Stopped by The Barn for breakfast on my way to Santa Cruz and I'm glad I did! They have their own parking lot and a TON of seating (outdoor only). You order at the register and then grab your food from their pick up area. It wasn't that crowded on a Friday morning (maybe 2-3 other parties there). They also have lawn games (corn hole, jenga, etc.). I ordered their breakfast burrito ($15-$16) and it was pretty big (ate 3/4 of it before getting full). Sometimes, pictures can be deceiving, and they don't always show the whole story. In pictures, the burger looks huge, juicy, and mouthwatering. But, in reality, it's a different story. The staff there were kind and attentive. There's outdoor seating in front of the restaurant, or you could head over to the garden area for more table seating outdoors. It's dog friendly, so bring your pup if you would like! The hand cut fries were crispy and slight soft on the inside so it made them a great side to get. The pretender had a perfect harmonious bite with the cheese, flax, arugula and all! It was a tiny bit on the heavy side for a veggie burger, but still definitely worth trying. What a great Mother's Day treat riding along the coast back from a trip to the Bay Area and stumbling upon The Barn. After my husband found this spot on Yelp, I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't just a rest stop restaurant..but so much more. The Barn is such a cool destination restaurant. Came here on a weekend with some friends. Be prepared to wait a while! Waited in line about 20 minutes to order and then another 20 minutes for our food to be ready. They do have a lot of seating, all outdoors. There are a lot of bees and wasps so if you're afraid of those I recommend getting your food to go. There is a parking lot, was full when we came so we parked back in the neighborhood. There is only one restroom which had a line the whole time we were there. Food was good. We got the what the cluck, pulled pork sandwich and barn burger. They have beer available but we stuck to the lemonade. We also got a slice of pie - olallieberry. Pie was great! Definitely get the whipped cream on the side. The exterior was adorable - basically just a big rustic barn with "Barnalicious" written across the front, and two separate outdoor seating areas. Everything was okay but my favorite item by far was the burger. My husband also enjoyed Mac attack but I think I didn't love it because of personal preference. Just the cutest little spot. We were visiting friends in Half Moon Bay and they recommended meeting at The Barn! We had an easy drive over to this adorable little barn that had open seating and a fun play area for the littles to run around in that was fully equipped with a giant jenga tower. We were pleasantly surprised at the decor, each table had a beautiful bouquet of fresh picked flowers. It was the perfect setting for a sunny weekday lunch. Also, every table was fully stocked with a big roll of paper towels, perfect to wipe the sticky fingers during our meal. The Mac attack (which was the biggest reason why we picked this spot) was honestly the best. While yes it was crispy, the mac and cheese lacked flavor and seasoning and wasn't cheesy at all- discussing it we agreed that the ratio of cheese to noodles was probably not similar. The chicken sand which was ok but nothing to brag about. Burger was almost like a house made burger, good but also nothing major.
