Fried whole fish

The food was like old school Chinese. Very good. The whole fish was also excellent. Perfect comfort meal to leave Maui after. Thanks Lemongrass! Gene Y.

Popcorn chicken

Maui Lemongrass got the job done but didn't quite amaze. The salt-and-pepper shrimp was a standout--crispy and flavorful. The eggplant was solid too. On the other hand, the popcorn chicken lacked seasoning, and what I expected to be a Thai curry was really just stir-fried veggies with sauce. The ambiance was fine, service attentive, and while I left full, the value felt a bit off for the price. All in all, a decent meal, but not a must-repeat.

Ordered food online to pick up. Service was friendly upon arrival. Restaurant was clean inside and had a casual vibe.

Growing up in San Francisco, Honolulu and Sacramento, what was once a monthly celebration of Chinese food shared with family and friends on early weekends, diminished to coffee and croissants after moving to rural Maui. Finally, from recent Yelp posts, I realized that Lemongrass is offering Dim Sum on Maui! It's not a huge dumpling menu, but it has favorites that are worth seeking out. As virtually the only ones at 10:30am Sat we selected a few dim sum dishes and ordered roast duck. Food was delivered quickly and we savored the fresh dumplings. Shrimp, Pork, Chicken Feet, Sticky Rice were expertly seasoned and prepared. Even the extra large Jin Dui Sesame Balls filled with sweet bean paste were fried and served piping hot. A few we hope they'll consider offering are Fried Turnip Cake (Lo Bak Go), Taro Pastry (Wu Gok), Shanghai Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) and perhaps other baked goods like Char Siu Bao or Curry Turnovers. The restaurant quickly filled up and we'll be back more frequently. Hopefully Maui folks and Visitors will discover Lemongrass to enjoy and support their efforts because preparing these little treasures are a labor of love.

The foods we ordered wa perfect! We got the sizzling beef, whole roast duck, and fried rice. The portion was big and our server was so nice to us! The place was quiet and had a lot of space. Although this place is expensive. Everything is expensive now.

The food here is always good & filling. Definitely perfect for family size portions to share. But I do love all the options to cover any of my food cravings too:)

They have had dim sum on the lunch menu daily for almost a month now. IYKYK About the only thing you can't get is baked manapua. All the steamed items like shrimp dumplings, pork hash (siu mai), chicken feet, jasmine sticky rice (joong), steamed manapua, etc. are all on the menu.

Such a good place for large parties! Staff is friendly. Service can be a little slow when busy but they do their best to accommodate all tables. Food is great with a lot of options to choose from.

Dim sum that ends at 3PM daily. Most authentic and best tasting dim sum in Maui. No more having to fly to Oahu to be able to eat dim sum is a +++ My fave combos are A. Shrimp dumpling/har gow with B. Shu mai, & G. Sticky rice in lotus leaf with E. Steamed beef trip. For dessert or breakfast I eat the D. Streamed BBQ pork buns

I've had Mongolian beef at many Asian restaurants as it's one of my go to meals, but the Mongolian beef at Maui Lemongrass is so so so good. Similar favor but so much brighter and complex. We kept stopping during the meal to say this is so good. Staff very friendly and the owner keeping quality perfect and restaurant clean

Food was great but we're used to having rice with our Chinese food. Not included! Waitress was friendly.

As a vegetarian, I asked the waiter what I could order and they said they could make pad Thai, Singapore noodles, garlic noodles, vegetarian. I think were calamansi-- just delicious!! The green beans came with crispy, garlic, and spicy Fresno peppers on top and we're cooked to a chard perfection. Would definitely return. It was clear that the menu had undergone changes from the original offerings, yet there was no indication or communication about these updates prior to reservation, which left us surprised and dissatisfied with the dish served. It would have been very helpful if there had been some notice or explanation about the menu alterations, as it affected our expectations and overall enjoyment. The menu options between lunch and dinner were unexpected and somewhat disappointing, as it limited our choices.

