I go to Lin's quiet often, like prescriptions, Starbucks, grocery shopping, bakery for all celebrations, but tell me how a girl named Rochelle M wanted to be WATCHING and running up to us to tell us we didnt scan something not once, but twice. And when confronted about her running up to us to tell us were "stealing" it she wanted to be snotty and say that im not getting a refund for wanting to just leave instead of continuing to check out. That is shitty customer service Rochelle M. And then PROCEEDED to not just make me feel harnessed, not once, BUT TWICE, also wanted to tell me I cant afford my groceries when im not just buying my own groceries. How shitty is that? Lin's is way overpriced specially compared to Smith's market which is just down the street. I've also noticed expired meat and salads in the store for sale several times in the past five months. Their so-called sale prices just bring their prices down to normal grocery store prices so it's not really a sale. read more

Being unfamiliar with Lin's Market, I was surprised at how large this market was. I found all the employees thoroughly helpful and friendly and they had all the groceries and toiletry items I needed. I even tried the deli fried chicken which was super juicy and delicious. This is definitely a thumbs up!! read more

Arriving at Cedar City on a Friday June evening most all restaurants were closed and most available franchise choices were backed up in the drive thru's ( you know the drill?). Ended up at Lin's busy clean market with many choices in deli. We were able to put together a nice dinner for 20$ which would have been spent easily at franchise food chains and had to wait in long lines . The chicken dinner hit the spot ! read more

Horrible customer service. I went to checkout and the cashier was coughing all over the place and on me. The cashier told me that she didn't. I called to speak to a manager and the manager barely let me explain the situation. The manager got upset when I explained it was "fucking gross". She was mad that I used a bad word as an adult than her cashier coughing all over the place and customers. I wasn't angry or cussing at the manager, just the situation. I ordered a cake for yesterday (8" round) for my sons birthday. Nothing special, marble cake, choc mousse filling, and fudge icing. Red trim, with matching sprinkles. Something for man. I never dreamed an 8" cake would be $20... but it was. And then there was literally no mousse in the middle... way too much fudge on the outside, and I guess they 'forgot' to read the part about matching sprinkles, because there were none. Pretty plain; not much to it for that price! So although the cake part itself was ok... it was definitely nothing we couldnt do at home equally as well, for $5. I wouldn't do this again... read more

OMG!!! The cakes they have in the case are amazing! We just moved here a few months ago and the location we used to live by never had these kinds of cakes unless you customer ordered them. The people in the deli and the produce department are friendly. I love that this location has self check-out! I am very picky about how my groceries are bagged. James was my cashier who was extremely patient and nice to me during a double checkout. Mikey bagged my giant, double household order in a way so I didn't get them mixed up, and got me a second cart for my daughter's groceries. Then he brought out the carts over and through frozen slush to my car and loaded it into my car in separate places so I won't get them mixed up! I had a very hard time finding things in this store, as I usually do, but these guys and a really nice young lady working there (I saw her in the frozen food aisle, putting back items) tonight have me leaving with a positive feeling about the experience. I went to this market last March... and probably will be here in about 2 weeks with Thomas Jefferson. It serves it's purpose and has GOT TO be your best bet at finding anything remotely gourmet. I had brought up my Panini grill to make sandwiches for us but of course waited until we were in Utah to purchase... meats, fresh basil, tomatoes, avocados and the bread for our panini's. I also was making enchiladas for Thomas' birthday up there so I had to purchase tortillas and enchilada sauce... I don't think they had enchilada sauce =/ but what the HEY? I'M IN FLIPPIN UTAH right??? what did I expect but they had the black olives, green onions/scallions and basic monteray jack & cheddar cheeses so they get a "star" for that! They did not have a HUGE selection of gourmet items but I had called ahead and spoke with someone who was more than willing to order certain types of meat because they knew I would be coming up. I wanted heirloom tomatoes, rosemary-olive bread, sun-dried tomatoes and specialty cheeses. The Deli person was very enthusiastic. I don't recall the wine selection being spectacular... good thing I had brought PLENTY from California and Washington State :) Here is the thing I'm picky when it comes to food and we will be returning first week of April so I'm sure they will see me again. Beware of the fine print!! I came in to pick up some sunscreen and was pleasantly surprised to find a huge selection with tons of discounted prices. What a great deal... or so I thought. Imagine my surprise when the checker rang up my purchase at a full $2 more than sticker price for my 3 oz tube. Turns out that I needed a special in-store coupon to get the discounted price. This was listed in microscopic print on the price tag. The coupon, of course, was nowhere to be found. :( read more

