Is it weird to say I have an emotional support gas station? Because this is definitely it. From the moment we entered Utah, we noticed "Adventure's First Stop" was everywhere. We stopped in every single day that we were in town, sometimes even twice in one day. They have good gas station coffee, a wide variety of snacks, and clean restrooms. What more could you want? This is a quality gas station. Employees were friendly every time I went and prices are generally reasonable for Moab. The bathroom and the entire place was consistently clean, though the lines for the single stall all-gender bathrooms was usually going through the aisles. I recommend their pastries and burritos, for their price and quality I very much enjoyed. read more

I love gas stations that feel more like grocery stores, and this is one of them. Mavericks is packed with a variety of food and drink options, both hot and cold. My main complaint is how busy it is, but I suppose that's a good thing. The line to the bathroom was pretty intense every time I stopped in there on my camping trip last week. Granted, it was spring break, so maybe it's better during off-season. Service is very friendly. I had a nice conversation with a cashier named Anna whose smile was a lovely addition to my day. There are some nice picnic benches outside to sit at if you're needing some time to stretch before piling back into the car. Entire place is very clean which is always appreciated. Gas prices are normal for Moab and people tend to get in and out of the place pretty quick. Next time I'm in the area, I'm keeping my eye out for a Mavericks. read more

Stopped for a fountain drink and to use the restroom. Maverick's are great. This one was no different. Clean restrooms, fountain drinks, snacks and other essentials. And of course gas for the car as well. The attendant was friendly and we got in and out with minimal fuss. read more

I've been into Moab a few times this year, and I'm not sure how I never realized there was a Maverik in town. Not that I was looking for it, but on my last trip through town I happened to notice it set back on the west side of the road. I think there's an overgrown tree branch in front of the sign that kept me from noticing it. In any case, there it is, selling gasoline a few cents cheaper than the spots closer to the center of town. I didn't venture inside, but I've seen this size store before and pretty much know what they tend to have. In a town like Moab with very limited selection of places to drop in to buy unprepared food, it's a valuable stop when you want some food, drinks, or a snack. read more

You had to pay inside for gas but the line inside was like 15 people deep and moving very slowly. No way to social distance in here. The bathroom was tiny--for a Maverik--and dirty. They do have a nice area for dogs on a leash. I have pretty high standards for Maveriks and this one did not get even close to meeting them. read more

This is a pretty small gas station that gets packed! The line for the women's restroom is always long so if you're looking for a potty break - look elsewhere! Although it's small, they've got a good selection of beer, sodas, energy drinks, sports drinks, snacks, toiletries, OTC meds, etc. The staff is always nice and helpful. They serve hot food like corn dogs, tornados, etc. The gas is pretty reasonable and only about 5-10 cents more than you'll find in your hometown. Worth a stop for gas and snacks. read more

Mavericks are great stops for your quick, good meal needs. They always have breakfast burritos or a good variety of pre made sandwiches. If you need lite and healthy fare, they always have salads and veggie trays to go as well. This particular location has a small women's bathroom and there is usually a line during the tourist season. read more

We were specifically looking for triple a batteries, and time was a factor( we needed them for headlamps) and after calling a few places, we called this branch of Maverik. The lady on the phone assured me several times that they did in fact have the batteries we wanted (I even asked if she was sure, she said yes). So we sped over to the shop, since it was just a few minutes drive - and once we got there- no triple a batteries. And the lady just shrugged and was like oh we must've run out. Clean bathrooms, easy to access gas pumps, an array of food options. Prices were reasonable, and the view was amazing. It's very easy to get to from the highway. There was a rock garden for dogs to use, but no grass in that part of Utah. Pleasantly pleased with this establishment. read more

Wow! Open 24 hours AND super clean! They have a little staging area where if you want to park your camper and sleep you can do so. There is also a staging area for 18 wheelers with a "no idling" sign but some of the truckers parked there were ignoring it. Great place for a pit stop or an overnight stop. read more