It's no secret that when people in Hawaii think "BBQ," it's standard plate lunch fare. The rest of the menu is fantastic, but Thursday's are the truth. So far, I have had their bodacious beef ribs, brisket, and smoked turkey. All were mouth watering and smoked and seasoned to perfection with big portions. The bakery has also not disappointed. My only knock is that a couple times they haven't been open when the schedule said they should. Normally this might turn me off, but there is literally nowhere else on this island to get this kind of barbecue experience.

We have been here 5 days eating poke everyday so it was time to change it up. Being Chinese, I was drawn to the roast pork which I saw being chopped up as well as char siu and joong ( sold out). So, went with the half pound of roast pork and 4 manapuas aka BBQ pork buns. Even before we left the parking lot, I opened up the roast pork and we each took a bite. We both said "wow, it's so tender, juicy and flavorful". Hubby noted the 5 spice powder seasoning as well. When we got back to the room, I opened up the box and started dipping the roast pork in the mustard based sauce. Double yummy! The roast pork in the manapua is tender, perfect sweetness and plentiful. Next time we come to Maui, we are going to check out their shop. Amazing!!!

They serve the food family-style but still high-end which was exactly what we were going for so we were not disappointed. Cocktails were great and the vibes in the evening are very nice for a more upscale night out. Food came out a little slower than expected and by the time our Korean fried chicken main course came out we were almost full and had to take it togo. But everything was really good regardless, my favorite being the mushroom salad even though it was a little difficult to chop up since they give it to you as a whole head of butter lettuce. The chicken was really good and really juicy, paired nicely with the side of pickled cucumbers

The restaurant itself is quite tiny with limited indoor seating, bar seating, and a stretch of patio seating. We were seated at the bar and had two various experiences with the two bartenders that were looking after us - the gentleman who was the bartender was extremely kind and attentive. He was engaging and made small talk with us. The female bartender was quite rude and cold, and I debated removing a star for her poor attitude and service skills. Service aside, my husband and I decided to try a few different items, including the Szechuan garlic noodles, pickled cucumbers, aji tamago, and Lion's Mane salad. All four dishes had wonderful flavor and were the perfect amount to share and leave full without being overwhelmed. I appreciated the freshness of the ingredients and the variety of spice. All in all, it was a tasty meal, but they definitely need to work on their consistency with employee service.

Food: We ordered the honey walnut shrimp, miso butterfish, garlic furikake fries, hamachi sashimi, garlic noodles, and crispy chicken. My favorite was the hamachi sashimi. What I enjoyed about this dish was the diced maui onion that offset the citrus from the ponzu. The flavors are light, and refreshing. The most disappointing was the crispy chicken. I thought it was too salty, but that's my preference and salt tolerance. The miso butterfish was also a great dish. The fish was buttery and flavored well. Not too saucy but the perfect amount of sauce. Service: Service is friendly, like most of the restaurants on Maui. The food was served in a timely manner. The ambiance is casual and felt like a bar restaurant. Overall, I'm not sure if I would return. After ordering 6-7 dishes, I wanted to be blown away by at least 4-5 of them, but that wasn't the case. So I remember when kings first opened up the food was ok but it did need improvement. Fast forward to now 2025 and the food quality has gotten better from the cheeseburger combo which is one of the best deals and its tasty to other dishes like the honey walnut shrimp and BBQ chicken combo that I ordered the other day. The honey walnut shrimp was just as good if not better than some of the pricier restaurants downtown, and the BBQ chicken was also delicious. You have a lot of options when you go to kings. One thing I find hilarious is that they are Chinese BBQ but one of the best items on the menu is the cheeseburger combo which comes with fries and a drink.for about$12. That's one of the best deals on Maui especially now that the quality has improved.the service is always fast. They have tried to fix up the interior by adding several screens that have the menu on them but I feel like it was just more confusing for some people because the menu is is all over the room so if your not used to it then it's kinda confusing? I feel like the one menu screen would be enough and use the other screens for entertainment or sports. It's also nice that I don't half to drive all the way upcountry? Since I live fairly close to Haiku Center.
