    Sausage pasta
    Keke T.

Came here with a restaurant regular who ordered all their best dishes. We were in for quite an experience! First and foremost, the entire crew from the host/greeter to the bartenders and waitstaff were super knowledgeable and friendly. They were quick on all items and got us all dialed in right away as one of our guests was in a rush. Now, the food...the sausage pasta was the best pasta I've ever had and I'll have dreams about this until I return. Close seconds: Ribeye and perchuto/goat cheese pizza. Everything was incredible. Then there's the pier and the view. 10/10 for me!

We started with the lobster ravioli, which was rich, creamy, and packed with generous pieces of lobster. For the main course, the steak was cooked beautifully with a flavorful char on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside. The grilled vegetables and potatoes complemented it perfectly. We also ordered the shrimp dish, which was fresh, light, and full of bright Mediterranean flavors with tomatoes, garlic, and a delicate broth that paired wonderfully with the shrimp. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and every dish arrived hot and beautifully presented. Between the delicious food, scenic waterfront views, and welcoming ambiance, this is definitely a restaurant I'd return to. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a quality meal by the water, Maurizio's is worth the visit. The waterfront setting created a relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for dinner.

Why are we all sleeping on Whitestone, you all?I know it's pretty North, but it really has some awesome places, including Maurizio's. My friend, Laura, suggested we go here thinking it would be nicer and we could sit outside, but even though it's still gloomy this time of year it didn't damper our dinner. We did take a peek outside to check out the view for when we come back in the summer, and it was still stunning. Now the food! We started with Baked Clams and the pear salad. The baked clams were AMAZING. Whole clams, and just the right amount of lemon to taste made this dish amazing. The pear salad was perfection. For the main course we opted for the mushroom pizza, and the Chicken Sorrentino. Usually I feel like a Chicken Sorrentino is in a Marsala sauce but this time it was in a marinara sauce. Almost like a cacciatore. I wasn't mad about it. We would have liked dessert but we had way too much food. But it won't be the last time we come back. The service was impeccable and we really appreciated how at home we were made to feel.

From unbeatable food to gorgeous views and attentive service, all 5 stars. I usually don't write reviews but this is an exception.

4.5 I think this place is a hidden gem, and I plan on coming back. I came here for a small celebration with my wife, and we were not disappointed. It's tucked away at the end of 154th Street and Powells Cove Boulevard in Beechhurst, right near the Whitestone Plaza (where CVS and North Shore Farms are located). The place is nice -- you walk in and there's a small bar area with the dining area to the right. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. As for the food, it also didn't disappoint. We started with the Baked Clams Oreganata, Rigatoni alla Maurizio, Seafood Fra Diavolo, and Sauteed Broccoli Rabe. Everything was on point. Maybe the broccoli could've used a bit more seasoning, but still, it was very good. I'm definitely planning to come back to try more of their offerings and check out the outdoor area when the weather gets warmer.

We were fortunate to catch a warm, sunny day in October and wanted to dine outdoors. Maurizio's has a deck that extends out over the water and it was a spectacular spot for lunch! We also came back a few days later and ate inside. Beautiful space with lots of natural light. Very good bartender (Bourbon Sidecar was perfectly mixed, and the margaritas refreshing and tasty). Their pasta are very fresh We enjoyed penne alla vodka (added chicken), rigatoni scampi with shrimp (added crumbled sausage -you have option to add several proteins to their pastas), tagliatelle bolognese, and margarita pizza with peppers. Each dish was served hot and fresh, and all were delicious. Their pistachio ice cream and Italian cheesecake are great ways to end the meal. Definitely a place we'll return to, especially when warmer weather comes back!

What a fantastic restaurant! From the time you walk in you know you are in for a special meal. Everyone is so friendly and hospitable! Great vibe and just a very inviting space. The food...excellent! Stuffed shrimp, perfectly cooked. The chicken special was so tasty and a very generous portion. The tiramisu was a cloud of deliciousness. I will be back very very soon!

I have been considering this place for some time since it is close to my home, and I intended to try it someday. Today, I finally visited, and I was pleased with the experience. The food we ordered was prepared excellently and tasted so awesome. The environment is welcoming, and the service was outstanding. They also have a patio for outdoor seating that opens during the summer, offering scenic views of the water and Throggs Neck Bridge. I am happy to recommend this place to my friends and family. We will definitely come back.

Was looking for waterfront dining in Queens and chatgpt told me of this place. It was a beautiful afternoon with delicious food, a great lunch menu, beautiful views, onsite parking and amazing service. The service was one of the best I have ever had at a restaurant! Truly recommend enjoying this beautiful restaurant looking at the Whitestone and Throgs Neck Bridge while enjoying a great meal!

