it was by appointment only. I called and explained I was already there, in the parking lot, and would like to come in. Reluctantly, the owner let me make a short-notice appointment and then let me in after a reasonable wait in my car. She let me in with a not very welcoming attitude and brushed off my inquiry as to what I was interested in buying with a flippant items like that are not made anymore. I felt so uncomfortable that I had zero interest in even walking around the store.

The ordering process and following emails informing me of the progress of my order were helpful.... until I checked on delivery. Their "expediter" failed to return my calls from 4 voice mails I left for him. I escalated this issue and got some action on the potential delivery date. In that phone conversation, their concern was expressed of their shortcomings, with a mention of a follow-up email and some consideration to be issued back to me because of the problems encountered. Upon delivery, their "white glove" delivery is just plain, ordinary, and simple delivery. It had been raining the morning of delivery and the two men who arrived had no drop cloths or booties for their shoes. Since I have white/beige carpet in the hallway leading to the bedroom, they did take off their shoes after being asked. They said they aren't provided with that kind of stuff. As they carried out the old box spring they dragged the corner of the box spring on the wood floor in the entryway, living a 12-inch scratch. It's been a few weeks since delivery. As of this writing, there has been no email, no USPS mail, and no credit on my credit card. I do like the mattress! How would you have rated this?
