I love this Maui Divers location... located in the Ala Moana Center next to The Lanai food court and Macy's. It's so bright and spacious inside and the employees definitely have the Aloha spirit. I've had to come here a number of times to get my ring adjusted. The first time was because my man had originally purchased my ring in a size 7... way too big for my little finger. I was easily able to drop in to get it resized. Since it was just purchased a couple days prior, they were able to look up my man's information for the sale and create me an account... I had proceeded to try on different ring sizers and determined that I in fact have "kid size" fingers. LOL. My ring was sent off to the manufacturer and the process was so fast... I got my ring back 2 days later. I had to get my ring adjusted again a while later because I had lost a lot of weight and as usual, I got my resized AND polished ring back in 2 business days! Prices are kind of steep, but you get what you pay for. My only inquiry would be, since my original ring went from a size 7 to a size 4, my bf commented that the ring should be cheaper... I mean, since that's less gold that was used and he was like, "you should have asked for the piece of gold that they cut off to make it smaller!" HAHA. read more

A year and a half ago I went shopping here and they let me try on a ring I really loved - I recently purchased that ring and another ring from them, there was never any pressure and they were just so kind to me throughout the whole process. Mi madre had a strand of simple white round pearls that she cherished so much she hid it away in the house somewhere and hid it so well that she cannot find it. Good job. So nice so sweet the lady and manager gentleman at this shop if i could make them five thousand stars I would. UPDATES - after writing reviews and contacting them thru IG, I finally got someone's attention. Items were shipped and finally got them today. As I'm writing this, I'm also writing a check to pay the Maui Divers credit card in full and close the account. I've bought many many items from them over the years and had never been disappointed but I'm truly disappointed this time. I will not buy anything else from Maui Divers again. There are many other places that I can spend my money. I will continue to buy jewelry on my yearly trip to Honolulu elsewhere. Pearls came and they're TINY. The necklace is kind of ok and color is Golden. The ring is very very light color gold and has a hint of green and dull (not shiny). I'll just save these and give them away as gift or try to sell them somehow. Pearls from China for 10% of the price are 10x better in quality. The service was so good but then it went down hill fast. I still bought a ring or earrings here and there but not like before. It's been over 2 weeks and they still haven't shipped. Their excuses so far: they overlooked my order, they had to resize my ring, the shipping label maker broke, they had to look for my ring, they're short staffed, they got too many orders. I absolutely love the piece that we ended up buying. It was splurge and is absolutely gorgeous. They have a lot of other really beautiful pieces, which I would have considered buying. Unfortunately, the customer experience was terrible x2 times and I am not interested in repeating the process. When we went in to browse initially, I found the salesperson frankly simultaneously pushy and standoffish. (Yes, we caught her name - and not because she introduced herself. However, it doesn't seem fair to put that on this forum.) I did not feel welcomed and the vibe she kept giving us was definitely "these people are only here to window shop, so no need for me to give them my attention." We ended up getting the protea pendant in rose gold and purchasing a rose gold chain. We had a Friends of the Library fundraiser auction gift certificate, which -in print- said that we had to bring it into the store to use (i.e., not online). The salesperson gave a stink about it and told us she had to call her manager to make sure we could use it. I was quite close to walking out at that point. If you think we are trying to scam the store, at least try to hide your feelings a bit or go into another area to make whatever call you are going to do. She also kept asking us if we wanted to pay on a payment plan and sign up for some service where we would not be penalized if we made a late payment - but she did not ask how we wanted to pay. Ok, lady, I get it - you think we don't have enough money to shop at the store. Instead of feeling happy and excited about the piece, I walked away from the purchase upset with the entire experience and that we bought from her specifically. Fast forward to pick-up as the pendant was a special order. There's 2 other customers in the store (together) and 5 sales people. Two salespeople are at separate counters and 3 are clustered together around each other, including the person we made the original purchase from. The 3 looked busy, so we simply told them we were there for pick-up. They said "ok, someone will help you" AND THEN NO ONE DID. Finally, we asked another woman on a different counter if she might please help us with the pick-up. She, appropriately so, said she thought we were being helped and tapped the original salesperson to help us. The original salesperson - who literally just said "someone will help you" and then proceeded to ignore us - said "Oh I thought you were already being helped." Ugh. I was so upset, I just put the pendant on alongside another necklace I was already wearing (normally, I do not wear a pearl with anything else) as I was not interested in spending any more time in the environment. The final fun slap at the end was the original salesperson saying something along the lines of "don't shower with the pearl on." I guess that could be helpful advice, but there's like a million other things she could have said like "enjoy the pendant." I do not want to make assumptions about why that specific advice was given, but it certainly made me feel embarrassed to be in the store. I wish I had the been able to say something and stand up for myself and the junk experience. Perhaps it wasn't a large amount of money for someone else to spend at the store - but it mattered to me. I want to pass this piece on to my daughter and would have likely been back to buy other pieces if we had been treated better. +1 star for the gorgeous piece. read more

