    Double burger and small fry

Expensive for what is offered. $3 for a sweet tea you fill yourself. $3 for a small fry (pictured). And over $12 for a double burger with a couple options. For two people getting the same thing it was over $38. I'm glad I tested this out before bringing the kids and paying around $20 a person.

As most of you know some of the best food is found in hole-in-the wall spots that you stumble upon. And did we stumbled upon this place while visiting the area. Friendly staff, super clean place large portions! We had breakfast, the biscuits were large, the bacon crispy and the eggs cooked just right. Would recommend a visit! Go give them a try! Bonus - super cute little truck out front!

Had take-out from there and we really enjoyed the smash burgers and the fries are soo good. A little pricey but what isn't these days.

Talk about old school. This was an interesting discovery. There are several buildings including a…read moreFarmers market so I wasn't sure where the restaurant was. I went in the Farmer's Market first. It looks like an old barn. There were lots and lots of homemade choices- "canned" soup bases, fruits, vegetables, salsas, jams, flavored oils to name a few. There were also fresh fruits, nuts, honey, vegetables, dairy products and cakes. There are four areas you can eat. The main "restaurant" is small with only a few tables. Evidently it's a favorite of older local gentlemen to gather for an early breakfast. There is also the "Pig Sty," "The Chicken Coop" and the farmer's market area. Some of these can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer so dress accordingly. The farmer's market area is heated by a wood stove. The staff here are so friendly. It felt like we were visiting family. The food was good ole country food. The hubby and I each ordered the breakfast plate. I had coffee with my choice of several flavored creamers. If you pay in cash you get a discount. If you are in the area you should check it out. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu. Plan to stay a few extra minutes and look around and support local farmers. We brought home some boiled peanuts. Fun experience and good breakfast.

We visit the area a couple of times a year and we are looking for somewhere new (for us) to eat. I…read morehad really hoped that I would leave giving rave reviews of this restaurant, but I just can't do it. The property overlooks the Hartwell Marina, and the front porch is adorable with its rocking chairs and windows to the bar. Inside, it's a deliciously divvy atmosphere with mismatched tables and chairs, high and low ones, and barside seating. They offer live music most (all?) nights that they are open. Always a bonus! I started with a craft cocktail of cucumber something but traded it in for a gin and tonic. My husband ordered his ushe of fried shrimp with onion rings and home fried potato chips. He said the shrimp was good and the onion rings and fried chips were as well. He would not eat the hushpuppies. We both found the outer shell to be tasty, but inside a bit tacky and without much flavor. I ordered grilled grouper which I felt came off the heat just a tad early for my taste. It was fresh enough, though. The green beans I ordered were right out of the can, but the mac & cheese was good. It is not grandmas's homemade fare, but if you like pasta and you like gooey cheese, you'll like this. In general, everything just needed some seasoning and a tweak. My husband ordered a chocolate chip cake which was their dessert offering for the day. It was delicious. Our service was pretty good, and I would give them another try.

I think our server was Cecily (?), but it's been a month so I'm not sure. Some of us came by boat and some by car. Hope to go back the next time we're in Hartwell.
