I told the cashier about it, and asked if they had any ice and she said "no, we don't have anything to put the ice in." I had to drive back for 2 and a half hours in pain. I just wanted to let them know so they can check their equipment so piping hot coffee doesn't burn anyone else. Also, just a simple "I'm sorry that happened to you" would've been appreciated but instead she looked at me like I had just personally insulted her just because I told her I burned my hand on their hot coffee. It was incredibly stressful, especially since it happened right before the holiday weekend when almost every other repair shop was completely closed. I pulled into this Steve's Shell Service Center, and Steve stepped up to help us. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and calm. He is extremely knowledgeable about modern vehicle electronics and took the time to listen to what happened, scan the vehicle's computer codes, and explain exactly what was causing the glitch. He cleared the error codes for us completely for free so we could get back on the road safely and finish our holiday trip. After a long test drive, the car is running perfectly normal again and all the dashboard lights are gone. Steve didn't just fix our car's electronic glitch; he saved our entire holiday weekend. But every so often you find yourself so inconvenienced by a left turn that you just have to gas up for a few cents more. No? Is it just me and my disdain for left turns? Okay, fair enough. So there's not much more to say than that. Every time I go through Cedar City (note: I'm not a local) this Chevron is always a few cents more than the rest of the gang there on 2nd. If you buy into the additives discussion, then you'll get them in the Chevron gas. But for the junk food, the cheaper gas, and what usually amounts to a better turn you may want to cruise up and down and see what the town offers you.