I knew this place existed because I did some research before we came to the island. My husband and family came to the international market place location on a Sunday evening. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. I was looking for two particular pieces, E Ho'āla and a plumeria necklace. I decided on the golden south sea pearl and a chain to put it on. Our associate was so sweet and helpful, she helped me try the different ones on and was honest about each of the price variations. A few days later, I still was thinking about the mother of pearl plumeria necklace. We happened to stop at the Dole Plantation and they had a location inside the shop! So, at that location our sales associate was also very sweet and accommodating. I ended up purchasing the plumeria necklace and chain combination I was set on. I'm excited to wear my beautiful pieces and I'm more than ready to stop in this jeweler again. Absolutely recommend. Where do I begin? First let me say that Lily is a rockstar. She did an incredible job being warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and professional. We came in wanting to buy a necklace with Tahitian Black Pearls, and she was fantastic in helping us find exactly what my fiance wanted. Lily also had a great sense of humor, and was a total pleasure to work with. Second, Lily is a great sales person. How this women made me want to spend MORE money, I'll never know...Some sort of magical powers! lol. But seriously, she knew I wanted to get something to go along with the necklace, and knew precisely what to show us without being overbearing or sales pitchy. We really appreciated her subtleness and expertise in making it a very good, entertaining and meaningful experience (our first at Maui Divers). Third, the pearls we got - a necklace, earrings and pendant - were all stunning and beautiful. My fiance was thrilled with everything. Finally, Lily called us a half hour after we left to let us know there was a special promotion going on at Ala Moana where we could get a free Amex gift card because of our purchase. The customer service is great! Eleanor was great help and so are the rest of the ladies in the store. However, I would be very cautious financing jewelry with them. I financed some jewelry and when I got my first statement, there's a pending charge on there for almost the same amount of what I spent and I called the manager when I noticed and apparently it was some mistake and it should have fallen off after a couple days. Well here I am 3 months later and still dealing with trying to have it taken care of, I was told the price would be interest free for 12 months and what my minimum payments are, they definitely don't match up and at this rate of the minimum payments, it will be payed off halfway thru the 12 month mark. The one star is incredibly generous, if I could give a -10 I would. Had they been honest about wait time for customer support, I wouldn't be writing this. I purchased a pair of earrings and a necklace while on vacation in Oahu. While the necklace had no issues, my pearls weren't set correctly on my earrings twice. The first time the epoxy didn't cure in over 36 hours after purchase (I didn't bother them within that 36 hours). I had to get it fixed by another location inside Maui's airport. The associate was lovely, but he secured my earrings in a box after putting new epoxy back on. The earrings were too close to the fuzzy interior of the box, 1 earring cured with visible fuzzies and extra epoxy on it. I had to fly home to Seattle so emailed customer support, waited nearly 2 weeks for a proper reply, even though their website said they would reply within a few hours. After sending multiple emails about my situation, I was given a UPS label to send my earrings back for a replacement. I was told when the warehouse receive them I would get another shipment. Nearly 2 weeks have passed and I still haven't seen anything. I've sent multiple inquiries through email (unable to call due to time difference and my job) and I still do not have my earrings (they were almost $600). It's been a month since my purchase..still don't know if I'll ever get those earrings or a refund. I'm frustrated and disappointed. Save yourself the grief and money, go buy nice earrings somewhere else. read more

When I went to return the earrings, I was told that the earrings could only be exchanged since I received a "promotional discount" when she gave me a kama'aina discount, even with the original receipt and credit card. After asking for a manager, she reluctantly agreed to give me a refund after I got a little upset with her shenanigans. Dont get roped into a "tour" of this jewelry store. Our cruise ship docked in Honolulu and we were told the bus would take us to Ala Moana or Waikiki after a brief stop at Maui Divers Jewelry. After sitting through a video, they take you on a tour which all lasts 20 minutes. Then they lead you into their jewelry store where the employees try to pressure you into buying their jewelry. Once you've escaped their store, you wait an hour or more for a bus to take you to Ala Moana shopping area or Waikiki!! You sit outside in the heat while you wait unless you want to go back into their pressure cooker store! Definitely a tourist trap. Dont get pulled in to it! read more

