They actually have a lot of food and different brands as well as a LOT of gluten free options. This was amazing, as a lot of small business groceries stores don't have a lot of gluten free options, but they certainly did! The prices were also reasonable. Not cheap, but not to expensive. Good store to shop for groceries in Moab, Utah!

Unfortunately, at some point in the past few weeks, the price of the ice cream I buy increased to $7.49. There may be a reasonable explanation for the $2.50 increase. However, the store provides no notice or certainly no explanation when an item's price rises that much in such a short period. In addition, the employees at the registers just stand there with blank looks on their faces unable to provide any information. I was certainly disappointed. Despite that disappointment, there are still reasons to recommend shopping there. If one is in a hurry to get in and out, Village Market isn't the rat race that City Market is. The store is exceptionally clean and free of obstacles in the aisles and open areas, unlike the clutter in that other store. The prices may be slightly higher, but the shopping experience can be much less anxiety-provoking than one would experience at the Kroger "family" store.

I went to this Maverick location for gas while passing through Moab on my way from Arches NP to…read moreMonticello. They generally have lower gas prices at Maverick than other location and have a rewards program you can opt into that saves a cent or two per gallon on your fills. Something to note is that when I went to this location, there was some kind of glitch on one of the pumps (I think it was pump number 10, but can't remember exactly at this point). Basically after I scanned my credit card and entered my phone number the pump froze and wouldn't let me get to the point of selecting a fuel type/pumping the gas. I waited for about 5 minutes (which feels like an eternity when you're just standing at the pump) because I was nervous about walking away after putting in my credit card. I ended up running inside to tell the worker and he said that he wasn't sure why it glitched but that it wouldn't charge me for anything and eventually the pump would cancel the transaction and go back to the main screen. He told me to just try another pump which I did, and didn't have any issue. I monitored my card charges like a hawk for a few weeks but never saw anything aberrant show up, so everything was fine. Other than this issue with the pump freezing, I had no issues getting gas at this station. It was a little busy/crowded but not so much so that no pumps were available.

I only saw an average coffee station inside so I asked the two quiet ladies behind the counter if this was the only coffee selection. One replied kindly that she could make me a fresh specialty right over at her station! Score ! She also pointed to a board with many flavors and had non dairy options for a cream. 5. & some change - it was DELICIOUS! The Barista FIVE STARS! The ambiance at Dave's Corner Market is a little run down & priced on the higher side but it's absolutely a convenience store!! They Even Have A Pay Phone!!! Haha On our way back into town I needed Another pick me up ! We were in a bit of a hurry so I just went in & grabbed a refrigerated bottle of Starbucks. Also 5. & some change. I am 69 years old, never raised my voice, but he got belligerent, mad, and actually scared me (came out to my car huffing and puffing, and threatened to call the police. We had to tell her our order several times before she remembered it. When we tried to be friendly and ask if the cooler weather had been a nice change, she completely ignored us. Then.. When we went to the check out to pay, the lady at that counter tried to charge us extra for gravy. When we pointed out that the price seemed a little high for what we had ordered, we were met with rude resistance. We had to actually walk over to the other counter with her to point out the price that was clearly stated in big characters on the board. She still very reluctantly changed the price on the register to what it was supposed to be. The employees of this establishment REALLY need to work on their customer service skills. The way we were treated was unacceptable, and we definitely won't be referring people to come here.
