3 weeks. That's how long these jokers had my daughter's car. And they still didn't fix everything we asked them to. We didn't ask them to rebuild an engine, just fix problems with the secondary air system and stabilitrak. We kept authorizing repairs, and when we called a few days later, they asked us to authorized repairs. Huh? By 2 and 1/2 weeks, we were told on consecutive days that the car was a priority and we would receive calls first thing in the morning. We never did. I had to literally call GM for help. Then I called the police to report a stolen vehicle. At this point, these folks were sending our calls to voicemail. So today we get a call for someone "representing the service manager". Cowards would either not pass our complaints, or the service manager is pure scum. Arrogant tone was neither apologetic nor helpful. Have I expressed how awful these people are? We picked up the car without all repairs being made, and a blower unplugged to make it run. I can't express my frustration enough - avoid them at all costs! read more

They are all about the dollar only. Stay away. It's absolutely not about getting customers the best deal or getting them to come back. They do zero for loyalty. The loan they gave me was up over 11 percent for a used car (that I previously leased). They blamed the fact that it was near an election cycle. I refinanced a few months later at 7 percent. That same car then had an issue with the vacuum pump, and they said we needed to spend "$5000-$9000" to fix a broken engine (resulting from the broken vacuum pump blowing aluminum shards into the engine)... I towed it out to a different repair shop and they fixed it for $1700...and the engine was not broken...more than likely they were trying to get me/us to balk at the cost of the repair and try to get us a crappy deal on a trade in. We have always had good service from Mauer Chev in the past. However, things seemed to have changed. We had our vehicle serviced in Sept last year(2023). We were informed that at our next visit we needed new brakes. We made an appointment for June 18 at 1:00 as they said they needed about 4 hours to replace the brakes. (Vehicle only had 1,000 miles between visits). We did ask to change oil and balance tires as we assumed they would be off the vehicle if they did the brakes. They called us at 3:35 to tell us that they wouldn't be able to replace the brakes in time to return the car around 5. I told the service guy we left it there for 1/2 day so they could change the brakes and he said they had a lot of cars in and I would have to leave it all day to get a brake job. They then charged $95.55 to inspect the brakes! They also told me that the tire needed to be replaced as they were 10 years old and I informed him that we purchased the tires from them less than 7 years ago. Maybe they should be replaced after only 14,000 miles but this indicates they sold old tires in the first place. Then they charged $90 for a rotation and balance even though the rotation should have been free because we purchased the ties from them. Let me tell you about my experience at Maurer Chevrolet. I have a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 Duramax diesel with the check engine light on, I brought it to Mauer Chevrolet and told them it was my brother's vehicle and he had passed away. Subsequently the vehicle had set for a period of 3 months without being ran, The service writer there told me it would not be a problem. They had one of the best diesel technicians in the country working for them. He told me they would call as soon as they had an idea about the problem. My appointment was at 10:00. It's 5:30 I called because I had not heard from them. I was told the technician was still working on the vehicle and it would be tomorrow before the vehicle was ready, 5:00 the next day I had not heard back from them yet so I called again. I was told the problem with the vehicle was that it needed fresh fuel in the batteries needed to be charged, the charge was $190 which I had no problem with, I live 5 mi away. I fueled the vehicle up drove it home and charge the batteries. Within 10 mi of driving the vehicle again the check engine light was back on. Hey again made an appointment at Mauer for 10:00 the next day. I was told they would delve into problem further, again after not hearing from them and the day and a half I called to find their progress I was then told that the vehicle needed a new turbocharger and a map sensor, and the cost of over $6, 000. sounded pretty fishy to me. I also had requested an oil change and the car wash. I told him to finish servicing the vehicle then to button it up as I did not believe they're diagnosis was correct Upon pickup of the vehicle I found the oil had not been changed the vehicle had not been washed and there was an additional charge for $190 which I refuse to pay. I then took the vehicle to a mechanic versed in Duramax diesel for repairs. 3 hours later I was called and told the good news. The vehicle needed one glow plug and a leaking hose. The cost was under $300. Upon returning to Mauer Chevy to discuss their misdiagnosis I was told that my mechanic was all wet. I was told that Maier's mechanic again with the best in the nation and that he could not make a misdiagnosis like this. After a heated 5 minutes debate I left with no satisfaction. So to make a long story short do not deal with mower Chevrolet service department as you will probably end up paying for repairs that are unneeded . Beware beware beware.. read more

