I had two massages there during my visit to Maui. I first went due to a cramping in my neck from the long plane ride. Tara was amazing!!! I had a pre existing knot in my neck that she worked on and Wow!!! The knot has never been smaller. She checked in with me to make sure pressure was ok. I had to see her before I left the island since I haven't had such great and thorough experience else where. This time i got the 90 min. Again! She got my lower back, my cracking knees. She gave me tips on maintenance. She was professional , definitely skilled and caring. The price can't be beat for such an experience. Will definitely visit again once I'm back in the Island. On their intake form I listed that I was there because I had some pain that I wanted massage therapy for. The masseuse did not even ask me what areas to focus on, and the massage felt very unskilled. It was like someone lightly rubbing me with oil with no intention or therapeutic effect. She also spent the last full ten minutes or so of the massage just scratching my head. That felt nice but it's not a massage? Overall the experience felt like she was trying to put in the least amount of effort into my service and just phoning it in, despite me asking her to adjust the pressure several times. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a therapeutic massage, unless I guess you know and ask for a specific therapist. read more

Well, we booked THREE of the $109 specials, did NOT select to upgrade or add any services, but when I paid, somehow was told that the masseuse did "deep" massages for two of us. Had to pay about $50.00 extra even though two of us declined any upgrades, and did not ask for anything extra. Very misleading and not as advertised Update - thank you for your response to my review. While it is true, that the cost was clarified before charging me, it was only after I inquired what I was being charged for that an explanation was given. I thought that the other two people in our group requested an upgraded treatment, as I was informed by your receptionist. She stated to me that they asked for the deep treatment massage. As I didn't want to take away any funds due to the masseuse, I paid what was told to me. It was only after I clarified with the other two people in our party that they did NOT request any upgrade, and came back a second time to confirm nothing extra was selected on your form. Perhaps in the future, you could clarify with your customer before going in for treatment exactly what they would like, or explain exactly what is included with whatever service the customer has selected. There's an enticing sign that says $105/massage so we called to make an appointment. However when you inquire about the type of massage they say it's a lomi lomi massage that "won't get out any knots." If you want a massage that will get out knots, you can upgrade to a deep tissue massage for $129/massage total. So we got the deep tissue massage but we're a little disappointed to find that the massages weren't the type to get out our knots anyways. So the upgrade might not be worth it since the pressure was not very firm. It's still a nice massage place, but again not sure we would do the upgrade. read more

I am sorry I cannot recommend this place for a massage, at least from the person who did mine. I appreciate that they tried their best, but there was no proper technique to speak of, nor was there good skill even for just a relaxation massage. It was neither therapeutic nor enjoyable, and was the one time I've ever felt like I couldn't wait for it to be over. In the end, it actually made me feel worse rather than better. Maybe there are better massage therapists who actually have good training, but it would be best to verify that before you book here. read more

