I want to start off with not so good things which were the decor but it's a non-nonsense simple place that focuses on serving your pizza and warmth. We got the veggie and cheese pizzas, both of which tasted fantastic. The veggie pizza had loads of fresh vegetables and herbs, which made the taste so unique I love md it. However, what makes this place exceptional was the service we received. We reached there at 8:45 and the place closes at nine, but the staff was so accommodating and provided us with tables and did not rush us up to finish our dinner. The service was excellent and the waitress was very nice and attentive. This is a very casual spot if you are craving pizza!! My only gripe is the Happy HR advertisement they had outside. I asked the waitress for a drink off the happy hr menu and I was told it's only on Mondays....I went on a Thursday and said the sign outside is misleading. She told me they keep it outside all week..... They should put that sign outside only on Mondays since it will confuse customers during the week. Bad business practice!!! A staple in Palm Springs with another location in Palm Desert. It's straight to the point, pizza and some salads. It's a decent size place but does get pretty busy. It's affordable which brings in the crowds. Your fun pizza shop with the classic red and white checkered table cloths. There's patio seating that warps around the restaurant with misters for the hot day. Inside, it's pretty decent in size but not big. We've always seated ourself when we popped in as there's also some tables available. They normally tell you take a table with menus on it if it's available. Unless there's a line. Pizzas can be purchase by the slices as well. We've been mixing up lately with half and half on the large pizza. Also, it's nice to start off with a salad. We normally go with the antipasto but this visit, I went with their individual Caesar salad. Decent size with a heap loads of Parmesan shaving and crouton. Dressing was really nice as well. Pizza wise, a split with the Charlie Sheen, red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, smoked bacon, chorizo, meatballs, shaved Asiago, and topped with an herb that looks like parsley. Their words...lol... And tiger sauce, not tiger blood. Their words again...lol. The other half, Comeback, garlic infused olive oil, light mozzarella, caramelized onions, smoked bacon, ricotta, Asiago cheese, and finished with a curry honey drizzle and fresh parsley flakes. We wanted a quick bite one night we were in town and were lucky to be able to grab a seat inside. We read about this place so decided to give it a try. The place is pretty big and it is HOT inside no air circulation whatsoever buuuut it is what it is. Everything in Palm Springs is hot I guess. Staff was pretty friendly and they are pretty busy. We ordered 2 slices of the "Elton John". It was about a 15 min wait for our slices, the pizza itself was good. My only complaint is that they were luke warm, almost like they had been sitting out for a while. We didn't want to order a whole pizza because there was no way two of us could finish it and since we were visiting we didn't have space for leftovers. My go to Pizza spot whenever I visit the desert. Today's visit was excellent like always, but I had the added pleasure of having Esmerelda as my server. She normally works in the Palm Desert location so I was fortunate to have her as my server in Palm Springs. She is a delight: friendly, helpful, polite, prompt and attentive with a warm welcoming smile. My order was the delicious house Salad with ranch on the side. Along with a 10" Veggie personal pizza. I've been to Bill's Pizza a few times now, and honestly every visit kind of blends together which I don't think is a great sign when it comes to food. I can never remember the flavors because nothing really stands out, and this last time especially just didn't do it for us. The pizza didn't feel very fresh and had that "sitting too long" vibe that immediately makes you lose interest after a couple bites. I also ordered a Caesar salad thinking it would at least balance things out, but between the portions and the taste, I somehow left still hungry, which is never what you want after paying restaurant prices. That being said, the staff was genuinely nice and welcoming, which always makes a place more enjoyable, and it's actually a fun spot to sit and people watch if you're killing time or meeting up casually. I can totally see it being a convenient neighborhood pizza stop for some, but for us, the food just didn't match the experience enough to make us want to come back. Just dined here for dinner. We arrived to a bunch of stares as we walked into the restaurant. Wasn't sure what to do next since it was our first time at the restaurant. Husband decided to just sit down at an open table. Looking aroind dining area