The restaurant truly defines fine dining, and it's a wonderfully comfortable, clean spot that is perfect for friends catching up over a long meal. We came back specifically to try their three-course brunch menu this time ($49.95 for an appetizer, entree, and dessert), and it did not disappoint. As soon as we were seated, they brought over their complimentary focaccia bread with olives and olive oil to start the meal off right and my friend could not get enough of it! . For my appetizer, I ordered the lobster roll, and although the seafood was impressively fresh, I honestly should have gone with a lighter salad only because the roll felt like a bit too much bread alongside the delicious starter focaccia! For my main, I had the steak and eggs, which was hearty and cooked to my liking. I also asked for a side order of the pancake, which to me, curiously tasted exactly like a sweet, cornbread! To top it all off, we opted for the continuous pour option for an additional $20, which is a pretty good deal. For dessert, the bread pudding was phenomenal as always. Now, it happens to be one of my absolute favorite desserts, so I might be a little biased, but the friends who were with me completely agreed and thoroughly enjoyed it as well! What keeps us coming back here just as much as the fresh cuisine is the top-tier hospitality. We had the absolute pleasure of having Angel as our server today, which was fantastic since I've been fortunate enough to have him look after my party on a previous visit. On top of that, the management is always so incredibly sweet and welcoming. It is honestly so good to feel genuinely welcomed every single time you visit a place you love. Definitely a 10/10 spot for a weekend brunch, a date night, or getting the group together!

A huge plus is the paid parking lot around the corner with an exit onto 150th St, just a few doors down from the restaurant. Anyone familiar with the area knows street parking can be challenging , so that definitely made things easier. I came here to celebrate a dear friend's milestone birthday, and since she loves Italian food, this was her pick. We started by sharing the fried calamari, which was nicely fried and included both rings and tentacles. Neither of us eat the tentacles, so we pushed those aside. The calamari comes with a choice of mild, medium, or spicy tomato sauce -- we chose medium -- though honestly, I'm happy with just a squeeze of lemon on fried calamari. Each entrée comes with a choice of side dishes, and you can also upgrade both the pasta and sauce options. My friend ordered the Chicken Sorrentino, topped with prosciutto, eggplant, roasted peppers, and melted mozzarella over chicken cutlets. For her side, she upgraded to gnocchi and then upgraded again to Bolognese sauce. I had the Chicken Marsala, which was tender and juicy. Both dishes came with two thin cutlets each, but between the bread, garlic knots, and calamari, we only managed to eat one cutlet apiece and took the rest home. The Marsala sauce was flavorful and tasty. I personally would've loved more mushrooms, but overall it was still very good. I chose roasted potatoes on the side, and from the one bite I managed before getting too full, they were delicious. If you're in the neighborhood -- or even nearby -- this place is definitely worth trying. One thing to note: they only serve beer and wine, no full liquor bar. My Pinot Grigio was decent, and my friend enjoyed a light beer with her meal.

That was definitely a disappointment since we were looking forward to pizza, but we decided to stay and make the best of it. From the moment we walked in, the owner gave us such a warm and genuine welcome that we immediately felt comfortable. Angela, who was both our server and the manager, was wonderful, friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience very pleasant. For dinner, I ordered the Cod Oreganata with a side of roasted potatoes. The cod was very good, but unfortunately the potatoes were undercooked and quite hard. My friend had the escarole and bean soup along with Mom's Famous Meatball, and both were absolutely delicious. The fresh bread with the tomato spread was a standout, and I even made my own little olive oil dip with salt and pepper (although I couldn't help wishing there was some balsamic vinegar to go with it!). The only hiccup came at the end of the meal. A staff member who was trying to help accidentally picked up our check, even though he wasn't our server. This created some confusion with our cash and credit card payments. We later learned that he is deaf/hard of hearing, and it was clear he was simply trying to assist. While it did make settling the bill a bit of a hassle, we appreciated his willingness to help and didn't hold it against the restaurant. Overall, despite a few bumps; the missing pizza we expected, the undercooked potatoes, and the billing mix-up... we had a nice experience thanks to the welcoming atmosphere, Angela's excellent service, and several delicious dishes. Both were flavorful and well prepared. For entrées we ordered the Pappardelle alla Bolognese with homemade pasta and meat sauce, along with the New Zealand lamb chops over broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes. The pasta tasted fresh and authentic, and the lamb was tender and cooked as requested. Unfortunately, the night ended on a disappointing note because of the service. Mario was pleasant, but another server, I believe named Alex, overheard a conversation and became argumentative and sarcastic toward the birthday woman's son. It felt very unprofessional for the setting and completely changed the mood of the dinner, causing everyone to leave earlier than planned. The 93yr old woman was shaking. People should stay in their lane. Sadly, because of that interaction, I wouldn't return.
