I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was very bland, watered down and only had strawberry syrup. I love matcha and this didn't even taste like matcha. I spent $8 on it and literally couldn't drink it because it had no flavor and was not food. My cousin got the Funfetti iced coffee and it was great tho! We spoke to the gals working inside and they were friendly and happy to answer questions and suggest some nearby pizza stops for my husband who is a big pizza fanatic. I'm going to start off by saying I technically didn't order anything here personally but did interact with the works and tried what my fiancé ordered. I was so looking forward to coming here and trying it out! It was much smaller than what I expected it to be and I guess I didn't really realize that the "coffee shop" and the "icecream shop" are like separated inside so two different lines and two different cashiers. The barista / cafe worker was not very nice or personable at all. She did inform us that they were out of certain flavors which I guess is to be expected during the early evening at a busy beach town. My fiancé got the mocha frozen coffee and it tasted good from the sip I got! Their instagram made me excited to try a lot but I don't think much of what they show online is featured on their menu. They need to have like a a specialty menu or something. I wanted to try icecream but thought better of it because of how I was feeling - they did seem to be out of a lot of flavors of that too. I got the collagen latte and my husband go a double espresso. It's a tale of 2 different orders. He loved his and was excited about the place. As someone who regularly drinks mushroom coffeI couldn't take more than 2 sips. In fact, I went back and told them how bad it was. They quickly made it right and got me a plain latte that was great. The girls were very nice about it. My son also got a gluten free donut and it was delicious! I don't think I've ever liked gluten free anything and this was really good. My son ate the whole thing! We stop here on every trip to Bethany -- our family has a house nearby and we're there often. We love popping into the book shop and topping off the trip with a coffee from Maureen's. Their desserts are great too. The only thing that's always bothered me is that the staff there never seems friendly. At first I thought it was just me but I've taken notice again and again that the girls who work there always seem to have a mean girl vibe. I feel judged almost every time I'm there. We have a toddler who is usually with us and he's pretty much always well behaved. My husband and I are always friendly. I've tested the theory multiple times and sure enough, each time we get that "I'm too cool for you" mean girl vibe from the girls in there. I don't like to judge but it's kind of impossible not to when I give chance after chance to the staff and it seems like every girl who works there is a carbon copy of the last with the same exact attitude. It bums me out because we really love stopping there but this is the one issue that makes me feel like I'm unsure if I want to keep popping in. read more

The match smoothie was good. My friend got another specialty smoothie and it just tasted like almond milk and nothing else it was barely cold and all liquid. For prices at $10 each it was unfortunate. They also charge a service fee for a credit card and do not have it posted anywhere, as we were about to click the button on the tablet for the receipt the worker finalized it out and would not let us get the receipt. The girls working we're extremely rude and would not even look up at us or show any respect as anyone ordered. We interacted with multiple individuals serving us ice cream and they were all warm, polite, and smiley darlings (that's right, they were darlings). They let us try samples (generously so) and helpfully answered our questions about flavors. I really do not know how they could have been more pleasant to interact with. The ice cream was also quite good too. Wonderful consistency and sweetness level. Best flavors in our opinion were milky way and butterbeer. I didn't try any of the ice cream here. What I did try is their coffee. We were here for a few days. I tried several different places that offer coffee or said they were a coffee shop. It took us a while to find this place because it appears to be an ice cream store. They may very well have amazing ice cream here and other delicious treats that I did not try. What they do have here is amazing coffee. They have an espresso machine and they can make a latte or a cappuccino etc. I wanted a Cortada which they were not familiar with. I explained it to them as two shots of espresso and a splash of hot milk. They made it perfect. It was the best coffee I had in several days of being on the beach.
