Have been here twice in the past couple months and last time I was hoping it was a fluke, but sadly, today it was the same. Shrinkflation. I ordered a carne asada burrito and got the smallest size burrito. I typically eat one in two meals because they are normally big. However, today I was able to finish it with ease. I can't justify paying so much for a burrito and not get the size right. Sadly, if people feel the same, I can't imagine this place staying in business. I love the flavors of this place, but can't get on board with tiny portions.

Smother chile verde burrito . And some delicious red onion with habanero and oregano

What a great service and very tasty food. I ordered a smother burrito and it was delicious. 100 % recommended. Great customer service, and an extremely clean place. Can't wait to comeback

Food was way too greasy and meat on my burrito was unseasoned. Had no flavor and the burrito was cold. And they got my order wrong.

Well...if you're not my husband, that is...he's still complaining about his rinky dinky tostada for $8 and the non-Mexican mozzarella cheese on top. But since I'm running this Yelp account and not him, I say it was pretty great for a semi-fast food restaurant. The fish tacos tasted fresh. I enjoyed the accompanying sauce. Beans and rice taste better than they looked on the menu. Salsa wasn't bad either. Not much of a kick, but still satisfying. My photo is of half my meal since you couldn't stop me from devouring the first taco even if it was on fire. Road trips make me hungry! What can I say! The Yelp photos show a wall menu - that's no longer the case. It's now booth & menu seating, however, I was pleasantly surprised the food came out in a jiffy so we could get back on the road to finish our 1600 miles. For the sake of peace, I split the ratings difference and gave Paff's 3.5 stars.

We got chips and salsa, a side of queso, an order of 2 street tacos and an order of flautas. Overall the food was average. While the salsa was fresh and flavorful, the queso dip was obviously out of a can, bright orange and tasteless. The street tacos were shredded beef and carnitas; both were served with double-corn tortillas, fresh chopped onion and fresh cilantro, but the meat fillings were bland, and the carnitas were not as crispy as I like. My co-worker had the flautas (rolled and deep-fried tortillas stuffed with meat and cheese) - she said they were ok but a little greasy. I probably would not eat here again, but will say that the menu is large and it could be we just ordered 'wrong'. Our server was very nice, the interior was clean, and I did enjoy the murals painted on the walls too. This place is located in a strip mall just off the highway in Evanston. Very convenient location with plenty of parking.

The name leads you to believe it was a Mexican restaurant, but they actually had Italian, American, and Mexican offerings on the menu. I had looked at the online menu before arriving and found that the prices were about $4.00 higher online than on the menu inside the restaurant. The hostess was friendly and welcomed us with a smile. She seated us quickly and there were not too busy. The waitress was efficient with taking our order, but the food seemed a little slow to come out based on the number of customers. I ordered the Avocado Eggs Benedict. It was very tasty and the avocado complemented the traditional eggs benedict well. It came with hashbrowns that were cooked like I like them, not too crispy but not mushy or soggy either. The waitress came by regularly and kept our drinks full. I took an order of buffalo chicken wings to-go. When we opened them to eat later, the lettuce they put in the to-go box was all wilted. The carrots and celery were pretty tiny and didn't add much to the dish. The blue cheese dipping sauce was a good flavor and offset the buffalo sauce well. The chicken wings were smaller and not anything special. I would recommend the breakfast here, but suggest skipping the chicken wings.

It's located in a plaza and doesn't have the best outdoor appearance as some of the other places we've been to. Upon entering, it's a small place with a Mexican grocery store attached, which I'm assuming means that it's family owned. They had soft music playing, the decor wasn't that fantastic. We were greeted with cold chips and cold homemade salsa, which was in a container that we had to pour. The salsa was nice and cold with a good spicy kick to it. We're vegetarians so we asked the older lady there if they used animal fat in their beans, in which she replied that they did. She couldn't speak English that well, so we decided to ask another woman there, which I assume to be the daughter of the older woman. She then again said that they do, I asked her if she could make the refried beans without animal fat and she went back in the kitchen and sent her sister out, whom could speak proper English. I asked her and she clearly denied that they don't use animal fat and that the other two had difficulty speaking and understanding English. We went ahead and ordered a piña colada, which was probably the most amazing thing I've ever had in such a long time! It had the perfect blend of sweet coconut and pineapple juice. My favorite part was the three maraschino cherries on top, their juices combined with the piña colada was phenomenal. We ordered three cheese enchiladas which came with a side of rice, beans, and lettuce and tomato. When we got our order, it was covered in cheese. I love cheese, but this was too much. It looked like a blend of cheddar and mozzarella, I personally don't like too much cheddar in my Mexican food, I prefer monterrey. I took my first bite and I swear, I couldn't taste the sauce, the cheese, or the tortillas. I couldn't taste anything. There was no taste to the enchiladas. They seemed extremely bland. There was some additional sauce on the side, and I tried that, I couldn't make out the flavors. The only thing I tasted was burnt tomatoes. The rice was bland as well, which is a reoccurring problem I've noticed in Mexican restaurants. The beans did not taste like they were cooked in animal fat (we made sure before eating our food), and they were hearty, warm, but bland. All in all, everything except the salsa and the piña colada was bland. It wasn't that good, whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend this place to others, especially if you're a vegetarian. I've been to better Mexican restaurants, with better ambience and food. If you're in town and you're looking for a good piña colada, this is where you should go to get it. I had the non-alcoholic, but it was deliciously made.

They quickly adjusted seating to fit our large party comfortably, which isn't easy. We really appreciated that. Unfortunately, the food experience was mixed and had some consistent issues that affected most people: * Several meals arrived lukewarm or cold, including a child's Mac-n-Cheese that was straight from the Kraft box and cold. Most of the table reported similar temperature problems. * Our nacho platter with pulled pork was a decent size with good toppings, but the cheese on top wasn't warm at all. The pulled pork was a bit light on portion and average in flavor (though the cheese underneath it was actually warm). * The side salad had some brown lettuce pieces that should have been removed. * The Firecracker Burger was good, but the fries tasted like fish -- likely from being fried in the same oil as the fish & chips. * The chicken panini was lukewarm and felt overpriced for the quality. Most menu items start at $17+, and the value doesn't seem to match the price point. On the positive side, both pizzas (pepperoni and cheese) were a hit with the younger kids -- they really enjoyed them. Edit - the kids said "the pizza dough wasn't really cooked but it was fine" We know running a restaurant is tough, especially with big groups, and the friendly service stood out. With some focus on food temperature, portion consistency, fryer separation, and price-to-value on certain items, Suds could be a much stronger spot. There aren't many restaurant options in the area, so we'd love to see them improve and come back next time we're in town. Thanks again to the team for their efforts.
