As a dog lover, I spent more than 30 minutes looking for the owner who turned out to be a young woman working at the general store named Abbey. When I kindly let Abbey know that her dog had really scared me and he should probably stay closer to her, she yelled at me. Abbey was super quick to snap, start yelling at me and she made sure to tell me multiple times that her boss, the owner of the general store would have her "back", I'm not sure why anyone needed to have her back as I was being super kind and easy to talk to. She didn't need to yell either. The dog attack was one thing, but the Abbey attack was far worse. Horrible experience as a customer simply grocery shopping. Off the beaten path by maybe driving 2 minutes out of my way from the busy intersection off the highway and the bustle of the super busy gas stations around there, this was a quite mirage of sorts. A working air pump, nobody there getting gas but me, a lovely quiet retail space selling snacks and drinks and clean bathrooms, a nice girl working behind the counter. It appears the backside of this station does a big amount of trucking business, but not at the small gas station where I was. So ignore the trucks and drive on over for a less hassled rest stop and gas refill...and don't forget the air pump if you need it.