is large for multiple diners and empty tables had menus already on the tables. There were a handful of diners already eating or waiting for their orders. After sitting for a couple of minutes, a waiter came by to take our order. We ordered the small Cesar salad, a large pepperoni pizza and my husband wanted to try the meat lovers. He got an individual sized pizza. After 10 minutes or so, the large pepperoni pizza came out large and hot. It was a bit salty for my taste buds. My daughter ate 2 slices and loved it. We ate half of the large and my husband at 2/3 of his meat lovers. Waiter came by a few times to check on us and refilled drinks. Overall, food was good and staff was attentive. I thought the price was steep but was steady committed. I appreciated how generous they were with the toppings. There was so much chicken and veggies on top. I'm rounding my 4.5 star review up to a 5.... Because my God the pizza was even better today as cold leftovers in the car. I reached out to a Facebook group of people from Palm Springs and got recommendations from the locals and almost everybody said to come to Bill's for pizza. Once I started reading about it, I got excited though, I love a place that makes pizza with a sourdough crust. Plus, everyone talked about how good the ranch dressing is, and I am obsessed with ranch dressing, myself being from the south. We went for a half-and-half specialty pizza combo. My fiancé picked the Charlie Sheen and I chose The Delilah for my half. Both were absolutely delicious and the flavor of the crust is spot on. The sausage on the Charlie Sheen was a little bit sweet so if that's something you're not into just be aware of that. I loved the Delilah, vegetarian and a little bit more delicate with that garlic olive oil sauce. My only critique is that the pizza could've possibly been cooked just a little bit longer. I say this because when I picked it up, the piece of pizza did not hold the toppings on. The crust sagged immediately, and all the toppings slid off. No big deal, I ate it with a fork and knife, and loved every bite of it. But when I ate it as cold leftovers today, it tasted even better than last night and there was none of that saggy crust with sliding toppings. The interior was bustling and cheerful. Every time we are in Palm Springs our kids insist on getting Bill's Pizza. We don't complain, we like it, too! The kids stick to plain cheese, while my husband and I try the special pizzas each time. I used to be a fan of this Italian spot, especially their pizza and salads. it had a fantastic reputation for real Italian flavors. I even had pizza here about 4 or 5 years ago, and it was unforgettable. But this time, honestly, total disappointment. I ordered two slices: a combo slice and the chef's special. After about 5 or 10 minutes, they brought them to my table, but it was just... off. Bad taste, way too greasy, and the flavor just didn't hit the same way it used to. After a few bites, I was done, I didn't even finish them. It's such a shame, because the server was really sweet, super welcoming and friendly, and the place still has a nice vibe. But the taste was just a shadow of what it used to be, maybe it was an off night, or maybe the magic is gone. Either way, I won't be rushing back. I'll give it 2 out of 5 stars. Or, perhaps the thieving staff member who, instead of holding on to the sunglasses that you inadvertently leave on the table, decides to keep them for him/herself. I get it. "Finders, keepers," right? That's what the kid would chant in elementary school after they found something that didn't belong to them, and the original owner wanted it back. "Finders, keepers. Losers, weepers." And as long as they are finding, keeping, here's something else they should find and keep: table salt. It's commonly used as a key ingredient in most foods to enhance flavor. Commonly found in grocery stores, it is an integral part of most recipes, and even a little goes a long way. But you won't find it in Bill's kitchen. As long as we are on the subject of salt, have you ever tossed a pinch of salt over your left shoulder? I'm sure you have. But do you know why? Superstition holds that throwing a bit of salt over one's left shoulder blinds the devil who is lurking behind you, waiting to cause bad luck. But, what if the devil is wearing my stolen Ray-Bans? You are certainly not going to blind him. But since he also works at Bill's Pizza, perhaps he can catch some of that salt and take it back to Bill's kitchen. Enjoy my Ray-Bans. read more

All these 5-star reviews are most definitely from people on vacay from other cute places with only one decent pizza place in their whole town. When I say the Elton John pizza is excellent, it's not an exaggeration. It's the opposite of what I like. There's a white sauce, it has veggies, and it is divine. I am forever changed.