I had a 10:30 appointment to have a new battery tray put on. They said it's a 40 minute job. A lot of people were coming and going while I sat there and waited. Finally at 1:00 iwent out and asked if they forgot about my car. He looked around and he found my keys on a desk. Then he said I guess it's done. Horrible service i bought a new Colorado truck had it in 5 times each time they told me it was fixed it never was! They replaced some parts still not fixed i thought i bring it in 1 more time to see if they could figure it out turns out all it was that a bolt on the lower control arm was loose which they said they tightened and they also replaced the control arm which required them to retighten new bolt still not fixed finnaly they figured it out. Horrible service on our lease. I wish I didn't have to give any stars. Our son is learning to drive and backed into the neighbors garbage can, resulting in a cracked tail light cover. We are on our second Traverse lease from Mauer. We called them to ask them to order us a new one so we could come in and have it fixed and they refused to do so without a credit card and said it would take at least 2 months! Asking for a credit card was a little insulting and super shocking - it's an $80 part- what was the worst that was going to happen to them? When my husband didn't just go along with it and called the situation "idiotic" the service person on the phone hung up on him. My husband called back to give the credit card and he said that he talked to the owner and they will no longer do business with us. We still have 18 months left on the current lease, have an illegal to drive car and they refuse to help us? Seriously. Save yourself the trouble. Oil change took almost 1.5 hours to complete which was pretty annoying. But what really made me upset was that almost all of the employees were not wearing masks!!! Most (if not all) of the service employees who actually perform the services or maintenance were, but almost all of the management, salespeople, or clerical staff were not - or they just had them around their neck. I was shocked to see one of the employees (I think he was some sort of manager) come and get me to tell me my car was done and he was not wearing a mask and he was touching my keys and acting like we're not in the middle of a pandemic. Very unsettling, especially as mask wearing is REQUIRED in MN right now. I did not feel like my safety was important to them at all. read more

I'm not one to write reviews, but I had to out this dealership. We were sold a $30,000+ vehicle and noticed issues within a few days. We questioned if they had completed an inspection and they confirmed they had, but we could tell they haven't. We then noticed a few more thing and brought the vehicle into service 2 months after purchase. We were then told that there was $5000+ of repairs that needed to be madevthat was clearly there before our purchase. We believe that this dealer sold us the vehicle and pushed the warranty so that the warranty could cover the repairs they should have discovered during their "160 point inspection." I believe they are scammers.​ We believe they never inspect their vehicles, they push warranties so that they can use the warranty to fix the car after rather before purchase and aat this point I don't belive the vehicle was worth $30,000+. Mauer has confirmed my belief that there are some sleezy, shady, scammers in the world. There is a lot more, but I think I've said enough. Oh, they have really poor customer service. read more

I was in the dealership today looking at buying 2 vehicles a Tahoe and a Malibu. Things started out good but turned bad quickly. The salesman in the middle of talking about the vehicles said he would be back in a couple of minutes he went outside with another customer and showed a person a truck then they disappeared and was gone over 25 minutes . I did hear from him until he called me on my cell phone and asked where I was I explained I was walking around the lot looking for money that fell out of my pocket and I was looking for it while he took off on me. I did lose $230 somewhere between the front of the store looking at the Tahoe or inside the store I did ask if anyone found the cash and turned it in because 95 percent chance it was found by employee since there was only 1customer in there. My wife showed up with a cashier check for $95000 for the two cars but would not come in because of the way my salesman just walked away and had no respect for me. We will be going somewhere else. We definitely were not treated as #1 as your slogan says. Losing out on a $97000 deal I guess doesn't mean much to them. read more

WORST CAR SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. I own a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze that was having trouble cold starting. I took my car here And they told me it was a bad battery. They charged me $300 dollars to change the battery which didn't fix the problem. When I took it back, they told me it would be another $300 to change the ambient air temp sensor. I didn't trust them again since they already charged me for an unnecessary service, so I took my car somewhere else. Come to find out my ambient air temp sensor was fine, but my engine coolant sensor is off and my car was leaking coolant. The other mechanic told me it was an obvious problem and if they actually looked at the car or hooked it up to the computer, they should have known without a doubt what the problem was. I don't know how they can get away with charging for unnecessary services like this. I will never come back here. read more

After making an appointment online almost two weeks in advance, I brought my Chevy Malibu in for an oil change, tire rotation, key fob replacement, and brake inspection/replacement. The appointment was scheduled for Monday morning at 8:00 am. I was okay with being without the car overnight if it was necessary because they might not have my fob in house. I stopped in at 4:45 that afternoon to see if there were any problems or delays. I was told that they couldn't find any updates on my car but would reach out when it was ready. Early afternoon the next day, I hadn't heard anything so I called and left a message. When I got a call back at 2:30, I was told that they completely forgot about my car but it was up getting serviced at that time. They needed my car another night and would finish programming the fob in the morning and it would be ready. I called the next day about 2:00 in the afternoon and they were just getting to the brakes, which should have been done if all they were waiting for was the fob. A couple hours later, I received another phone call that something broke and they would need to have the car for a third night. On Day 4, I still had to call and follow up to find out it had completed. The whole experience was unnecessarily stretched out and disorganized. Be ready to do all the follow up yourself. read more

