We are visiting from out of state and really liked this shop. They had a great selection of surf wear to include a new found fav brand of mine, Vissla. I also appreciated that they have out cool stickers to all of our kids during our purchase. I would def shop there again. read more

Terrible service and will definitely not come back and she was on her phone the entire time. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this surf shop. I came in excited to look around and potentially make a purchase, but the customer service completely ruined the visit. I asked what I believed was a very normal and reasonable question about one of the products, and instead of receiving a helpful answer, the employee I spoke with immediately seemed irritated and annoyed that I had even asked. Her tone was rude and dismissive from the start, and she made me feel like I was inconveniencing her simply by trying to get information about something the store sells. As a customer, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask questions before making a purchase, especially in a specialty shop where people may not know every detail about the products. Rather than helping me understand what I was looking at, she responded with visible frustration and an attitude that made me feel unwelcome. What bothered me most was how unnecessary the interaction felt. I was polite throughout the conversation and wasn't demanding or difficult in any way. I simply wanted assistance, which is one of the basic expectations when visiting a retail store. Instead, I felt like I was being talked down to and treated as though my question was stupid or not worth answering. Customer service can make or break a business, and unfortunately this experience left a very negative impression. A surf shop should be a welcoming place where people of all experience levels feel comfortable asking questions and learning more about the sport and equipment. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and unlikely to return. I hope management takes customer interactions seriously and reminds employees that a little patience and respect go a long way. One rude interaction can easily drive away customers, and based on my experience, there is definitely room for improvement in how customers are treated here. Ok these guys have a bad rep on here. I just went to this store a few hours ago and they have a bigger selection than the closest "skate shop" around. Now I went to innerlight(which is a lot farther than Maui nix) and they had a very small skateboard selection. I loved innerlight but Maui Nix had such a better and wider selection of skateboarding gear. Great prices too. I highly recommend this shop for skateboarders in the Destin area or if you're a tourist and need a tune up for the board you brought. They have stuff for penny, long, and trick boards. My experience was good. They were sold out of most of my size of cool shorts, but the staff was friendly and helpful.

These people up here are awesome!!! Came in to get some sunglasses, and realised one of the arms were loose. Came back the next day, and a gentleman working there told me to just grab another pair which blew me away! Lost those to the ocean and came back for another pair because I loved them so much, realised after I bought those that the lens were different, the ladies in there were so nice and told me to grab the ones I wanted. Unbelievable customer service! Well done guys! I will always be a returning customer! Thank you so much! read more

This place has the worst staff. And the rudest owner/manager. After telling him that his staff was quite rude and did not have the best customer service he cussed me out and told me to leave his "effing" store and continued to talk that way as I left. Overall you can get the same clothes at any other surf shop. I hope you have a better experience than I did if you go. read more