If you are just looking, you tell them that and they keep their distance. No pressure. If you know what you want, they will be all ready to help you pick out what suits your needs and budget. They will sit you down and offer you some type of drink if you fancy it. I always come here because I know they will not sell crappy jewelry. If something is not right when you get home, just bring it to any of their stores and they will help you out. No problem so far. Not much to write about this store. Both stores had a variety of designs suitable for different ages and price ranges. Both stores had a selection that was 30% off and I found both of my pieces in that selection so I was very happy about that. Great service and of course the sale people have only the sweetest words to encourage you to buy :) *Tip - Maui Divers has an outlet inside The International Marketplace on Kalakuaa Rd. I was at the Maui Divers Jewelry store at the Ala Mona shopping mall last week and was very a p on How I was appall on the way I was treated I just finish picking my computer from the computer store and happened to drop by cause I have been wanting to get a silver bracelet for myself and so I walked with my baby in my hands and walked in the store I was greeted by a sales lady and showed me some items in gold I told her that I am interested in Silver I saw the one and ask her if I could try it on it was perfect so I told her I would buy it I took my credit card out and she handed me a form to fill out I was filling it out and all of a sudden she kept turn the form around when I was trying to write the information that was needed on the form she kept doing this for about 4 times and I finally stop and told her forget I will take my business else where I told her that she was rude and she couldn't stop so I finally walked out very upset on how I was treated by this sales person. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I purchased a $500+ ring from them and it broke within a month or two of purchase. Unfortunately, I was unable to take it in to get fixed due to COVID-19, which is completely fine and understandable. I turned my ring in with an ample amount of time to be fixed before I moved out of Hawaii. What is not understandable is being told my ring would only take up to 2 weeks to be fixed because it was a simple fix. False. It took over TWO MONTHS simply because an employee "forgot" to contact me regarding who purchased the ring and when it was purchased. Furthermore, the employees questioned if I even made the purchase and that they would have to double check if I needed to be charged or not. After multiple phone calls back and forth, my ring is finally ready... the day I'm moving out of Hawaii. The associate said I could pick the ring up at anytime, however, she failed to mention their store hours. The hassle and amount of phone calls it took to get everything figured out is just infuriating. Who knows if I will ever get my ring back ‍ Definitely not a fan. read more

This place ran 2 of my stolen credit cards for merchandise. One card was swiped 5 times for a total of $8,000. Fortunately, the credit card denied authorization. Unfortunately, the other card allowed 2 charges totalling $3000. Don't trust this business!!!! I'm certain that they don't follow id checks with credit card purchases and that may lead to employees who are in on the boosting scam. Don't trust them with your information!! read more

Felt scammy but I had decided I wanted a pearl for a ring that has a "switch the stone" style so I got the pearl and ran. It's pretty, but the nacreous layer is very thin and not worth it. I received a maui divers watch as a gift and needed it to be resized. I took it in one sunday afternoon thinking they should have it done by the time I finished shopping. I went in and started filling out the paper work when the lady said they should have it done by tuesday..... two days kind of took me off guard. I assumed they would send the watch to their main office which actually made sense since I wouldn't want just some random retail worker adjusting a $400 watch. I told the worker ok and planned to pick up the watch on Tuesday. I didn't have time to pick up the watch on Tuesday so just planned for Wednesday. On Wednesday afternoon I received a voicemail letting me know my watch was ready, which was helpful since I was looking for the phone number to confirm it was ready. While on yelp i noticed there was a free coffee mug with check-in (SCORE! Although I have no need for a coffee mug...) I went in on Wednesday and there was only one worker and she was preoccupied with a couple buying some jewelry, so I went to do some shopkicking. Buyer beware of their "Lifetime Warranty." We bought a ring from their showroom(Liona Street) and had problems. One of the prongs on the ring holding the diamond got loose, so we took it back for repairs. Not a problem, then one of the accent diamonds came out, took it back for repairs. Then the whole setting came out, lost it. Took it back and Maui Divers said it was "Our fault." Since then, my wife has been out a ring, just can't afford another one at the moment. read more