As of this posting, I have been waiting for over a week to get my car back from the service department. I'll make this as quick as possible. We purchased a 2011 Cruze one year ago, and brought it in last spring, under warranty, for a noise in the dash. They fixed a loose blower motor and sent us on our way. Over the summer, the noise returned and we brought it back in, but they were unable to hear the noise, much less check to make sure everything was as it should be. We were told if the noise got worse, to bring it back in and they would cover all work as it was previously completed under warranty. Fast forward two months. The climate control is making all kinds of weird noises, so I set up an appointment for Tuesday to have it looked at. I spoke with Norm, the service manager, who was very impatient and incredibly hasty to get me off the phone. He seemed annoyed at my questions and all-around wasn't very helpful. Monday night, I dropped my Cruze off and was given a loaner. In the past, we've been given a comparable-quality loaner. This time, I was given a Chevy Spark. I'm not so entitled as to feel above driving it, but it really is a low-end, poor quality, all-around unpleasant vehicle to drive. Definitely a step down, but I figured hey, it's only for a day or two, tops. Tuesday, I had to call them mid-afternoon. I received no phone call, no correspondence from them. I had to take it upon myself to contact them on the status of my vehicle. I was told that they had ordered parts and it wouldn't be ready until the next day. I was annoyed that they hadn't let me know they were ordering parts or that it wasn't going to be ready that day, and that I had to take it upon myself to follow up with them. But still, I figured they're still covering the parts and labor, and they did give me a loaner, and I'm getting my car back tomorrow. All-in-all, still not terrible. Wednesday, the day I was scheduled to get my car back, I again received no phone call on the status of my car. Seeing as the dealership is located 20 minutes in the opposite direction of my house, I decided at 4:00 to call them, rather than chance it and drive up there. It took four phone calls to the dealership (over a span of 45 minutes) before I was finally able to reach somebody in the service department. At this point, I was told that they had ordered more parts (again, without contacting me) and that it wouldn't be ready until the following Tuesday. I was also told that if I had called earlier, they could have put it back together for the weekend and I could have picked it up that night and brought it back the next week, but apparently it's my fault for not calling them earlier. As if I'm the one who is supposed to know that the work is done and they're ready to let me know what's going on with my car. So, at this point, they've ordered two rounds of parts to fix a problem that should have been diagnosed months ago. They've pushed the return date back a full week. And I'm spending the weekend driving around in a bright red puddle jumper with no cruise control and the saddest excuse for a stereo I've ever experienced. Now, as I sit here writing this review, I'm waiting for them to return my call to them half an hour ago to find out if I can get my car back tonight or not, but I'm not holding my breath. In all, this is the worst experience I've ever had with a service department. Their only saving grace is they still insist the work and parts will be covered for free since they didn't fix it under warranty. However, I'm sick of getting no information on what the status of my car is, what parts are being ordered (or even asking if it's okay to perform the work that they're doing) or when I'm getting it back. I'll continue bringing my car there for service because I like to have all the work performed at one location, but so far I'm very, very far from impressed with the quality of service. Update: I did get my car back, a week and a half after I originally dropped it off for service. They did honor their promise off no charge for the work, and completed it as warranty. The interior of the car was filthy, though. Much dirtier than when I dropped it off. There were crumbs and pieces of food, as if the tech working on it was eating in it. Very disappointed with the level of service. I would have expected much better. read more

We already had financing and he was aware of it. Finance guy made us wait 1.5 hrs to pu the car and said "that is why we don't like people to come in the evening." I guess we would be interrupting their BS sessions as that was all they were doing. Even though we had an appointment. Gave him a piece of my mind and he was still unapologetic as if he was doing us a favor. Sales guys like to walk around and talk big and are of not much help. Spend your money someplace else. The service tech checked me in right away and informed me that it would take about one hour and forty minutes to complete the service. I told him I would wait here for it, I was then directed to the waiting area. one hour and forty minutes later, the tech came and told me my vehicle was going through the car wash and then he brought me over to the cashier to settle up, as soon as I walked outside to wait for my vehicle, the person that took it through the car wash pulled around the corner and delivered my vehicle back to me. Had an appointment scheduled for 7:30AM and asked for an estimate before service work was completed. I dropped my car off the night before. 9AM I called the dealership and they said they got my keys but it was not serviced yet. 12PM roles around an I still have no heard from the service department in regards to an estimate or a time frame on when my car will be done. 2PM comes and I get a ride to the dealership because I still have not heard anything and I am ready to pick-up my car and leave. I get here and the dealership is just now servicing my car at 2:30PM. The customer service was rude and not helpful. Told me i was missing something and if they had the replacement that it would be extra and I asked how much extra and the workers response was "I don't know the cost of the part", "maybe $5 or $10" and walked away. What's the point of scheduling an appointment if the car doesn't even get serviced at that time. I have no intention of coming back. Would not recommend the service at this dealership. Had an appointment to have an interior door panel replaced that was scratched prior to receiving our new 2014 Impala. At the appointment, I mentioned that the steering wheel was slightly misaligned. They said they would take care of it. Exactly at the time promised, we picked up our car with a new door panel and a realignment all done under warranty.