My therapist staff member began by asking if the room temp was ok and it wasn't. That was the least of my worries, as she began, she had: poor technique (no school is teaching you to beat on a patron like a drum), cold hands, nails long enough to scratch me and cold "massage oil." Do Not Go Here!!! First of all when I called to ask questions the receptionist was extremely rude. I was trying to get information and she said "call me back when you know what you want" I only called back because no one else in Kihei had the day and time I wanted. I wanted the 90 minute massage and 30 minute facial. The rude lady was like ok "30 minute massage and 30 minute facial". I just said yeah ok I should have stood my ground about the time but didn't like I said she was rude. The massage was ok. The facial was a joke. It was a mask and that's about it. Also if you are pregnant there is no massage tables designed for pregnant women. The masseuse that did my pregnant daughter in love was not accommodating towards her being pregnant. We came in Tuesday inquiring about a 90 minute couples massage , our quote was 160 and the lady was very kind and said she was going to knock 10 off of the usual 170. I don't know why we didn't question it, that's scammy in the first place. We said wonderful, and were planning to tip really well because it was such a good deal! In comes the massage, I had an older Asian lady who obviously had no massage training or basic knowledge of the musculoskeletal system. She got the job done, my knot in my shoulder is gone, but I thought to myself like 30 times what in the heck is going on. I've had Thai massages and deep tissue like where they get on you but this was something else. Very chaotic. The young woman my husband had was wonderful! Anyways, we come to pay, the total is 300+. We were confused and asked her to clarify, she explained that it was 160 for the 90 minute, times two, acting like that's what she told us in the first place. But we got a quote from her for a COUPLES massage, and we made sure she knew that. She even explained the set up, she knew we wanted a couples massage and that's what she quoted us for. The older Asian lady was my massage therapist and she was so horrible!!!!!!!! I did a walk in with my brother. I asked the front desk if my lady had strong hands because I wanted a deep tissue massage. So she introduced me to my lady, walked in the room and she already was giving me attitude. I got ready on the table and she was already telling me "if you don't like me I'll get someone else". I just said I want a lot of pressure and she replied "I only do medium pressure" I said I asked for strong hands, which I did and the front desk lady said she was "strong". LIES. Anyway, back to the massage I asked her to go a little harder and she said again "if you uncomfortable you can get someone else". Then kept repeating it during the 20 minutes I was there. I wasn't speaking back but then I got all irritated. She said "if you want a Thai massage, got to go Thai massage place, if you uncomfortable then you can leave" . I snapped I said why do you keep saying that?? I'm not even responding to you, are you uncomfortable?? What's your problem? N she replied I can't continue? I said good I'm done, this massage was crap cause all she did was rub me with oil and was breathing hard for no reason the whole time I was there. Then as I was getting dressed I heard her talking crap outside the door. When she gets called out oh you got nothing to say??? But said sorry and ran in the room. My husband and I stopped here for a couples massage on our honeymoon last week. It started as a really frustrating experience, our appointment was at 12:30 and when we walked in they said they needed to move it to 1.. not ideal since they asked us to be there early as it was, and we didn't actually get in until 1:15 or so. It's a small place without much of a waiting room so waiting 45 minutes on our last day of vacation wasn't ideal. We almost left, but I'm really glad we stayed because we both ended up getting some of the best massages we've ever had. As someone with a larger chest, I frequently experience back pain and my massage therapist (Charles) somehow got the perfect amount of pressure. He relieved so much pain whilst not making it uncomfortable as it can sometimes be when trying to work out problem areas. He really took his time and massaged everything down to my fingers. My husband had the same great things to say about his therapist, he mentioned his desk job and playing music so she spent extra time on his hands and wrists. We were both so happy with our experiences. With a little improved communication, just a heads up if they're running that far behind, this would have been a 5 for us. The Hawaiian Bliss massage was great, my masseuse checked in with me throughout the entire massage to make sure I was comfortable, I asked her to focus on my scalp and she listened and really gave my scalp and neck a good rub down. Ive been to this establishment on multiple occasions and thoroughly enjoyed my massages; however, my most recent attempt to book via telephone was a complete disaster. Long story short, I have a groupon and requested to add-on/upgrade the service. The person that was serving the phone lines, Diane (also the manager) was rude, snarky, and unprofessional in her response telling me that they do not accept upgrades (why wouldnt you want to have a customer add on services? especially if its been done many times prior). It saddens me as this was my first time experiencing such horrible customer service from a business that I frequent as a local kamaāina of Maui. Due to such a frustrating booking experience, I will be taking my patronage elsewhere. If you are from California and have had a Thai massage or like pressure, look elsewhere. I feel like a lot of these reviews are from people who have not had a proper massage. First off, the prices on their website is inaccurate. They are aware and have not changed it. Fortunately, the receptionist honored that price, but it is still misleading. Second, we opted for deep tissue for $10 more. It was not deep tissue. In fact, I asked my masseuse to add pressure and it did not feel any different. None of my muscles feel massaged. As my husband put it, he felt like they were gentling stroking our skin... I did not walk out relaxed and in a zen mood. I left feeling there was more to be desired... My masseuse was very nice so I still tipped her for the hour of work. But it is just that and not a reflection of the performance. I am not impressed. We spent over $320 and it could have been used for another vacation activity like snorkeling or paragliding. I'm not crazy about the pressing through the blanket to start, and, until I told her, her nails were scratching me. But once I told her about the nails and we got down to the massage itself, it was great. If you feel her nails scratching you, that is inadvertent. Just remind her of it and then enjoy. read more

Was really wanting a massage Sat evening and upon calling a few budget friendly spa places in Kihei that didn't have any availability until Tuesday, this one could take us Monday morning. Located in a shopping mall facing the street, across from Kameole beach they have advertising saying $79 for 60 min special. They have a successful location in Kaanapali and I believe this one opened not too long ago. My fiancé came in for a "couples massage" but were in separate rooms, totally fine, but in case you were expecting that. I was assigned to Adrian and the massage was great. Did not need any add one like deep tissue, hot stones, etc but if I did it was about $10 which is not much. He was really attentive and made conversation but didn't talk your ear off which is nice when you want to relax. My fiancé had Ann and he really enjoyed his massage. He was able to communicate that he was ticklish in the feet and she stayed away from that area. Nothing special about their facility as it's pretty no frills so don't expect a heated table or anything but dim lighting and soothing music and nice people.
