So if you're looking for that, well... this ain't your place. However, what this place actually is, is a very clean, tidy motel with comfortable beds, within walking distance of several restaurants and bars, that doesn't charge you an arm and a leg. To be honest, I don't need a hot tub or a spa. I need a clean, comfortable room within walking distance of restaurants and bars. This place fit the bill perfectly. And I paid a grand total of $77 after tax. Seriously, what more could you ask for? Five stars, and I wish I could give it more.

This one is every bit as good as others in its class but more expensive, about 40% on average. It does have a few things cheaper alternatives may not. A clean working outdoor pool is one of them. The kids I saw loved it. Complaints made by others are mostly valid but relatively minor. Also very patriotic decor no doubt but in a good way. Nothing pushy or confrontational. Front Desk help I dealt with was professional. Nearby sister location is an unusually posh Super 8, also generally more expensive than its peers.

Selecting a 'pet friendly' room for our pup, we were thrilled that it was just as well kept & scent free as the regular rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was plenty quiet for getting great sleep. In the morning, they offered us some Covid-friendly breakfast packs, which were perfect for taking on the road with us. Strong, delicious coffee is always a plus, and theirs was great! We really enjoyed our stay at this remote river retreat. Imnaha has got to be one of the most…read moreremote places in the state, but it is also one of my favorite, with abundabt wild life and incredible scenery nearby, including the Seven Devils Mountain Range, Hells Canyon, the Snake River, the Wallowas known as the "Swiss Alps" of Oregon, the cute little town of Joseph, and Hat Point. We enjoyed a two hour leisurely breakfast while making new friends with the other guests. And sure could have downed our breakfast and been out of there in 15 minutes, but this is one of those hunting lodges that just makes you want to kick back and stay a while. The lodge was built by the current owner, who ran a custom home business, and the grand lodge design was really well thought out, the rooms were really spacious, and we loved how the rooms above wrapped around the big open style living room. This retreat is situated above the river in a truly picturesque high desert landscape.

Brad and I spent the day with Roy, a historian, a patient teacher and a funny as hell human being. Such an accomplished guide, drift boats man, with a love for the lakes and the rivers, that he both loves, and thrives in. He truly wants his guests to succeed in catching fish and makes every effort to do so. I was not having much luck on the last day and the last part of our journey together. He told me that he was going to get me a fish. He gave me a standard rod and reel, and then it happened, finally, I got a great fish. Hallelujah!! He was truly pulling for me to finally get one and "we" did ! Thank you Roy for your expertise, your fun loving and patient demeanor.