Was mostly looking for a Starbucks, but ended up buying groceries for dinner here as well. The name isn't something I'm used to (LA has more Targets and Albertsons). It's clean, well designed and has a lot of other things like a sandwich/panini making place (that also makes parfait/fruit bowls) and big self-serve ready-to-eat food bars (almost like a buffet) that was pretty cool and not something that's normally done in general LA supermarkets. They also had a little eating area that allows patrons to sit and eat after they order from their deli or food kiosks. The staff was very friendly and efficient too! Lin's reminded me of Sprouts, minus the main focus on organic, diet restrictions, dairy-free alternatives, and free-range food resulting in more expensive price tags. Lin's Market is like a cross between a Sprouts and Stater Bros/Albertsons. Has the nice layout design of Sprouts, but the affordable price tag like that of Albertsons and Stater Bros. I'll definitely remember that Lin's is a market option the next time I'm in Utah! read more

This store is clean and my go-to for groceries when I am in town visiting my parents. However, tonight I had one of the most annoying experiences. As I approached the register the cashier walked away to talk to her friend at the stand behind her. When she finally came back she laughed and talked to the other cashier the entire time. She didn't put in my customer number and acted put out when I wanted her to put that in. The two girls were being so loud and obnoxious flirting with the manager and talking about how the one had to use the bathroom. This was the worst customer experience I have had at a grocery store. That manager needs to explain to them how to act appropriate while at work. read more

I was very pleased to enter this store the day before Thanksgiving and find that they had everything I needed - including a pre-cooked turkey! Our family stayed in Duck Creek over Thanksgiving week and decided that a pre-cooked turkey would be the easiest way to go. It was tasty! I thought after reheating it, it would lose the juicy flavor, but it didn't! We made all of our sides and they had plenty! Whenever we stay in Duck Creek, I will definitely be loading up at this store before we head to the cabin! read more

In looking for another grocery store I was told about Lin's. Smith's has been my grocery of choice but I will now be bouncing between these two. The store was clean and staff was friendly. Lin's food and salad bar looked appetizing. Their deli had several options and staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. And the highlight was their Sushi bar! Their California Roll is the best I've tasted and let me tell you, I've tried it in many places. The store selection is very broad and they carry lots of Western Family products. It just so happened that I was able to take advantage of their "Case Lot" sale where you can get a nice price break when you buy items by the case. Their sale prices are very reasonable and selective shopping can save some money, especially when you can purchase items by the case. I was able to get a great deal on hamburger not to mention several other items. Lin's will now be a regular stop for me. I live off the beaten path so stocking up saves me on town trips. And even if I'm only driving through town, I'm stopping for some more of their California Roll!!! Dang that was good! read more

Nothing special about this market, serves its purpose. But it was the second market of the trip to give us a funny thing to repeat to each other. As we were checking out, a (I think) Japanese man who was part of a tour group was trying to get a checker to understand that he needed a refund for the purchase of a fridge pack of Pepsi he made a few moments earlier. But all he could manage was "Can not allowed on bus", which she couldn't even understand, let alone make the leap to him needing a refund. We left before it was sorted out, but we had fun with "Can not allowed on bus" for a while. read more

Lin's Marketplace has been a staple in Cedar City for as long as I can remember. They have grown with the town but haven't lost that small-town feel and quality of service. Their meat department has an excellent quality of meat without all the tricks used by some to extend the life of the meat. Their produce is crisp, and their dairy is fresh. The only complaint I could think of is the parking lot is always full but a little extra walking is not a bad price you pay for the quality of service. read more

I'm pleased with Lin's in Richfield UT; however, I am not pleased with products sold under the brand of "food club". In the past I had more choices in brand names but more and more brands are being removed to sell more food club products. Much of their products are inferior in taste and quality. Some things I will not buy. Most of the stores in central Utah are selling the same brand and not giving their customer choices on a lot of items. I find myself ordering more food items on the internet. The last item that caused me to make this post was the change in the packaging of 18 count eggs to plastic from degradable card board. I'm sure the reason for the change was the cost factor as plastic is probably a lot cheaper. Enough with all the plastic. I now buy my eggs by the dozen. By the way the yogurt is gross. I like doing business with Lin's but give me more choices so I don't have to buy so much on the internet. B Harvey read more

New resident of cedar city from Southern California.. I'd have to say it's a lot different to what I'm used to. My friend (who is Caucasian) and I (Asian) went to grab a few things and we observed people who couldn't stop looking at us with a frowned face, or maybe because we were dressed differently, or maybe they just knew we were cedar city natives and not used to seeing diverse groups? I can't quite put my finger on it.. Well, I've been here almost 2 weeks now and I don't really bother to step foot into any stores or restaurants without my husband, who is Caucasian as well. read more

This store is either in a brand new location or it has been completely remodeled. I was looking for some specialty things and boy do they have a great selection. It has a great deli, bakery and fresh produce. The store was well lit and very clean. Wish we had a Lin's in my hometown. I'll check with my governor and see if we can annex Utah into Texas. read more

Bought some bear claws today from the bakery in Lins Market. They tasted like a CHEAP imitation of the real thing. There were little if any sliced almonds on top and the filling inside wasn't correct. It's getting tougher and tougher to find a bakery that makes a true old school bear claw. If you can't make them the proper way then don't make them at all. read more
