I still like Besto burgers better! Thought I'd try Whataburger because it's new but I wasn't impressed.

The entrance to the drive thru is ridiculous, took me forever to figure out how to get in. Also the unmarked police car parked in the exit is not the smartest either, the car is in the way. Approximately a 15-20 minute wait.. Customer service was GREAT! But food was lackluster, cold fries and they definitely don't use the same fountain drinks as McDonald's, b/c the Dr. Pepper is not at its best. The food is super delicious. But the drive through takes FOREVER. Like it's hot, I'm hungry, my blood sugar is dropping and my ac is struggling sitting in line for burgers. Why does it take so long? We hopped out and got snacks at the food truck next door to tide us over until we could pull up to the window. I'm not exaggerating. Also they have two lines for the drive through to order but just know if you pull up to the outside one absolutely no one will let you in. Might as well go somewhere else. We got donuts while waiting.‍ Can't say that is an endorsement. So disappointing. When I finally got my food about 15-20 min later it was a cold burger. Maybe it had been made fast but the line didn't go fast enough and the burger got cold? I asked them to remake it by going inside and heard the employee saying "she wants it remade", and this employee was nice, and someone else yelling "WHY?" And then a lot of complaining about it. The food is really good and that's such a conflicting thing because I'm unsure if I'll go back. It ultimately ended up taking about 40ish minutes. Edit to add: some staff was super nice and helpful. One offered me a cup for a drink to help with the low blood sugar because I'm diabetic. And that was considerate, so I grabbed some swallow of sweet tea so I didn't get too dizzy. So thank you to her for understanding that diabetes low blood sugar doesn't wait. Once it starts dropping it's dropping. read more

Love the food. Always prepared well. The design of the drive through seemed awkward. Unfortunately the service was slow, affected by the drive through. They need to improve the speed of their service. Even the inside dinning service was slow. I hope they can improve the speed with their service. Whataburgers in Texas are MUCH faster, perhaps because they're designed better. read more

This a brand new store near us. We were told by a friend that the Whataburger burger was as big as the original Whopper was 40 years ago. We were excited to find out. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The burger was tasty, mind you, but no where near the size of the original Whooper. I don't know what it is but lots or burger places think it's okay to give you a burger on a flat bun. That's how this Whataburger came out. I suspect it happens when they wrap it, or the bun is not fresh. I don't know but giving me a burger that I pay $7 for on a flat bun is not okay. read more

Very disappointed in this restaurant!! Was expecting better but my husband burger meat wasn't done all the way and they didn't get all the toppings he wanted tht was on the order!! The workers didn't greet us!! My avocado bacon burger was just messy!! The avocado was just in the middle!! read more

Happy to see Whataburger open in Anderson, SC. Their burgers are the best! Breakfast is great too.

The food is really good. We have had the hamburgers and breakfast sandwich and they are delicious. The breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg and cheese are Big and really good. You get the buck for your money. Their hash brown sticks are so crispy and good. Give them a try, now that they have settled in. read more

If you gonna have us wait in line for 45min-an hour it's your job to check and make sure the order is right and everything is in the bag.

So disappointed! First, the location and parking is horrible -- why would they put a restaurant where you can't get in easily and getting out is worse. But, the food is awful -- way too much salt on everything, and the burgers were cooked to well, well, well done. The fries were ok, however. Why do they give you numbers to put on the table and then come out an shout the numbers and you have to raise your hand. There were no shakes available. The food is so greasy, you need a napkin after every bite. Kept hearing about how wonderful this place was, and how Anderson was lucky to get one. It was our first and last visit. read more

The wait times in the drivethru breakfast lunch or dinner time is 1+ hour wait............... Then if you order 5meal combos for a family of 5 you can expect a total of about $55+ for that one meal you sat in a miserable line for over a hour for. Listen by the time I wait a hour for a burger that order better be 100% correct. Then the prices are just not low enough for this kind of food. My family will not be going back for awhile due to the prices and the super long wait times. read more
