My husband and I are locals in the area, and we come here quite often for their frozen drinks, ready-to-eat food, and snacks. Staff is super friendly and great to chat with when checking out. The gas station itself is busy with travelers and locals. Prices are very decent (we usually spend under $10 for 2 frozen drinks, a bag of chips, and 2 candies). It's a very clean and well maintained gas station, and our favorite spot to go when we get cravings for a snack or a quick bite. A good place to fill up the gas tank whether you are driving north to DHS or south to Palm Springs. The price per gallon is less than Chevron or Shell, but a few cents more than ARCO. The pumps are easy to use and maneuver. No complaints here. Select your available pump and fill up. read more

We are from California and we happen to be in the area coming from Arizona and decided to stop at this Maverick for one last chance to see if we can get the exclusive Mountain Dew honeydew flavor that's only available at these locations. There was an advertisement on the door, went in to look for it, and they did not have it. I spoke with the cashier behind the register and asked her. She said she wasn't sure that they should be getting it soon because they've been advertising it but they have not then she said let me ask the manager. The manager came over. I asked her and she said that they did not have it maybe later on during the week and I said wow OK I'm not gonna be in the area so that kind of sucks The cashier said you could always call the store and see if we have it and I said OK I'll go ahead and do that and then the manager proceeded to tell me that they did receive a case last week but they were already gone and I said yes I heard that from another location in Arizona and they said that all of their employees bought it so nobody got a chance to get one and this manager also, also told me that's what happened at her store Really sucks because it's exclusive and if you're not in the area and happen to be, you probably won't get it because of the employees getting first come first serve. I stopped at this Maverik on March 15 around 1:25 PM and had a frustrating experience. The cashier working at the time was an elderly woman who clearly did not understand how the system works. I paid $20 with my debit card for gas, and she handed me a receipt but never told me that there was an authorization code on it that I would need to activate the pump. Since nothing was explained and there were no signs posted anywhere, I threw the receipt away. When I went out to the pump it wouldn't work, so I went back inside. At that point they told me I needed the authorization code from the receipt to activate the pump. I explained that I had already thrown it away because no one told me it was important and there was no signage explaining the process. The cashier simply said "sorry, I can't do anything about it" and dismissed the situation with no effort to help resolve it. No empathy, no attempt to reprint the receipt, and no attempt to assist a customer who was clearly confused by a system that was never explained. I'm from out of state and have never used this gas station before, so there was no reason I would know about their code system unless someone told me. Now I'm left wondering if I just lost $20 because of poor communication and lack of basic customer service. Very frustrating experience. read more

We finally have a Maverick in the area!!! Have stopped in here several for snacks and drinks and for restroom breaks! Every time I've stopped in the worker is also friendly and welcoming and the store is also very clean and organized! The restrooms are also always neat and cleaned and well taken care of just like the restrooms of the store! They have an awesome selection of drinks and snacks and even have a hot food and cold food area that is awesome I've tried several of their hot and cold foods and I've never been disappointed when I wanted a quick bite to eat! I've been to to several Mavericks though out the west coast to get fuel and or drinks and snacks and I've never been disappointed or have walked into a dirty one yet it seems the company or the workers take pride in their stores and haven't ever had a bad experience in the many Mavericks across multiple states I've been to! If you're ever passing through or need a drink or quick snack I highly recommend stopping in and check in this place out as they have everything you need on road trips! I know I'll be back again as I'm a fan of Mavericks and haven't ever always had awesome experiences! Keep up the awesome job you guys are doing! Till next time or my next visit! Brand new gas station and the employees are very professional and very friendly. When you walk in to get gas, you will receive a code to type in the machine to dispense your gas. It's very similar when you get one of those car wash with a code. The price is very competitive and I'll be coming here more often. The pizza taste very good here compared to other gas station pizza. Maybe I came at the right time because the pizza was piping hot. If you come by this area, I suggest you stop by, did i say the price was very competitive? LOL read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Avoid this location! Passive aggressive INCOMPETENT staff, indifferent manager. Perhaps the worst experience I've had ordering food. If you want verification, question any of the staff's knowledge. Their false cheerfulness will immediately change to openly insulting you, despite the fact they have no idea what they are talking about! Pure insanity. Simply ordered a food item at the kitchen area counter. This led to Junior repeatedly telling me (incorrectly), while pointing a finger at me, that I was lying about what food item I had ordered, and became increasing hostile. He gleefully advised me repeatedly that there were cameras recording his behavior? Kimberly intervened, and repeatedly told me I was lying about what was included with the food item. Continued insanity. I POINTED TO THE STICKER INSIDE THE KITCHEN AREA THAT LISTED THE COMPONENTS OF THE FOOD ITEM, and in so doing, educated her on her wrong assertion, and that I was correct. She stood for a moment, dumbfounded, then became even more incredibly rude and insulting. Manager Bryan agreed to step out front with me. I explained how awfully I had been treated. He explained that his staff were "good people". I surrendered and realized their was no point in attempting to reason with anyone on duty at this store. First experiences with Maverik were at the location in northeast Las Vegas, and were good to outstanding. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Food was surprisingly good for "gas station" food. Was looking forward to them opening this first location in California that was in a location convenient for me to patronize. First visit (after several delays in them opening) I had problems with the competency and attitude of the staff and manager at the time. Consistently since then, would encounter some type of problem attempting to use their mobile app and/or paying for my food. read more

Kitchen produces great food but obviously understaffed and overworked. With a staffing issue shouldn't the supervisor/MOD pitch in and help? I've actually seen the "supervisor" doing busy work around the checkout counter without helping any of their staff, meanwhile kitchen staff is running their butts off trying to keep up. Lately they seem to be running on one or two people in the entire kitchen while I've observed in other locations up to five personnel doing the same work. It's appalling how this is allowed to go on. As a frequent visitor I can't see how this is allowed to go on. I've quit ordering food except when Victor(?) is working. Maybe this "supervisor" and management could learn a real work ethic from people like him. 5 stars for him!!
