The food was like old school Chinese. Very good. The whole fish was also excellent. Perfect comfort meal to leave Maui after. Thanks Lemongrass! Gene Y.

Maui Lemongrass got the job done but didn't quite amaze. The salt-and-pepper shrimp was a standout--crispy and flavorful. The eggplant was solid too. On the other hand, the popcorn chicken lacked seasoning, and what I expected to be a Thai curry was really just stir-fried veggies with sauce. The ambiance was fine, service attentive, and while I left full, the value felt a bit off for the price. All in all, a decent meal, but not a must-repeat.

Ordered food online to pick up. Service was friendly upon arrival. Restaurant was clean inside and had a casual vibe.

Growing up in San Francisco, Honolulu and Sacramento, what was once a monthly celebration of Chinese food shared with family and friends on early weekends, diminished to coffee and croissants after moving to rural Maui. Finally, from recent Yelp posts, I realized that Lemongrass is offering Dim Sum on Maui! It's not a huge dumpling menu, but it has favorites that are worth seeking out. As virtually the only ones at 10:30am Sat we selected a few dim sum dishes and ordered roast duck. Food was delivered quickly and we savored the fresh dumplings. Shrimp, Pork, Chicken Feet, Sticky Rice were expertly seasoned and prepared. Even the extra large Jin Dui Sesame Balls filled with sweet bean paste were fried and served piping hot. A few we hope they'll consider offering are Fried Turnip Cake (Lo Bak Go), Taro Pastry (Wu Gok), Shanghai Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) and perhaps other baked goods like Char Siu Bao or Curry Turnovers. The restaurant quickly filled up and we'll be back more frequently. Hopefully Maui folks and Visitors will discover Lemongrass to enjoy and support their efforts because preparing these little treasures are a labor of love.

The foods we ordered wa perfect! We got the sizzling beef, whole roast duck, and fried rice. The portion was big and our server was so nice to us! The place was quiet and had a lot of space. Although this place is expensive. Everything is expensive now.

The food here is always good & filling. Definitely perfect for family size portions to share. But I do love all the options to cover any of my food cravings too:)

They have had dim sum on the lunch menu daily for almost a month now. IYKYK About the only thing you can't get is baked manapua. All the steamed items like shrimp dumplings, pork hash (siu mai), chicken feet, jasmine sticky rice (joong), steamed manapua, etc. are all on the menu.

Such a good place for large parties! Staff is friendly. Service can be a little slow when busy but they do their best to accommodate all tables. Food is great with a lot of options to choose from.

Dim sum that ends at 3PM daily. Most authentic and best tasting dim sum in Maui. No more having to fly to Oahu to be able to eat dim sum is a +++ My fave combos are A. Shrimp dumpling/har gow with B. Shu mai, & G. Sticky rice in lotus leaf with E. Steamed beef trip. For dessert or breakfast I eat the D. Streamed BBQ pork buns

I've had Mongolian beef at many Asian restaurants as it's one of my go to meals, but the Mongolian beef at Maui Lemongrass is so so so good. Similar favor but so much brighter and complex. We kept stopping during the meal to say this is so good. Staff very friendly and the owner keeping quality perfect and restaurant clean

Was in Maui for a business trip and we came here for a quick informal lunch. Our server was very friendly and nice and the place was kept very clean. I ordered a beef and tofu. It was a little bit sweet for my taste, but I still ate every last bit. I chose it with the lo mein which is a nice option to have for the plate. The portions were large too! This is a great local place if you're craving some chinese food.

As a vegetarian, I asked the waiter what I could order and they said they could make pad Thai, Singapore noodles, garlic noodles, vegetarian. We ordered the green beans, appetizer and the Singapore noodles vegetarian both were excellent!! The Singapore noodles are a bean thread noodle with egg and tofu and bell peppers and tiny limes. Food- my cousin told me that Star Noodle had changed, that it's only dim sum for lunch, that the dim sum is super expensive and not very good. I have always had delicious meals here and thought I'd stick with dinner. Turns out, it didn't matter. Dinner might as well be dim sum too. Food came out way too fast. I actually timed the table in front of us, from the time the waitress left the table to the first few dishes coming to the table, just over 3 minutes! There were some dishes I enjoyed (miso butterfish and pohole salad), but two former favorites were huge disappointments (bao buns and the garlic noodles), two dishes I didn't care for (shrimp tempura and adobo ribs), and one that was just meh (string beans). The table to our right didn't take any of their leftovers and they had quite a bit too. Was very disappointed overall. My aunt enjoyed her meal, but I felt bad she didn't experience the Star Noodle from before... normally our first and last meal in Maui, but I cancelled our second dinner for next week! The new location (just next door) was nice, but it didn't make up for their mediocre food.

It's no secret that when people in Hawaii think "BBQ," it's standard plate lunch fare. The rest of the menu is fantastic, but Thursday's are the truth. So far, I have had their bodacious beef ribs, brisket, and smoked turkey. All were mouth watering and smoked and seasoned to perfection with big portions. The bakery has also not disappointed. My only knock is that a couple times they haven't been open when the schedule said they should. We have been here 5 days eating poke everyday so it was time to change it up. Being Chinese, I was drawn to the roast pork which I saw being chopped up as well as char siu and joong ( sold out). So, went with the half pound of roast pork and 4 manapuas aka BBQ pork buns. Even before we left the parking lot, I opened up the roast pork and we each took a bite. We both said "wow, it's so tender, juicy and flavorful". Hubby noted the 5 spice powder seasoning as well. When we got back to the room, I opened up the box and started dipping the roast pork in the mustard based sauce. Double yummy! The roast pork in the manapua is tender, perfect sweetness and plentiful. Next time we come to Maui, we are going to check out their shop. Amazing!!!

We made a reservation at the bar as we couldn't make one for standard seating (no availability several days before). They only open in the evenings at 5 pm. Lots of vegetarian/ vegan options. The bartenders that attended to us (especially the male one) was really friendly and customer service oriented. We ordered the garlic Szechuan noodles, the fish of the day 54.00 was the market price!!; we did ask ahead of time), the Lion's Mane Mushroom Liangban Salad. I honestly liked the garlic noodles from star noodle better but the size was a little bigger here. The noodles dressed up with the chef's special hot sauce though made the noodles taste a whole lot better (there are two types of chili sauce - a sambal (our neighbor had it) and a special hot sauce that is more orange colored). It was a little too sweet IMHO without the hot sauce. I noticed someone else mentioned it was like packaged ramen indomie. It actually looked and tasted to me too like it was not freshly made... The fish of the day (kampachi - type of amberjack) was really good. Steamed with ginger and some green onions I think. Tasted pretty authentic and flavorful and soft. Pricey though. The salad was delicious. Very flavorful with the bite sized shiitake mushrooms and just the right amount of dressing. We got a complimentary birthday scoop of delicious lychee/ longan/ ginger sorbet that we loved and devoured! Great flavors! They make their own sorbets in house and typically a different flavor every night! We might come back future to try their cauliflower.
